ὕδατος καὶ πνεύματος

This translates as “Water and Spirit”.

Relics are as old as time and memorial. The reason it freaks-out people like YOU out is because of your mind-numbing ignorance of Church and Jewish history. You’re only familiar with what is written in the New Testament - and NOT really that much.

The Jews collected relics of their important people in ossuaries (bone boxes). For example - the bones of the prophet Samuel are kept in a very Orthodox synagogue in Israel. One of the teeth of George Washington and some of his hair are kept in a facility in Boston.
You can also see Galileo’s finger, a piece of President Garfield’s spine, skill fragments from Abraham Lincoln and Beethoven - and many more . . .
