So... why don't I just live however I want to, and then repent RIIIIIIIGHT at the end of my life?so how do you ever have assurance that you are saved?
This is basically what those who do not believe in OSAS are saying I can do. So why not?So... why don't I just live however I want to, and then repent RIIIIIIIGHT at the end of my life?
ya, so go find that one in the Bible, and when you cant, adjust :)saved from going to hell.
ha gee, i wonder what blasphemy of the holy spirit isSo... why don't I just live however I want to, and then repent RIIIIIIIGHT at the end of my life?
please explain.OSAS is certainly a license to sin.
Actually. one could say NOSAS is satanic. As it not only takes peoples focus of God and places it on self. It calls God a liar.OSAS doesn't make sense and is Satanic!
this is what the law says. Are you saying we are back under the law?Humans will always sin, so one is never saved for always, we must keep repenting and pray for forgiveness.
Where did Jesus say if we try our best not to sin, and pray for forgiveness everyday he will give us eternal life? Just askingI believe in God Jehovah, I pray everyday for forgiveness, and try my best not to sin, but am human and know that I sin.
Amen BrotherSalvation is not probation.
Eternal life is not temporary life.
Jesus is the door. He is not a revolving door.
Fear and bondage to IN-security is no way to live the Christian life.
AmenWe are to “work out” our salvation (that we already have in Christ) and not work for our salvation. This is in regards to our ongoing sanctification. For it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure. (Philippians 2:13)
Im still just as confused now as at the beginning. If OSAS isnt true, then how do you know you are saved one day from the next?? So if im saved right now, could i not be saved 10 mins from now???
If OSAS isnt true, then i feel like all of 1 john would be made into a lie. Theres no way to have assurance without OSAS. 1 john was written so that we may know we are saved and have assurance.
just cant let go of the possibility of "going to heaven, after you have died," huhIm still just as confused now as at the beginning. If OSAS isnt true, then how do you know you are saved one day from the next?? So if im saved right now, could i not be saved 10 mins from now???

Did you see to whom I was responding? Aunty Jane mistakenly believes that there will be a Paradise on earth for Christians. She does not know that Paradise is in the New Jerusalem in Heaven and will remain there. And the New Jerusalem is the eternal abode of the children of God.wait… what?? Dude what are you talking about?? I didnt mention paradise.
ah so iow you never had a question at all, right? lolIm still just as confused now as at the beginning. If OSAS isnt true, then how do you know you are saved one day from the next?? So if im saved right now, could i not be saved 10 mins from now???

Some mistaken folks think so, yes. But it's not. At all. Paul addresses and heads off that very misunderstanding in Romans 6:OSAS is certainly a license to sin.
