Well, I believed that the law was given by Moses.

But Grace and truth came by Jesus?
Yes

The law was given as a schoolmaster to lead us to christ.

1. It showed us all we were sinners

Romans 3:20, 23
Therefore by the deeds of the law no flesh will be justified in His sight, for by the law is the knowledge of sin. ; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

2. It showed us the requirement - Perfection..

Deuteronomy 27:26
‘Cursed is the one who does not confirm all the words of this law by observing them.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’ ”

Galatians 3:10

Fr as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.”

James 2:10
For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.

3. It showed us the result of not keeping what was required

Deuteronomy 27:26
Cursed is the one who does not confirm all the words of this law by observing them.’ “And all the people shall say, ‘Amen!’ ”

Galatians 3:10

Fr as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.”

4: It should us the solution

Galatians 3: 13-14:
13 Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”), 14 that the blessing of Abraham might come upon the Gentiles in Christ Jesus, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.

Romans 3: 24-25
24 being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25 whom God set forth as a propitiation by His blood, through faith

if we are not justified. If we are not redeemed, If Gods propitiation through the death of Christ is not applied to us. We are still dead in our sin.. and we are without hope..

Without get off topic just one question, where in Old Testament scripture is Satan asking for the body of Moses?
Its not mentioned in the OT and only Jude mentions it briefly in 1:9. So its nothing to make any big deal about imho. It happened and God did not think it was necessary to elaborate on this elsewhere for reasons we do not know. So for us it will remain a "mystery" as to the why's, how's, where's, what's regarding the body of Moses.

hope this helps !!!

Do you see yourself as having at some time practiced the law of Moses?
