Yes, they show at least show some mercy
But they should at least show mercy and compassion when people are at church, it's something that everyone knows...
Not all "churches" are wholesome and good.
It's like the parable Jesus spoke of to the Pharisees about having the the outside of the cup looking clean but inside is pretty filthy.
Mat 23:26
Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that
which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.
In Ezekiel chapter 8 God shows Ezekiel visions of what is happening inside His house.
Eze 8:12
Then said he unto me, Son of man, hast thou seen what the ancients of the house of Israel do in the dark, every man in the chambers of his imagery? for they say, The LORD seeth us not; the LORD hath forsaken the earth.
Eze 8:14
Then he brought me to the door of the gate of the LORD'S house which
was toward the north; and, behold, there sat women weeping for Tammuz.
Eze 8:16
And he brought me into the inner court of the LORD'S house, and, behold, at the door of the temple of the LORD, between the porch and the altar,
were about five and twenty men, with their backs toward the temple of the LORD, and their faces toward the east; and they worshipped the sun toward the east.
Eze 8:17
Then he said unto me, Hast thou seen
this, O son of man? Is it a light thing to the house of Judah that they commit the abominations which they commit here? for they have filled the land with violence, and have returned to provoke me to anger: and, lo, they put the branch to their nose.
Eze 8:18
Therefore will I also deal in fury: mine eye shall not spare, neither will I have pity: and though they cry in mine ears with a loud voice,
yet will I not hear them.
When people are at church.....
If a place is "raided" in the middle of the night, it's very easy to assume that perhaps people were planted there and the church had nothing to with it. There are no witnesses.
But if they enter in the day when people are there and they find fugitives being hidden there, then there are no excuses. They got caught in full view of the people.
Daylight is the best disinfectant. When things are brought to the light, then the healing can begin.
Jhn 3:19
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
Jhn 3:20
For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
Jhn 3:21
But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
If people are seeking assylum in schools and churches from deportation, which under the Obama and Biden administrations was considered legal but is no longer the case under the Trump administration, they should seek assylum through the propper channels.
Hiding just makes you appear more guilty.
