Why do some think it is their job to go around telling everyone else what they are doing wrong? Clubbing people over the head with the word! Jesus won't break a bruised reed or snuff out a smoldering wick. Which is one reason why I love Him so!

This truly could be so much easier if folks would go to the actual source who inspired the bible and into the bible to learn that truth .
When it comes to anything our pattern ought to mirror that pattern . For corrections , for warnings , for hope , for promises .
The problem is many are being programmed by men of today who have long been teaching things from their own intellectual carnal mind .
IF we take off from doing anything that was originally taught then expect failure and leaven to rise up and fill the place .
We should honestly look at the requirements that paul wrote to a few churches , about how any leader ought to be
as well as the flock itself . I notice the requirements happen to include being grave , serious , correcting error .
How many teachers today have one grave bone in their body . Most just teach a sensual mindset that has ceased
from the original pattern that was taught first by JESUS and then later by the apostels . They have abandoned
the very pattern that Christ set and later the apostels set . IF we take off from that pattern we reap destruction
unto ourselves and unto all who would do so . Most folks can agree that JESUS was the WORD of GOD in flesh .
But they sure dont treat Him as though His every WORD is of GOD . Many can say they agree with paul and other apostels ,
Yet often contradict those who simply bring THEIR reminders . This is not a good thing at all .
It would be so much simplier and confusion would fly away , IF WE would return to bible reading for ourselves and learn that pattern well .

It's the hat of imaginary 'safety' for those who think if you don't confess every single sin... you will go to hell... BB uses the term a lot.

CLING TO CHRIST . Yep . LOVING EVERY WORD HE EVER Taught . Let all that has breath praise the LORD .
I imagine for some people this is an intellectual exercise, but for others, it is hard won knowledge.

The problem with this concept as with all OSAS concepts is that it is not true. If we are born again...is an erroneous statement. There is no gauge...no meter...not pop up timer! We can tell a little bit by behavior, but unbelievers can be good too and homosexuals can believe in Christ....it is not in our paygrade to judge them as non-Christians...judge the sin, not the sinners, but because they are Christians that does not mean they are going to heaven.
Christians can be cranky and unfriendly and they can sin and live sinful lifestyles. That does not change the fact that they truly believe. Some people call it losing their salvation, but this too is erroneous. And people do not get kicked out of Christianity...You can kick them out of a church...you can excommunicate them. But they will arrive on Judgement Day as Christians, and as Christian they will be judged and if they have lived a lifestyle of sin...for example drug users or LBGTQ, they will be Christians burning in hell.
Then again...it is all up to Christ. We cannot take all things into consideration nor know all the elements that will be placed on that judgment scale that would tip it to heaven or hell.
The bottom line again...believing in Christ is not a license to sin.
If it was that all Christians went to heaven and all non-believers went to hell...there would be no need for Judgment Day.
Heaven will not be full of evil....Christian or not.

Judge the sin, not the sinner. Those that live sinful life styles are going to take offense to the Word of God. Which is exactly what the Bible tells us to do. And so the OSAS people will exclaim! Don't you dare read the Word of God to me! It is like showing a cross to a vampire. I put OSAS beliefs in motion...I take it home...put it in the real...it is like dragging a vampire out in the sunlight.....

Oddly when you post... I usually feel condemned.
This is true of every Christian. This is the 'renewing of the mind'. And sometimes you look more like what is inside, and sometimes not. And if someone judges on appearances their judgment is not valid.
