If this is another thread going to be all about tattoos again I'm outta here.It mentions jewelry; and others have mentioned tattoos as well as myself.
It's what men do, often.Dave has 6 tattoo's...he he preached for decades.
It's what women do, often.I guess for girls though or anyone really, it is sad to se them marking their bodies up.
It's what men and women do, often. :)Even the children of Israel male and female...had earring..no problem there.
I actually agree; the emphasis should be on the inward and spiritual, without distractions.I don't think that jewelry is something that a pastor should buy or have much of. James says that those adorned in much jewelry will burn the flesh of the wearers as a Testament against them.
Disturbing, yes...
There seems to be more of these types now then ever. I wonder why? itching ears? the falling away?Disturbing, yes...
And tattoos should never have come up in the first place. They are TABOO.If this is another thread going to be all about tattoos again I'm outta here.
It's already been discussed to death. No offense.

But the babies were not born with holes in their ears either , so that is just as unnatural - oh no you don't approve of my tattoo - pity, I love it. I obviously sit on the other side of the fence ! LolAmen.
I like your other post too. God knows who we are 24/7..so why on earth would we act or dress differently on a Sunday!!

I guess for girls though or anyone really, it is sad to se them marking their bodies up. If God wanted us with ink markings , he's have made us that way..He didn't.
I picture a baby being born with inking on her...No, God is not in favour at all.
Even the children of Israel male and female...had earring..no problem there.
@farouk must have done the dance of joy when he saw this thread...its one of his pet subjects![]()
You see all these churches where their leaders have fancy titles, etc.
They spend fortunes fancy clothes, jewelry, staffs and more.
Do you think that is biblical?
My opinion is not. It is ego, power and greed at work.
What do you think?

You could say "obscene". They bring shame to the name of Christ and Christianity.I don't agree with these pastors who own mansions and private jets - that's excessive.
The OP mentioned jewelry.Oh no!
I don't "like" tattoo's at all, by choice. But Dave has six, my granddaughter has 7 large ones and a small one on her foot. I don't "like" them, but each person is free before the Lord, not answerable to me! It does not condemn anyone. :)
Earrings I wear myself. I think pretty much all the children of Israel mae and females wore gold earrings.
I have blocked the person who started this thread...so I have no idea if posting about Inking and earring is "on topic" because I have no opening post!!
( one disadvantage of blocking)
So do you and your son ever discuss your tattoo design preferences that you each have?My son has 'Only God can judge me.' tattooed up his arm.
In Ezekiel 16.12, the Lord Himself gives earrings - and even a nose ring - to Zion, figuratively. But the babies were not born with holes in their ears either , so that is just as unnatural - oh no you don't approve of my tattoo - pity, I love it. I obviously sit on the other side of the fence ! Lol

More do than don't, especially when you get to the under 30 crowd. I hardly know any female at church that is under 30 that does not have a tattoo.
