God set before all-Deuteronomy 30:19--LIFE or DEATH-actions proves one choice= Learning and obeying EVERY utterance from God and his son.
At Rev 20 we see the wicked get destroyed=eternal death. The lake of fire = eternal death. Its why death and Hades are thrown into it to destroy them eternally. Satan and his angels sinned-the wages of that = death.
At the resurrection-all have already been judged for past sins and death was the wages paid for those sins. They cannot be rejudged for the past sins. Thus at the resurrection, all get an opportunity to learn and apply Gods will with no satan influences there for the 1000 years. But they will get tested when satan is loosed for a little while. the faithful get names written in Gods book of life, the unfaithful who follow satan get destroyed. Rev 20 explains alot of that.
While that may explain Revelation 20, it doesn't explain Revelation 21 or 22, that suggest there are people outside the City Gates of Heaven, friend.

There is a lot of symbolism in Revelation. I think it means no wicked will be allowed to enter Gods kingdom. They will get destroyed. Rev 20:9= all who follow satan after he is loosed for a little while. Then there will be no more wicked existing.( Psalm 37:10)

There is also a lot of truth too, have you ever read, that people have only a part of the lake of fire before?

Don't come in here goading, I will report you this is your first warning.
You said you had the freedom to look at the Scripture how you want....is that not doing what is right in your own eyes?

This will be your second warning.

You are not someone who has any authority over any of the bible writings. Everyone must decide for themselves, and let the spirit guide them. I could be wrong in my view, but I don't believe that I am (everyone must decide for themselves.)

Show me how and where you derive at the lake of fire being a literal place.

Thank you for sharing what you believe, for me I believe Jesus had victory over the second death. Not so sure that Gods will is to have any to perish when it comes to human beings, my encouragement is for people to while they need to view all of the Revelation, they also need to take in Revelation 21, and 22, @Keiw. All the best.

I simply believe God is a consuming fire, and the fire comes from him... that is the lake of fire. If he is not a literal being, then perhaps it is all just symbolic that would be my reasoning. Where is that lake of fire? In front of the angels and the Lamb, what people take from it is up to them, and what they believe can be contrary to what I believe and I will still love you, that is the point in allowing liberty in Christ Yeshua the Messiah.

No one has the authority to say - I am wrong. - I believe these things by faith. Save God himself, and I dont feel so condemned about what I do believe.

Hope you understand @face2face, it's people who will condemn others for their beliefs and God can do that too, especially when truth is presented to them, inside of them burns when truth comes, just as Jesus Christ came to baptize in the holy spirit and 'fire', this fire happens to followers of him as they go about life and when they are presented with truth.

That is my overall analysis.

@MatthewG @Keiw

Rev 19:21 The rest were killed with the sword coming out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh.

Do you believe its a literal sword coming out of the mouth of the rider?
Is it a literal horse?
Are the birds actually eating flesh?

Sorry, @face2face, not getting into the topic that is not addressed here on the thread.

If you want go teach on the revelation, please go do so in another thread.

This deals with specifically if God is sending people to hell or not today. (Pertains to the lake of fire, hell)

Thank you.

This is the third and final warning for goading. The next one will be a report.

Please take your question to another made thread by you yourself, if you would like me to participate I might choose to do so.

Here is the section in discussion:

19 Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage war against the rider on the horse and his army. 20 But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped its image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. 21 The rest were killed with the sword coming out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh.

How many figures of speech can you highlight?

I've given you one, give it a go and then we can discuss their meaning.

Hey Face, i reported you then retracted as you pointed out the lake of fire is there.

Let me tell you, i take the revelation in different ways.

I will say that birds do gorgue and eat flesh, just look at the vultures. The sword coming out the mouth of the ride would be symbolic for Jesus (in my opinion) those whom professed Christ as King, and you also have to consider that this beast had to perform signs (i take that as nero), and the kings that wages war on the rider and his army was the killing of Christians amongst that nature. You see that the two where thrown in the lake of buring sulfur (the false prophet and the beast), and you have the devil in the next chapter. Perhaps also the words that came from Jesus was the promised plagues dumped out upon the nation of Israel; and the armies surround the city which had 1,000,000 death total.

But look what do you see all that to mean?

Good question,

Hope that helps you understand my own postion on that section of scripture, and hope to see what you may have to say though I may disagree with you @face2face. Cause I have to admit i may be wrong about all of it; but considering the time of those events and one which a generation had to go through I dont see it wrong nor feel very condemend about beliving in that way.

Here are some my personal used study tools.

I highly recommend anyone to read and study the bible if they so are desirous of truth. Of course, not everyone is willingly to do those things, as a friend said "it's a daunting task."

There are seven books I own for help in study.

Holman Study Bible: NKJV Edition, Jacketed Hardcover 9781433605093 | eBay (HOLMAN study bible)

Vine's Complete Expository Dictionary of Old and New Testament Words and Greek dictionary)

NKJV Thompson Chain-Reference Bible, hardcover a great overview of the bible in a form of topics over 8,000)

Josephus: The Complete Works (Always use to be near where bibles were sold a inter-testimonial from someone who lived in the times of the apostles)

The Great Fire of Rome: The Fall of the Emperor Nero and His City 306818906 | eBay (A book picked up about Nero)

(Just a general summary off foot notes of and on Revelation, there is a bigger collection found (Revelations on Revelation | Commentary Collection, Volumes 1-22 — Shawn McCraney)

People must seek truth if they desire the truth that shall set them free.

Its petty to come badger me @gpresdo, best stay on topic, ill will have no issue but to report you though if you continue to goad.

Is God still sending to people to hell?

Its yes if Jesus has yet to come back. Its no and everyone to the heavenly realm if he has come back be it outside the kingdom or inside. Revelation 21-22.

I simply believe God is a consuming fire, and the fire comes from him... that is the lake of fire. If he is not a literal being, then perhaps it is all just symbolic that would be my reasoning. That is my overall analysis.
No scripture...but, the bible speaks of an issue with earth...issue with moon, stars etc...but I am still looking for commentary on the sun.
I am beginning to believe the sun.....is the lake of fire.

@gpresdo may God guide you to what you seek. I can't do anything more than hope and pray for all the individuals that are known to me in my soul, and hope the best for them as they go on in this life, that they may stay close to Yahava, and they may find rest, and truth which will set them free.

:) The study tools that are used which have been collected over time, are in post number
Take care, in Christ.
