Notice .. he does not say anything about WATER.
Only about BELIEVING, or NOT.

Mark 16:16 The requirements for those who are being saved cannot be undone by the requirements for those not being saved! He who believes and is baptized is still required for salvation? Heaven and earth may pass away but my words shall not pass away!

If you study the epistles of Paul where the New Covenant is explained, you will find the truth of these scriptures you interpret incorrectly!

Listen, the born again, when learning the scriptures, learn to "rightly divide" them.
Takes time. And God is the revealer who shows you how to SEE Light as Revelation.
The bible is LIGHT, and its REVEALED to you. You dont read it like a novel. You DISCERN IT, spiritually by STUDY.
So, we are to "compare scripture with scripture" to get the CONTEXT.
Let me give you a key.
The Key is... Not all the Apostles had full revelation about all doctrines, at the same time.
Church Doctrine starts with Paul and then it finds its way into the other Apostle's theology.
Let me give you an example.
Right out of the Gate, Paul is taken by Jesus alone, and is TAUGHT.
From these teachings, we get Church Doctrine and "Justification by Faith" as the correct understanding of how Salvation WORKS, and is offered.
Peter, in Acts 10, at least a decade after Christ is in Heaven, still does not know that Gentiles can be saved.
He is still all about the JEWs, and that is why he is teaching Jewish water baptism, in Acts 2:38.
As this was all he knew to teach/preach.
Later, Paul is the clarifier, and eventually all the Apostles got the right message to preach.
This took time.
The Acts of the Apostles is about 30 yrs long.

"if you BELIEVE WITH ALL YOUR HEART".
So, that is the GOSPEL........>"believe on Jesus and you shall be SAVED".
