God will answer our questions on His word. For instance, I could never understand why teachers called the life-long period of maturing in Jesus, "sanctification." It seemed to me regarding that word to always be past-tense, just like justification. Like this:
1 Corinthians 6:11 "But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God."
So I asked God, I believe that we go through a period of maturing in You for as long as we live, but I see that calling it sanctification is incorrect, so what do You call it. Immediately He answered and said, "Glorification." And then I danced around the house. I always do that when He honors me with hearing His voice, even though it is just a thought interrupting my own thoughts. But then I saw the evidence all over scripture. What the church believes in error is that it is our body that becomes glorified. Wrong. We are glorified now as we who walk in the Spirit are being conformed to the image of God. In Romans 8 "sanctification" is not even mentioned.
Romans 8:29-30
29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. 30 Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.
2 Corinthians 3:18 "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord."
