If a person really wants to be used by God you simply listen to Him by faith, and He is going to give you personal instructions!!!
That of course is why He is called Lord and King.
But if you believe being encourage to listen to Him, is harassment and you are baited into it, then you don't want to listen to Him.
And if you think that pointing out that telling someone that if they don't start listening to Him by faith or hell does await - do you not know the Jesus spoke of hell more than any other in the Bible. Yet even the other prophets did not hold back from pointing out the problems with not listening to Him by faith!
Deut 8:20 “Like the nations that the LORD makes to perish before you, so you shall perish; because you would not listen to the voice of the LORD your God.
Now I don't want anyone to perish, but it is only right that they should know what will happen is the will not listen to the voice of the Lord our God - who is the One we call Jesus Christ. It is not hard to hear from Him, but it might be hard to believe it is not hard to hear from Him. So we are asked to have faith in Him - that He is there to be heard from!
Rev 3: 19, 20 ‘Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline; therefore be zealous and repent.
‘Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me.
But I don't quote the verses above just to quote the Bible, but I quote them because I have round them to be true and accurate. I seek Him and I find Him and He speaks to me everyday called Today! Is that boasting? NO, it turns out that I am pretty poor and seeking Him and listening to Him, because I usually only hear from the small voice of His about a dozen different times a day, and whether you understand or not, that is poor considering that He is there all day with me. And I know I should listen to Him more!
Yet even with only listening to Him a dozen different times a day, when He is always with me, I still hear Him call me His son and tell me He loves me. He still often asks me to walk with Him, like He did this morning, and we talk. And interestingly, He was talking to me about wanting to use me more. Ha - He was using this thread and Him asking me to post on it, to set up His request to use me more.
It is not that He has not used me a lot in the past, nor that Him using me has cost me all I had, but it was that He was telling me that He was setting up something else in the not too distant future. At the beginning of the year He told me about moving me. In the middle of the year He asked me to quit the prayer ministry I had been doing for Him for the last 5 years or so, and He had me start a search for another church with my wife. He wanted her to make the decision, though I had a 'veto power' if I wanted to use it. So we have spent some time since then at three different Christian churches. She has not yet found a church that she liked, even though there was one I really like and had already gotten involved in. He has already told me two churches to check out next. One, He wants me to go to first by myself and He will talk to me about it. And the other He wants to take both of us at the same time to.
That all is irrelevant except that if you don't listen to Him, you don't know His plans and how He wants to implement them. You also won't understand how much He really cares for you, and wants your input in His plans for you. There is freedom in Jesus Christ, and that too comes from talking back and forth with Him.
If I don't like something, He can find something else which will accomplish His plans for you. So many telling you that to be used by Him you just have to make yourself available, have it only half right and they miss the most important part - that being the very personal relationship you will have with the Lord who really does love us!! He loves us so much that He gives us freewill while still being our Lord who gives us instructions, if we do listen to Him!!
If you don't, hell awaits - and you have every right to be properly informed, so you have not excuse to not listen to Him and every excuse to listen to Him!!

He is not on every page and in every verse of the Bible - He is in you if you listened to Him!!!
Or did you never read the verses in the Bible like this one:
Rom 10:8 But what does it say? “THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,
How about this one:
Deu 30:14 “But the word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart, that you may observe it.
Perhaps you should read these 2 verses and consider who it might apply to?
Jn 5:39,40 You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me;
and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life.
Or maybe this will give you some insight?
1 Cor 3:16 Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
Or why do you think Isaiah wrote this verse:
Is 30:21 Your ears will hear a word behind you, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right or to the left.
Oh, but you only think the "NT is from God, right? So what about this verse?
Gal 3:22 But the Scripture has shut up everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
The very first words I hear Him tell me were, "READ YOUR BIBLE", BUT HE WAS THE ONE TELLING ME TO READ THE BIBLE AND SO WAS NOT THE BIBLE!!
The Bible (Scriptures) was written by men who heard from Him - but that was there hearing from Him and not you hearing from Him. They knew Him, but do you? The Bible is able to give you the wisdom to find salvation, but salvation is through Him and not your Bible!! And is being able to give you the wisdom find salvation through Him, that does not mean it did give you the wisdom to find salvation through Him, but only that it is able to!! So open up to Him and listen to Him - which is what those who wrote the Bible were trying to tell you!! But they also wrote that many don't listen to Him!
2 Tim 3:15 and that from childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
So again we read "are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.", but that does not mean you got the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith in Jesus Christ! Did you not also read that faith comes from hearing a word from Him?
Rom 10:17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
So I started truly believing in Him when He personally told me "READ YOUR BIBLE"!
But you reading what He told me, is not your hearing from Him! And neither is you reading what Paul, Moses, or John heard from Him personally. And they all wrote to tell you that the Word of God (He) was near you to be heard from!! But did you believe, open up to Him, and actually seek and hear what He had to personally say to you? If so why did you think their writings are Him speaking to you? Do you not heard Him talk to you about those writings and even every part of your life?
So what about this NT verse:
Rom 11:8 Just as it is written,
“GOD GAVE THEM A SPIRIT OF STUPOR,
EYES TO SEE NOT AND EARS TO HEAR NOT,
DOWN TO THIS VERY DAY.”
If indeed anyone wants God to use them they just have to listen to Him!! And if they don't listen to Him then no matter what they are telling you they don't really want God to use them, they just want to say they want God to use them. It makes them sound like a good person. But the fact is that only God is good!! If you really listened to Him, you would find that out too!
If you listen, because He is LORD OF LORDS AND KING OF KINDS, you will get instructions from Him. Then you will have to decide whether you really want to do what He tells you or not. And let me tell you truly, you are probably not going to want to do what He tells you, even if it is a simple thing to do. But if you believe it is Him, you are also probably going to make some effort to do it, and as He continues to talk to you, it will give you the faith to proceed even when you can see their is going to be a price to pay, because this world hates Him.
Yeah, they pretend obedience, but that is just pretense and it will not help them.
Ps 81:15 “Those who hate the LORD would pretend obedience to Him,
And their time of punishment would be forever.
Yet if even a non-believer actually hears from Him, they will do what He says and acquire faith from hearing Him!
2 Sam 22:45 “Foreigners pretend obedience to me;
As soon as they hear, they obey me.
That is what happened with me. When He told me "READ YOUR BIBLE", I never read it nor went to church. That Bible was something my mom had given me about 15 years earlier, and should have been buried in a box in the back of closest or the garage. Yet when He told me, 'READ YOUR BIBLE', He also gave me a vision of my Bible sitting behind my time clock. So I turned to look, after I recovered from the impact of His voice, and it was sitting behind my time clock. How did He got it there I do not know, but there is was. So I read it. It took me 8 months reading some everyday, but I read it, even though it was what I wanted.
And it gave me the wisdom to seek Him and try listening to Him, and He was there to be heard from. So we talked. Everyday now we talk. Even when I get upset with Him, we talk. When things are not going like I want, we talk. And I can tell you many interesting things He told me. I can tell you thousands of testimonies of the things I have seen Him do around me. And He often tells me, "Karl, I love you", which is hard to believe because I am just me, and not some holier than thou person. But I want people to listen to Him, because He is incredible.
And since He has asked me to preach the Word of God, "but not as it is so often preached today". He asked me to preach Him as the Word of God! And so He is: And He is the Word of God because He will talk to you. So He will give you wisdom. He will do miracles around you. He will give you wonderful counsel. He will teach you. And concerning this thread, He will give you instructions!! So don't tell me that you want to be used by Him, tell me you want to listen to Him!! All the rest comes from that, and never will you lack for instructions from Him, is you listen to Him.
Indeed, consider this verse, It is one of my personal favorites because it come closer to what it is like when you actually know Him:
Jer 20:9 But if I say, “I will not remember Him
Or speak anymore in His name,”
Then in my heart it becomes like a burning fire
Shut up in my bones;
And I am weary of holding it in,
And I cannot endure it.
Jerimiah listen to the Lord, and was sent to "Jerusalem and the houses of the kings of Judah" and do and say what the Lord told Him. Were they grateful? No - "Pashhur had Jeremiah the prophet beaten and put him in the stocks that were at the upper Benjamin Gate, which was by the house of the LORD. (Jer 20:2)
So after the task he was asked to do and after what the people did to him he wrote:
Jer 20:7 O LORD, You have deceived me and I was deceived;
You have overcome me and prevailed.
I have become a laughingstock all day long;
Everyone mocks me.
It can and will feel that way after doing what He asks, because people are still people. But then what are you to do. Can you not listen to Him, even if you try, after you have come to know Him. No, that fire and zeal for Him still burns in you. And you cannot hold it inside. So again you bring the message He asks, and in a nut shell the message is this:
Mark 9:7 Then a cloud formed, overshadowing them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is My beloved Son, listen to Him!”
And yet these verse still applies:
Jer 7:26,27 “Yet they did not listen to Me or incline their ear, but stiffened their neck; they did more evil than their fathers.
“You shall speak all these words to them, but they will not listen to you; and you shall call to them, but they will not answer you.
And what came after that?
Jer 7:28 “You shall say to them, ‘This is the nation that did not obey the voice of the LORD their God or accept correction; truth has perished and has been cut off from their mouth.
So what is happening to this nation (the good old US of A)? And why? There is a promise:
1 Sam 12:14 “If you will fear the LORD and serve Him, and listen to His voice and not rebel against the command of the LORD, then both you and also the king who reigns over you will follow the LORD your God.
So who do we have for a President, and who are we going to get? Did we listen and did we teach our children as commanded by Moses?
Deut 6: 4-7“Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD is one!
“You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
“These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart.
“You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up.
If we indeed taught our sons and daughter to Hear Him as in "listen to His voice" then where did this woke movement come from? Why do we read things like: "the percentage of Christians has fallen to a historic low." (Gallup survey).
If you want to be used by God listen to Him Today:
Heb 3:7 Therefore, just as the Holy Spirit says,
“TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE,
- and encourage others to also!
Heb 3:13 But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called “Today,” so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.

You spend too much time listening to voices that you believe are telling you what to do next.
So, my advice to you, is to get a bible, open it to the new Testament, and as you read the verses, you are hearing God's Voice.
Do that instead of trying to listen to voices, inside yourself, or inside your head that might be a demon.
The "Scriptures" ... the NT.... is God's voice.
Listen to it., study it, and let this be your light....vs, random voices inside your head or "well i have this feeling that i should "".
The Holy Spirit is not a feeling.
The clearest voice of God is going to be the Scriptures, as the Holy Spirit, reveals them...
"well what if im in a crisis, and i need to get an answer"
= The Holy Spirit reveals what you need to know, and He does this most of all, when you are using the NT....studying it.
"you mean God would want me to open a BIBLE, when my life is a MESS, and i need an ANSWER, when id rather be on the Forum all day arguing my opinions"..... !!!! ?? !!!
Reader, that's why life gets in a mess.. its because your Bible is "over there, somewhere".....for way too long, when it could have been training you spiritually so that you didnt get into that life crisis.

The Holy Spirit is not a feeling, He is the Spirit of God. And He speaks words to us, but not His own words! He does not speak on His own initiative but as He hears He speaks, and so He take the words He speaks from Jesus Christ, who owns the words of God, because His Father gave them to Him. And the Holy spirit brings His words to our spirit!! That is how those like Moses heard from God!
And Jesus Himself, when in the flesh, made a clear difference between Moses writings and Jesus' words!! And the Scriptures prove all I just explain and prove Behold wrong!!!
So let's actually go over the Scriptures that show all this!!
Jn 6:63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.
The above prove it is the Spirit and not the Scriptures, that give life to us. It also proves the words the Spirit speak are Jesus's words, because Jesus say 'the words I have spoke to you', so He did the speaking through the Holy Spirit! And another place in the Scriptures that proves this is:
Jn 16:13-15 “But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come. “He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you. “All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you.
Again in the above verses we find that Spirit speaks, but not on His own initiative, but what He hears He speak to us, and He takes what He speaks from Jesus Christ, and in that way the Holy Spirit glorifies Jesus Christ. And we also find that Jesus was given those words of God by His Father, so He owns them. If someone gives you something, you then own it - and so it is that the Father gives the words of God to His Son, Jesus Christ, so He owns the words of God, which the Holy Spirit takes from HIm and give you our spirit!!
And in John 5 we see that reading the Scriptures are not hearing from Him, and that Moses's words and writings are not the same as hearing from Him!!
Jn 5: 37-41 “And the Father who sent Me, He has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time nor seen His form.
“You do not have His word abiding in you, for you do not believe Him whom He sent.
You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me;
and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life.
“I do not receive glory from men;"
Jesus spoke to a group of men, Jews, who had the Scriptures and searched through them. But that group had "neither heard His voice at any time nor seen His form", and they "do not believe Him whom He sent:" which is Jesus Christ. So while they studied the Scriptures, that study was not coming to Him!! He does not receive glory from men, and Moses along with the other writers of the Scriptures were men!!
And this is brought out further in the same chapter!
Jn 5:45-47 “Do not think that I will accuse you before the Father; the one who accuses you is Moses, in whom you have set your hope.
“For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me.
“But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”
So Jesus makes a clear distinction between His words and Moses' writings!! But Jesus does ask the question as to how are you going to believe His words since you don't believe what Moses wrote?
Moses wrote so that people would seek Jesus Christ and His words, even explaining that the word of God found near you, in your mouth and heart - so not in a book or even his own writings!! That is because the Word of God is a person, Jesus Christ, who is alive and active!! Because Jesus Christ is a person, you can talk back and forth with Him. You can ask Him about what to get at the store and get and answer, or you can ask Him about your relationship, or even about the writings of Moses and others who heard from Him, but only if you believe He is there to be heard from via His Holy Spirit!! And that does not have anything to do with feelings.
So it is He talks to me, in words that I pick up with my spirit, so I always find His words near me, even in my heart and sometime in mouth , when I don't pay close attention.
And this teaching comes from Him, and proven by the Bible and what those heard from Him also wrote!! The Scriptures are a testimony to Him, but you don't believe them, or you would seek Him, who is the Word of God we preach and is always nears us - no matter where your Bible is! Of have you not even read:
Rom 10: 4 - 8 For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. For Moses writes that the man who practices the righteousness which is based on law shall live by that righteousness.
But the righteousness based on faith speaks as follows: “DO NOT SAY IN YOUR HEART, ‘WHO WILL ASCEND INTO HEAVEN?’ (that is, to bring Christ down),
or ‘WHO WILL DESCEND INTO THE ABYSS?’ (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).”
But what does it say? “THE WORD IS NEAR YOU, IN YOUR MOUTH AND IN YOUR HEART”—that is, the word of faith which we are preaching,

And while they won't listen to me, because they won't listen to Him; He still has asked me to do a similar thing - which is trying to get them who should listen to Him but won't to listen to Him!!
That is because He loves them and cares about them, but still if they don't come to believe in Him, but think their reading the Scriptures is going to save them, they will still perish like the nations before them, because they did not listen to Him.
Deaut 8:20 “Like the nations that the LORD makes to perish before you, so you shall perish; because you would not listen to the voice of the LORD your God.
They have a right to be told, and so they have been over and over and over and over, and it is all written in their Bible. So they have not excuse!
God speaks with the Bible, and you should go there and hear that "voice".
He'll also speak to you using a Teacher, and you have to learn how to hear a real one.
You are chasing voices, and that is not a safe place to be.......and that is because the Devil counterfeits spiritual gifts and "inner voices".
He'll even counterfeit your own voice inside your own head.
So, just remember that the Bible, especially the NT< and the Epistle's of Paul are the "voice" you need to follow.
The word of God is a lamp, its a light, its REVELATION.

God speak to us via His Holy Spirit!! But some do not believe and so hear the Holy Spirit with faith!

This is the only thing I want to find out from you: did you receive the Spirit by the works of the Law, or by hearing with faith?
You would think anyone who actually read the bible and believe God provided it to us by having it written by those who heard from Him in the past, would actually believe what they wrote, but clearly they don't if they don't hear from the Holy Spirit, who does not speak on His own but takes the words of God which have all been given to Jesus Christ by His Father...
But they don't hear His words, and instead they search the Scriptures thinking in them they have life, as opposed to seeking Jesus Christ and His words that come through the Holy Spirit!! Clearly those pretending obedience do not actually know the Teacher, who is Jesus Christ!
Of course this has been gone over and over right here on this forum, so they have not excuse!! What is written will serve to condemn them for their disbelief in Jesus Christ! They are shut up under sin because of their disbelief in Jesus Christ.
Gal 3:22 But the Scripture has shut up everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.
Jn 5: 38 - 40 “You do not have His word abiding in you, for you do not believe Him whom He sent.
You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me;
and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life.
Jn 5: 44-47“How can you believe, when you receive glory from one another and you do not seek the glory that is from the one and only God?

“But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”
There are way too many "Christian" which all the above apply to! It is why He personally asks me to preach the Word of God, mean Him and He speaks to us personally, on this Christian forum.
Mt 7:22 -24“Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’

I know that many don't want to be told to seek Jesus Christ and listen to Him, but that is the message. The word of God is Jesus Christ! That is His name! He is alive and active!! And so we don't say in our heart that He is either dead or in a far-off place, because He is near us. He said He would never leave us and provide us with His Holy Spirit! And the un-believe, not matter what they think or write, is going to wind up in hell if they don't repent of their ways and start listening to Him!! That is what the Bible explains to us! The Scriptures are able to give you the wisdom to find salvation with is through Jesus Christ, - so then it is not through the Scriptures as per the Scriptures!!

With the above Scriptures proving that the Bible is not what saves you, and is not the Lord speaking to you, and proves that we must hear from the Holy Spirit by faith, it should be noted that it is also written that 'they' (the unbeliever) don't hear. And since people are born with physical ears with which they hear, it obviously refers to hearing with our spiritual ears. And we seek that in the above post with:

The fact is that if a person seeks Jesus Christ (who is known to be the bread from heaven and who symbol with early Christians was a fish) they will find Him! But the non-believer will not seek Him, ask for Him, and so will not find Him. Because of their fear of the devil, who they have been listening to, they will not seek Jesus Christ so will never find Him unless they repent of their ways!
This is what happen with the Pharisees and Jews, as recorded in the Scriptures, and it still happens with the religious person today!
What you stated shows an absolute lack of understanding of the Spirit of God.
No wonder all you can do is listen to strange voices in your head, and believe thats God.

Paul tells us to study the word, because the word of God is Light and a Lamp.
Its food for the Soul, its direction for the seeking, and its above all, the BIBLE.. the word of GOD.... is a direct link to God Himself.
An unbeliever can pick up a bible and God will speak to their spirit, to their mind, and to their heart, using the words in the Bible.
God has led millions of unbelievers to Salvation, by speaking to them through the bible.
You stated you are ignorant of this understanding, and i BELIEVE YOU, as what you post is strange, and sounds kinda crazy, actually.

"Gift", are "without Repentance"... and that means God will never call it back, or end it........it is ETERNAL.
And Notice that "Salvation is a GIFT".. so, if you meet someone who is theologically numb, and is "Stuck on OSAS".. .and can't seem to be able to accept God's Grace, and wants to try to make you believe you can "lose your salvation" then just show them that Salvation is a ""GIFT"" = from God, and the "Gifts and Callings of God, are without repentance".
That literally means your Salvation can never end, and your call to a ministry, is never ending.
So, here is the thing about ministry......being a minister.... a called Minister.......Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, Pastor, Teacher..

Do the small things, with all your heart.
Do the hard things, and get no credit.
Do it all because you love God, and the rest does not matter and God will see this, and God will manifest for you........ on your behalf.
Just dont quit.
Be determined to finish what you start, and dont worry about end results, as your job is the work, doing the work, and God's part is to land the results.
