The fact that Mark 15 states that this took place on the Day of Preparation is clear evidence that the sun had NOT set. YOU may not be interested in details, but I assure you - the Jews WERE.
As for your rejection of the Sunday Resurrection - the mere fact that the Early Church referred to the FIRST day of the week (Sunday) as "The Lord's Day" - the day He rose (Matt. 28:1, Mark 16:2, Luke 24:1, John 20:1) should have also clued you in, Einstein.
"'The fact that Mark 15 states that this took place…’”
What was “‘this’” – before you call it a “‘fact’”, chum!
“‘This’” you say was Jesus' Crucifixion AND Burial which according to you happened the same day as the Crucifixion before sunset.
But “‘this’” is neither in the Text. “‘This’” according to the Text was "EVENING ALREADY COME". The Crucifixion HAD happened before "EVENING ALREADY COME"; the Burial had not taken place yet, it 'still' had to follow after "EVENING ALREADY COME", because the first thing that was going to take place was that which “the Jews went to ask Pilate to have the crosses and crucified removed because on the sabbath THAT DAY was great-day-of-sabbath-of” their prospective passover- "sabbath day". This was when first and before Joseph, the Jews, made their ‘request’ when “‘…the evening "had come" – but .. parenthetically .. (EVENING) was STILL (in process on) the day BEFORE the Sabbath (Day of Preparation).’”
That’s why the Jews asked – TO PREVENT the crosses to stay next daylight (Deuteronomy 21:23). They did not ask to have the crosses removed after the crucified already would have hung the whole day of their great passover sabbath day -- pure silliness! and “‘clear evidence’” that the sun HAD set AFTER the “Day of Preparation OF THE PASSOVER” on the day of the Crucifixion before!
You may not be interested in details, but GOD is because Jesus illustrating and proving his Divinity fulfilled every Word of God through the prophets.
If only you had the courage of being honest with yourself and the Word of God … if only … sigh my soul. . .
