If atheists get accused of taking verses out of context, how do we know fundamentalists making those accusations aren’t doing the same as well?

Not believable. I paraphrased the verse without specifically citing it. Again, worse is you cannot confirm me taking the time to provide the verse WOULD definitely make a difference. So, your smokescreen has been seen through.

understand the irony of being accused of being nihilist by someone who yearns for an “afterlife,” if you will
if anything i am anti-nihilist, as i believe that the supreme meaning is probably contained in life, life, more abundantly, and a search of your paraphrase yielded meaningless returns, sorry

not saying it isnt in there somewhere as i really dont know tbh, and i really do hope you find your way forward, ok? would and could should pretty much be able to speak for themselves, i think
ok bye

The question is why should he care about human suffering when people violate his commands and get the consequences they deserve?
Because we often know not what we do?

Like when we portray Him as One who cares not about the suffering of the disobedient.

I used to think that way when I was an unbeliever. Now is a new life in Christ.

It’s not about waiting or yearning for an active life. It’s about being so grateful that one years to serve the risen lord now.

If people don't do his Will, they deserve death - plain and simple.
Wow, that's extremist zealotry right there. Hopefully in due course this will bee deemed religious hate speech (it might already be) and we can lock up people like you and make the world a safer place.

Your view is an abomination of what Jesus taught. Makes an utter mockery of Jesus's life and aims, the idea of peace and love.

Agreed he has power but that is not the question. The question is why should he care about human suffering when people violate his commands and get the consequences they deserve?
And that question was answered. You appear to want to gloss over it. According to your false doctrine god is Omnibenevolent, all-loving. That being the case he would love and care for people no matter what they did. Just as a parent still loves their child when do bad things.
Your brainwashing seems to run very deep. I suspect you are beyond help. You don't know love, you are a religious fanatic who thinks those who don't do gods will (presumably as you interpret it) deserve to die. Funny how true colours always come out in the end.

You're not serving any lord. You're serving your own ego and defaming the very concept of god you profess to believe in without even realising it. Better to say nothing than continue.

Slam dunk !

It will be ignored of course !
Fortunately for us, it's not a contest. All God's children are erring. Nobody wins. Unless we are all okay with losing. We're all broken.

The unfortunate result of social media is countless millions of people who are not bound together in community, but merely comparing ourselves one to another. And Christians are by no means exempt.

The question being not whether we are imperfect or not, but to what extent, in what manner, and what we are doing about it.

The goal is to "die daily" to selfishness. :)

Wrong, it is the truth from God's word.

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

The death that results from sin is the very reason we need a Savior. So it is an essential pillar of Christianity.

"And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission."

That being the case he would love and care for people no matter what they did.
You keep pretending to be God, dictating terms to your own Creator.

He does love and respect you. So much, he’ll let you deal with the consequences of your choices.

Nice try, no cigar

There is a VERY marked difference between "the wages of sin" leading people to death, and your extremist poster here saying "those that don't obey god's Will, deserve to die". It's hugely disappointing that you permit such religious hate speech on this platform. No-one "deserves to die".

No difference or contradiction at all. God established the natural order of sin leading to death. All have sinned, so everyone deserves to die.

You assumed a malevolent intent from Wrangler, when he could simply have been stating the cold hard facts.

Despite what we deserve, the will of the Lord is that all would come to repentance and be saved.
But for those who do not, look forward to being on the receiving end of God's wrath on the day of judgement.

You're making excuses. I doubt they will wash with other posters here
