I have come to the conclusion that this forum is a training camp.....boot camp, per se, for Christians to be challenged to see just how well they really do know the Bible....especially when posts like this surface.....assuming we are all reading from the same Bible (maybe different translations) but still the same content then those who are spiritually minded will understand the truth of His Word.....the carnal minded will read it and take it literally and logically through their own understanding and try to teach it to others. Lord I pray for a refreshing of my spiritual understanding of your Word as you intended it to mean, thank you! :)

People tend to read themselves into the text...watch a persons' behaviour...then listen to their doctrine.

It is like ....What does your doctrine do to you?

If it causes you to judge others and condemn others ....you need new teaching.

Those in hell literally will experience eternity with a small tormenting spiritual creature (a worm or something similar) in or on them while suffering in a lake of fire. And it will be worse for some than others. This is accurate.

No I am a Biblicist, and I do not apologize for that in the least.

The doctrine of eternal Hell -- the Lake of Fire -- is clearly stated in Scripture, but since we are living in apostate times, more and more churches and preachers are attacking this doctrine and denying the reality of Hell. The cults had already rejected this doctrine, along with that of the deity of Christ and the Holy Trinity. They will all give account for misleading people.

Every sinner needs to clearly understand that the very reason for the finished work of Christ and His commandment to preach the Gospel to EVERY CREATURE is the existence of Hell -- created for the devil and his angels, but reserved also for all those who fail to believe and obey the Gospel.

Now please NOTE CAREFULLY the departing words of the Lord Jesus Christ, recorded by divine inspiration within an authentic portion of Scripture (Mark 16:15,16):

What is this "eternal misery"? Charles Haddon Spurgeon, one of the most well-known preachers in the world, explained it thus:

Hell will be the place for bodies as well as for souls.

You have seen the asbestos lying in the fire red hot, but when you take it out it is unconsumed. So your body will be prepared by God in such a way that it will burn forever without being consumed. It will lie, not as you consider, in a 'metaphorical' fire, but in actual flame. Did our Savior mean fictions when he said he would cast body and soul into hell?

Fictions, sir? Again, I say, they are no fictions, and as God lives, but solid, stern truth. If God is true, and this Bible is true, what I have said is the truth, and you will find it one day to be so.

2. The Bible clearly and extremely succinctly declares that the soul that sinneth, it shall die. No evidence for the natural eternal condition of the soul can be found in these words. Not in any other either.

Couple the above irrefutable statements regarding mortal man, and the gift of life promised only to the righteous, with the many and varied statements declaring the destiny of the wicked described as death... Perish... Destruction... Burnt up...etc, the only conclusion an honest Bible student can come to is that the scriptures are in fact abundantly clear on this topic, and the fact that there is any debate at all is because of the preconceived opinions built on dark age mentality devised in the pits of hell to destroy the character of a merciful gracious God and portray Him as a tyrant of even darker and more evil nature than the worst of human despots and dictators. We rightly condemn the dictator who punishes his detractors with undue pain and suffering, then for just a few moments, and then glorify a god who does the same forever.

I did. I wanted confirmation to the question whether or not you believe the penalty for unforgiven sin is eternal life in torment. Apparently you do believe that the price to be paid is eternal torment. So one more question:

Why do you teach that Christ is still in hell and did not raise from the dead?

You misappropriated Scripture in order to substantiate a false doctrine.

Death is the cessation of life, not a continuation of it.

Once you get that straight, then Eternal Torment becomes merely the flawed pagan logical extension of Satan's false idea of death which he presented as the first lie recorded in the Scripture ("...thou shalt not surely die.") that was dragged from paganism into Christianity by the Roman catholic church. God says "the soul that sinneth, it shall die". You seem to believe Satan's lie over God's truth.

The Scripture uses the TERM "DESTROY", in application To an UN-Saved soul, AND a Body that Shall Not Become Glorified.

Men "Tweak" the TERM destroy Destroy and say, Annhilate and Obliterate.

Everything God Created in the Beginning STILL EXISTS.

In short; NOTHING God has created becomes Non-Existent!

Gods creations are in the simplest Terms "matter".

Make bricks, assemble them into a building, implode the building....it becomes destroyed;
The materials / matter (bricks) do not Disappear....They become unrecognizable in Building Form...

It is called DESTROYED, Because it is BEYOND REPAIR, FIXING, ADDING ANY IMPROVEMENT To it.

The rubble, (bricks) again BECOME sand and dust of the earth....and the Form (building) that WAS made becomes no longer Visible to See, and Forgotten. And BE the Building a Church, having had the Word of God spoken, bells ringing, music and praises and worshiping unto the Lord...Will Cease....
So ALSO, WILL CEASE....IS Gods Light Reflection and Presence with THAT which has Become Destroyed and Forgotten.

God created human Bodily Forms from Dust of the Earth He created And Made Souls.

God provided EACH with Life.
1) Blood Life for the Body, that the Body and Blood...IS sentenced TO DIE.
2) His Breath Life for the Soul, ( that both His Breath Life and ALL Souls Belong TO HIM).

Once A Soul with God Breath enters a Body of man, the mans bodily Life (Blood) is quickened, and the Whole Body becomes its own individual Living Kind of THING, called a Terrestrial thing, an Earthly man, a Human Kind of Man.

All bodies Shall Die.
Living souls with Gods Breath shall continue Living In Living Bodies or Continue Living Outside of Bodies that Have Ceased Living...

The THE Day of THE Lord.
