I would explain to him/her, that he is confused not gay. There's NO such thing as a gay child. :)

Hah! I'm sure that if Christian parents could spot some kind of variation in their child's behavior, they would be proactive about it but the reality is...most times, there is no indication of such behavior because society in general has deteriorated to a point that "Gay tendencies" could easily be masked as individuality, artistic temperament and leadership qualities.... ^_^

i think gay parents want their children to know themselves and to live their lives in the light rather than pretending to be someone they are not just so a vocal minority of people can feel comfortable. no different from straight parents

You said walk in the light. So scripture in the OT saying homosexauls must be put to death is not light? Is this a public admission by you that you don't see scripture as light and absolute truth?

No doubt all sexual sins are punishable as other ones are. But I've noticed in all instances I've come across in homosexual's a demonic spirit. This indicates a particular depraved spirit, and is exceedingly bold. In each instance I've discerned a foul/perverted spirit, even from those who have claimed deliverance from or claim themselves as Christian.

some times after every thing else has been said.. the only thing one can say to a child who is in homosexual sin ------- is that they are slaves to death and sin and they now belong to satan .. iin hopes they finaly see what they are doing and thinking is sin and that they turn from this wickedness and once again trust in Jesus forgivness for homosexual sin..


tHE PROBLEM WITH KEPT SINS IS THEY quickly become deadly to a persons soul and can DESTROY SAVING FAITH IN JESUS FORGIVNESS----- FOR THE SIN ..


God wants no one to parish .. he desires no one to end up in hell // in fact God the Son is the only one standing in the way of all people on our way to hell due to our own faults not Gods.

Walking in the light is knowing yourself for who you really are and taking steps to live in peace with that reality - which may include repentance or may not. Churches often demand that homosexuals repress who they are - this leads to mental illness and long histories of damaged relationships with others.

Of course this has nothing to do with the existence of absolute truth. Or a public admission of any sort.

The truth does not need support from you or anyone else. Why would God who is absolute truth need you to stick up for Him? When the Pharisees tried to declare absolute truth (albiet, sarcastically) by calling Jesus Good - Jesus rightfully corrected them by declaring that God alone is the standard for Good - man cannot determine good from evil without using his perspective as the standard (even when he is convinced that his point of view is actually Gods). We were created to love not judge good and evil - first time that was done was in the Garden and we have been suffering the compulsion to do so ever since.

Aspen, it has been difficult to pin your beliefs as I like a few of your posts elsewhere ;). But here .

The word of God is the the light (Psalm 119:105). Scripture tells me that unless I die to self and put the flesh in its place I will surely die (Rom 8:13). Note how your statement sounds absoltuely terrible / heretic in light of those two verses.

Unless YOU die, you will not be in the light. No 'may' or 'may nots'! Homosexuality is perhaps one of the clearest cases of the flesh being in full control.

As I have said elsewhere, if a Muslim acts like a Hindu, must he be surprised if fellow Muslims question him? If a homo-sexual doesn't want to come under fire from loving / caring / bend over backwards Christians, perhaps he shouldn't call himself a Christian?

Of course we don't need to stick up for God. We need only use our God-given brains and read His word.

Am I to be expected to embrace the gay life style, deny the precepts and righteousness of God and obey any illicit impulse that strikes me?

Where is the line in the sand?

Is it love or is it righteousness? And what is love anyway?

WHERE IS THE CROSS IN ALL THIS?

We know what righteousness is, or at least we ought to. It is that which seeks the heart of God as revealed in His Word.

Unfortunately, we are adrift in a culture that is drenched in sin and debauchery.
If we live by the dictates of the culture, the Bible says we will die in our sins.
Are we to embrace all that is wicked in the name of licentiousness and the preservation of relations with those that do?

Then Jesus said to his disciples, "Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.
- Mathew 16:24

True love embraces righteousness and reminds all who wish to follow Christ that they MUST pick up their cross and bear it.
If addiction, then the cross of denial of addiction is to be carried.
If violence or sexual aberration, then the cross of denial is to be taken up and embraced and carried.

In all of the justifications for sin that our spiritually dead culture vomits in our faces, the greatest is love - love of self and its lusts.

NOT love of God.

Those that love God will deny themselves and deny the unclean thing. This is the only way to follow Christ.
Anything less than the cross of Christ is a lie of the world, the flesh and the devil.

And no lie will ever see the Kingdom of God or eternal life in Jesus name.

No more trick questions, just a hard answer; Bear the cross you have been given in Jesus' name.
