You are not rightly dividing the parable about Lazarus and the rich man and the point it was making. It wasn't a message about the unsaved being in heaven.
The parable of Lazarus and the rich man makes me think of saying a little prayer and saying you have accepted salvation into your heart. What I mean is almost every one thinks they are on the side of the rich man. Similar the the rapture doctrine. One where if you have set under this doctrine, all most always you see yourself definitely as one selected that will be included in being rapture out. I can relate because growing up hearing about an elite group that God will rapture…I had my hand up saying “that is me. I’m one of them.” When I did not know or care about God at all. All I cared about was being included. “Sign me up.”

Now. The parable of the rich man and Lazarus is not about which side you think you are on so you can point across the way at those “filthy” on the other side…but instead of the parable being about Lazarus or the rich man…to me it is about Him who stood in the breech,; Him who laid down His body. Him who tore down the partition between.

What do you believe the partition was?

The inner man…is totally “buried” like the talent. In the parable. That helps. Thank you. I’ve never looked at this way.

To me this is good news because of “I will give unto you treasures of darkness, and the hidden riches of secret places”. Which sounds like truly what it means to inherit “the incorruptible” “the inner man” as He went further to say it is the hidden man of the heart which is precious in the Sight of God. I don’t see how that can be danced around and called fallacy, unless the interest lies in the outer darkness of the outer man. Which is not the treasure but instead gods the treasure that is precious in the Sight of God.

That talent “buried” in the parable. To me this is the true meaning of what it means to “raise the dead” unto “Life”. Not the outer religious man but the “hidden” man of the heart which is precious in the Sight of God. To me that doesn’t say ‘darkness’ and ‘hidden’ is the treasure or ‘secret places’ is the riches …but God is after the inner man. To me that is so hopeful. With corruption does not inherit the incorruptible. For example …in the NT where the man comes in and falls on his face and worships God. Isn’t his pouring out praise unto God the treasure and a giving up of things (kept or imprisoned) hidden in darkness; the riches of secret places.
What most believers don't realize is that we are all in a race of faith. In a race are both winners and losers. Out of the SAME LUMP are vessels of both honour AND dishonour. We see the dishonourable in full bloom here.

Most have been taught to revel in being "saved". So MUCH emphasis is put on the free sample of initial grace that any mention of the higher standard of holiness that people who are born of the Spirit are called into...and will judged against....is met with every manner of gnashing, and ranting, and ego-boosting. Basically SO many are enemies of the cross. They want to preserve their sample by burying it, protecting it, attacking all who challenge them to go to God. They want to preserve their "saved" lives rather than becoming a living sacrifice to God.

I am very grieved at the unbelief in the modern church. It is very sad that any mention of holiness in the higher walk is seen as "demonic" or "New Age"...such is the ignorance of anything beyond their own carnal lives. It reflects their own spiritual state. But God is not mocked. Just as the Israelites were rejected because of unbelief...likewise so many who are called "believers" today will likewise be cast away.

Jesus Christ is both the author AND finisher of our faith. To get the full measure of grace we need to seek God's face at the throne of grace...with the boldness of faith in the inner man.

Don't be afraid of the faces of these hardened outer man religious posturers. These love their lives unto death. What a contrast to the saints who love NOT their lives unto death...instead they repent and surrender to have their outer man dealt with at the cross...in order to bear an everlasting fruit that is pleasing to God.

Embrace humility, and the fear of the Lord...and have faith in God from the inner man.

Peace

Isaiah 58:9 Then shall you call, and the Lord will answer; you will cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If you take away (remove, cast off, cast away, put off) from the midst of you the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity;
Galatians 5:1-3 KJV
[1] Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. [2] Behold, I Paul say unto you, that if ye be circumcised, Christ shall profit you nothing. [3] For I testify again to every man that is circumcised, that he is a debtor to do the whole law.

Too me it’s very clear what their yoke was?

Amen. That yoke of bondage is the outer man. We are to carry our own cross (the outer man)...NOT having confidence in the flesh or carnal reasoning (as so many do here). ...until we are crucified DEAD in the outer man to walk then with a newfound freedom in the Spirit being empowered in the inner man by resurrection life from Jesus.

But this is not correct. The inner man was dead. it is now made alive.

That's what being born again means..

the outer man was crucified with Christ. It is dead. Thats why we are to reckon ourselves dead to sin.

Paul made that clear in Romans 6

the yoke was the law..they tried to get to God by being good. trying to obey the law

They could not do it. No one can.

Jesus told them too take on his yoke, that it wasn’t burdensome.

“stop the putting forth of the finger and speaking vanity”

There is no way to stop the putting forth of the finger and speaking vanity…unless our own images is put off, cast away, removed… to me I do not see how it is possible to stop the putting forth of the finger and speaking vanity as long as we keep even a speck of our own image. But that is just me, that is how I read it. I’m very familiar with it too because it is in me. To finger point and speak vanity. A jab jab jab of my finger in others direction “look see” “look see” …will I ever be free from “let me tell you how to do it. I know best.” Oh my micro managing and worries and anxiety over “no it has to be done my way.” I wish some one would help me by saying “go rest”. Some one did…our granddaughter. “Mimi, you need to go take a rest”!

More false teaching from Roman’s 9. There are no vessels for dishonorable use who are believers . Those are unbelievers . You make a mockery out of Romans 9. And nowhere in Scripture is faith called a race. You are once again twisting scripture to fit into your false teachings .

Romans 9
One of you will say to me: “Then why does God still blame us? For who is able to resist his will?” 20 But who are you, a human being, to talk back to God? “Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, ‘Why did you make me like this?’” 21 Does not the potter have the right to make out of the same lump of clay some pottery for special purposes and some for common use?

22 What if God, although choosing to show his wrath and make his power known, bore with great patience the objects of his wrath—prepared for destruction? 23 What if he did this to make the riches of his glory known to the objects of his mercy, whom he prepared in advance for glory

The yoke of Christ is to bear His reproach...to be hated by carnally religious "saved" people because you are holding out the truth which is a call to faith. But that yoke is made easy in that we know that if we suffer the reproach of Christ...then we will also be rewarded by Him personally. So I count all the insults and lies that are cast at me as a good thing....for me. For them it is proof of a future condemnation. Unless these repent, they will be spit out as readily as we see among the Laodicians. Actually, this generation IS the church of Laodicea....the puffed up religious church of the last days.

Blessings John. "The free sample of initial grace" There is that word "sample" "Sample" is what you give of your music in hopes it will sell. The Holy Spirit is not a "sample". "Behold I stand at the door and knock, if anyone hears My voice and opens the door I will come into him and sup with him" "An everlasting fruit that is pleasing to God" Do you really think your fruit is pleasing to The Lord?
