Just for interest sake, is @marks agreeing with your doctrine of righteousness, or are you agreeing with his, or are there disagreements? And no matter what you say...the flesh knows how to hate the truth. And will always do so.
I have no idea. People have to be seen as in transition. We are in the wilderness walk...and there is always the possibility that people will let go of their religious presumptions and have an ear to hear the truth. of course, this is rare....but it does happen! ;) Even you, can learn what the bible refers to as "righteousness".Just for interest sake, is @marks agreeing with your doctrine of righteousness, or are you agreeing with his, or are there disagreements?
You make a lot of false claims on what I believe, as well as to others. Can you be instructed in righteousness..as Paul says? Well, not if you think you know the depths of God's ways already.
God never treated His Son as a sinner. This is a misreading of the text. God ALWAYS sees things the right way. It is religious people that invent things and pretend.
A scapegoat is evil....one that is not "of the Lord." La-hashem How can Jesus be "not of the Lord? "... if He is the Lord? The scapegoat is actually believers who are not sacrificed...not crucified...they are set off into the wilderness, because they are not OF the Lord. As in...go away, I never knew you.God gave His son to be an atoning sacrifice for us.
Isaiah 53:6 We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
We have the example of the scapegoat in scripture as well...the priest laying the sins of Israel on the scapegoat then sending it out into the wilderness to die.
We also have the similitude of Abraham about to slay his son Isaac.
Righteous is as righteousness does. And unrighteous acts are stupid. Love is good, hate is not - opposites. Lighten up. I know you are defending your teacher.Completely uncalled for.
Okay, it was just a statement, reiterating a fundemental belief in Christianity. It wasn't brought up for discussion. Out of this belief flows truth. Rejecting it really impedes truth that is taught by God, the Holy Spirit. If you reject the Holy Spirit or are confused about Who He is, obviously you aren't asking for a relationship with Him. Without being baptized by the Holy Spirit, you cannot discern scripture. All scripture is spiritually discerned. Otherwise you are just leaning on your own understanding. I'm not provoking a discussion about the Trinity. Frankly a prohibition of the discussion of the Trinity should be anathema. It is needed. I think I will make an appeal to the staff. We aren’t allowed to discuss this except in the non orthodox forum.
Nope. I wasn’t defending anyone. I examined your very own words there.Righteous is as righteousness does. And unrighteous acts are stupid. Love is good, hate is not - opposites. Lighten up. I know you are defending your teacher.
It’s okay. They deleted it.Okay, it was just a statement, reiterating a fundemental belief in Christianity. It wasn't brought up for discussion. Out of this belief flows truth. It was a tongue in cheek comment - from my favorite movie, Forrest Gump.Nope. I wasn’t defending anyone. I examined your very own words there.
Okay, well I don’t believe that. You were going after him.It was a tongue in cheek comment - from my favorite movie, Forrest Gump.
That figures, you agree with Episkopos, you like him. Thats cool. He's got one student anyways. He's does have almost everyone else (pretty knowledgable guys on this Forum) disagreeing with him!Okay, well I don’t believe that. You were going after him.
Wow, another zinger ... I strongly disagree. The idea that God the Father put Jesus on the cross is very wrong. In the parable of the vineyard you see the Father sending His prophets to warn stubborn religious people (don't I know what that's like! :) ) that they need to bear fruit.. When those pesky religious believers kill the prophets...the Father says...I will send My Son...they will surely listen to Him. But, being pesky religious people...they kill Him too.
Jesus spoke that parable to tell us that if religious pesky people hate God's prophets then they will hate His Son too...So then the Father was trying to reach out to the husbandmen...not trying to kill His Son
I agree with whoever tells the truth. That figures, you agree with Episkopos, you like him. Thats cool. He's got one student anyways. He's does have almost everyone else (pretty knowledgable guys on this Forum) disagreeing with him!
