Sins of the flesh. Is that an oxymoron?
Sins of the flesh?
Sins of the mind?
Sins of the heart?
Sins of the soul?
Which sins would drive a person to think that they could not control themselves?
My hands! my hands! I cannot stop them! They have a mind of their own!
The carnal man and his sins....oh excuse me carnal person. Surely there is law against it. Put that man in cuffs!
1st Corinthians 2:14 The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.
1st Corinthians 3:1-3 But I, brothers, could not address you as spiritual people, but as people of the flesh, as infants in Christ. I fed you with milk, not solid food, for you were not ready for it. And even now you are not yet ready, for you are still of the flesh. For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving only in a human way?
Galatians 5:17 For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.

2nd Samuel 12:8 I gave your master’s house to you, and your master’s wives into your arms. I gave you all Israel and Judah. And if all this had been too little, I would have given you even more.
Sins of the flesh? What is it? Is it this that drives a person to think they have no hope of being good?
That they give up trying to be good?
Is it this that influences them to come up with beliefs that no one could go to heaven unless all manner of sin and evil was allowed into heaven?
Is it this that motivates such an uproar when I say...be good and do good?
Does the Bible setup a paradox that so confuses the mind on this topic?
There has to be some real misunderstandings that would turn Christians against trying to be good.
Even to the point that some consider it anti-faith to even try to be good.
So what do you think? What is the motive of what is discussed here?
