I got self conscious about seeming older. But I also miss using a real photo. Feels more personal.

I dont post my picture either, lol. What could be more personal to people who cant see each other except talking heart to heart? It's all heart to heart on the forums. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks Right?

And don't worry about seeming older. You're talking like your in your 20s right now, lol!
I prolly used a bad choice of words, soory about that. I should have known not to say that! 50s or 60s! What was I thinking?! weepy Besides, if you're only 29 and 1 day is 1000 years to the Lord then you wont even reach 1 hour old until you are 41 so you're merely a babe in Christ.

I shoud've stuck with your wise beyond your years.

While there's nothing wrong with being 50 or 60, part of me is hoping I don't seem like a marriage veteran.

I feel technically unqualified to talk about these topics. The ideal I see in Titus 2 is that women of a good age with grown kids would have more of a right to share wisdom.

Ive been married 9 years and have a 1 year old daughter and a son on the way. It should be older women sharing and mentoring but unfortunately I just never had that going into marriage.

If it weren't the fact that Titus 2 style mentorship is so scarce, I don't think Im the one to post. But older women like this seem hard to come by today.

I'll buy that.

Moses thught he was unqualified too, lol. Just sayin'.
So you see the lack of teachers for this and you know the message, so are driven to share it yourself. That sounds like a natural reaction. You know it's important and so should be being taught. Either that or perhaps this is something that the Lord actually put on your heart?

I read your posts. You talk very well. I think you are less unqulified than you think you are.

The Lord does that stuff sometimes. Ask me how I know, lol.

Have you ever felt compelled to say something despite not feeling like the most qualified to say it?

I suppose I don't feel like I have no right to say anything. Its just not ideal in my eyes.

Yes, that's what I was saying earlier almost. That's what makes the Pastors wife so apparent. You spot her by her dress and then recognize her through her speech and mannerisms. That has to be the Pastors wife!.

I've learned that I can sorta practice this at the supermarket or out shopping wherever. It's called spot the couples. And you can tell who they are even if their not standing right next to their spouse. When people are together they start dressing a like and acting alike. (and why wouldnt they? They do.)

All the time! You're kidding, right? Lol. I think the compulsion to speak may in fact be....feeling like a chosen one maybe? Sorta put on the spot?
Nobody else has said this. No one is speaking against it. I know it's false...dadada.
But who am I lord?

And the Lord said....!!...I have not given you a spirit of Fear...
Uh-oh. He's right. What is fear anyway?
False Evidence Apprearing Real.

And why? I'm glad you asked. Because of Isahiah 41:9-10

9 I have called you back from the ends of the earth,
saying, ‘You are my servant.’
For I have chosen you
and will not throw you away.
10 Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.../NLT

I think these verses might be the best verses about fear in the entire bible.

All through the bible it says, do not fear, fear not, now when scripture repeats something, it means it's important and He wants us to learn it. And the single most repeated thing in the bible...is, do not fear, fear not. yea tho you walk through the valley you will fear nothing, and so forth and so on.

So that's when we have to grab the reins and obey. But dont worry! Fear not. You have a good delivery with your words. Embrace it and ask for the Holy Spirits assitance.

And...Lord help our unbelief.

You can believe Isaiah 41 ...I will help you...is what He said.

I love to read about how different Christian women practice and apply modesty. But it got confusing at times.

I see several camps:

Camp 1: Its not about rules and a dress code, its about the heart!!!

Camp 2: There is a biblical dress code and it shows reverence for God.

Camp 3: Modesty is avoiding drawing attention to yourself at all. Wearing plain/drab or formless clothing is what true modesty is.

I believe all three camps have value and would partially agree with all three. There are biblical guidelines. It is a heart issue. It encompasses conduct and actions. It is good to not dress to draw unnecessary attention to yourself and your sensuality.

But I also disagree a bit. Heart reflects in our clothing choices. Dress codes are sometimes man made traditions. And the Proverbs 31 woman wore silk and purple. She was hardly drab.

So what is modesty?

If a someone has a modest bank account, what does that say?

His money does what it needs to do but not too much else.

I think thats closer.

The problem I ran into is that modest, feminine clothing makes me feel really pretty. Ladylike. Confident. Even Attractive. Am I right back to square one? Is that vanity?

No. I think women attract attention regardless of how they dress. Regardless of how unappealing we may feel, yes the men are noticing you. Being female is more than enough.

Modesty and humility isn't about purposely looking bad or even covering as many features as possible.

The modest woman checks the mirror, feels functional, not overly sexualized, and may even feel cute but then goes on about her day.

She isn't consumed with how bad or good she looks or expensive labels. There's good to accomplish and she's dressed to do it.

I am in love with dresses. Some of the cute ones are very modest! Ive never felt restricted by trying various modesty standards even when I stopped wearing pants for a season.

I never even felt less noticed by people. Especially male people. If anything, that sort of attention increased at times, though it was often more respectful. More politeness and doors being opened.

I used to wonder if that made me less modest. But now I just think modesty is attractive and trying to be unattractive is a fools errand for women. You can unnattract some men...but not all of them.

Your intentions do matter there. My husband explained "dressing single" and "dressing married". At first I didn't get that either.

Then he said "think of a Queen's lady in waiting... she's dressing well to honorably reflect her royal family, not to draw all the honor to herself. But she definitely looks good. Dressing married dresses well to honor God and/or husband and/or children. Dressing single is advertising that you want attention for yourself for your own benefit.
Ma'am. I'm being harassed and baited by several members. I documented what I said. And defended myself.

Rita. Staff member gave me warning.

Few members are using pretext to bait me.

Example. On uncommon thread. I never directed shepherds chapel to karl person. Then he belittles me on the thread. I defended myself.

Arthur 81 , on China and Russia thread. Baiting me, and trying to belittle me.

I'm the one being harassed and baited.

Thank you.

Hi! I actually have no moderating or disciplinary priveliges. I'm more of an ambassador in a sense. Have you used the report button on the posts you mentioned?

Ive been in contact with Rita.

Apparently, I think member used the report.

Several menbers tried to trash my thread china and Russia. Using devious tactics.
Baiting me and belittle tactics.

I defended myself. I got little rough with them. They're cussing trouble. I haven't been on the thread lately.

On the uncommon thread. Karl Peters used devious tactics.
He used shepherds chapel as pretext to try to belittle me. Pushing my buttons.

Karl has set pattern of going after other members. Trying to excert his authority on others. Its form of bullying.

He is slick and crafty.

I told the truth about the John chapter 6, and parable of the sower. Karl indirectly called me liar.

He denys the election.

I documented everything. He continues in his ways.

Thank you.
