...you only get “ considered “ Perfect by Resting in the Gospel ...
No, you get considered righteous by what you do....

...a person is considered righteous by what they do and not by faith alone. James 2:24

You show you have the righteousness of God through faith by what you do, not by faith that is alone.

....Resting in the Gospel .....If you don’t do that, according to Hebrews 3 and 4, God calls you out as one who is an “ UNBELIEVER .
We all know this. What most do not know is God will also call you out as one who is an unbeliever by living the life of a hypocrite. Hypocrites don't inherit the kingdom of God. Hypocrites aren't saved. Hypocrites are fake believers.

Believe the Gospel.Prove that you Believe it by Resting in it—- that means don't add to it with Anything...
Peter gives us a whole list of things to add to our faith.....

For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith.... 2 Peter 1:5

You say just lay around and believe. Why is your message different than Peter's?

Creepy. I don't know any other way to describe it. I'm totally creeped out by the Catholic religion. I see now why it's important to you that Mary be deified. After talking to you guys I see it's worse than I thought. Not trying to be mean or insulting. I'm just being totally honest. I'm taken aback by the depth of depravity of your beliefs and how deeply seated they are in you minds. It's scary.

never said Mary is divine
Jesus was is God
Mary is His mother
Mother of God Lk 1:43

Redemption does not depend on, or hinge on this inappropriate exaltation of Mary in any way. And no one is going to hell for not believing Mary is exalted the way Catholics say she is. She's just a believer upon whom God has placed his favor, just like the rest of us (Ephesians 1:6). There's no need to exalt her beyond that. If she were here today she would humbly resist the Catholic church's efforts to exalt her beyond that of being a simple believer like us. That's what real believers do. They defer to Jesus and the Father in all cases and in all circumstances. A real believer will not receive exaltation that only belongs to the Godhead. It's creepy what you're doing to Mary.

why do the angels exalt her
Lk 1:28 call her blessed and says the Lord is with Her

not possible to praise Her enough or thank you thank God for this precious gift

HOLY Church, speaking of the most Blessed Virgin, says that she went up from the desert of this world flowing with delights, leaning upon her Beloved. In fact, all the praises bestowed upon
the Saints, and upon Mary in particular, terminate in Christ our Lord ; because all these praises should be directed to the glory of her Divine Son, Who led her by His grace to the most exalted degree of merit and happiness. It is related in Scripture that the Queen of Saba, taking a multitude of gifts to Jerusalem, offered them all to Solomon. It is thus that all the saints act and the Mother of God especially. She is ever attentive to recognise that her virtues, her perfections, her merits, and her happiness proceed from the mercy of her Divine Son, Who is alone their source, their origin, and perfection : Soli Deo honor et gloria. All honour and glory to God alone; all should return to Him, because from Him alone is every perfect gift.

A Royal greeting!

Lk 1:28 is the only place in the Bible where such a greeting takes place!
Mary is of the tribe of Judah and the royal house of David the king!

God himself is greeting Mary thru the instrument of the angel Gabriel!

This is a Royal greeting of the queen of heaven and earth! Queen of the angels and saints! Mary is of the house of king David!

In the line of king David the mother of the king is the queen, as Jesus Christ is the king of heaven and earth and the angels and saints so Mary is the queen of the same! Lk 1:32-33

Lk 1:28 And the angel entered to her, and said, Hail, full of grace; the Lord is with thee; blessed be thou among women.
29 And when she had heard, she was troubled in his word, and thought what manner salutation this was.
30 And the angel said to her, Dread thou not, Mary, for thou hast found grace with God.

Mary is queen in rev 12:1 and heb 4:16
Mother of divine grace

Of course we are to add to our faith ! I am not talking about that. I am talking about adding to the Gospel Found In 1Cor15:1-4..... isn’t that more than clear by now? What have you been reading...or NOT reading?
I am talking about adding to the Gospel just like Paul talked about it.....Paul said that if you added anything that required human works ( Religion, in other words) to his Gospel Of Pure Grace you were “Fallen from Grace”...... that may or may not mean Damnation.....worth considering.....

As for “just lay around and believe?” One has the freedom to do nothing....one always has the freedom to be a fool....and God has the freedom to give the guy no Crowns when he goes to heaven...my message is the same as Peters.....if you are Wise you will take his advice and add to your Faith....you don’t have to, but if you refuse to, you will pay a price. It has nothing to do with Salvation.....That was having the Faith to receive a Free Gift ....remember?

Preaching the law is something that will be found to have been a fruitful endeavor on the day of judgment.

It shows people that they are sinners in need of a Saviour for as long as they continue to be sinners.

When a man comes to faith in Christ, he becomes a new creature in Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17 (kjv)); and as the result of becoming a new creation, he comes to the place where he "cannot sin" (1 John 3:9) and also he "sinneth not" for as long as he will abide in Christ (1 John 3:6). And also the Bible preaches that we can abide in Christ for ever (1 John 2:17)..

In 1 Corinthians 15:1-4, the blood of Jesus is definitely an element, that, while not specifically mentioned, pervades the fact that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures.

And the blood of Jesus does not only justify a man (as per Romans 5:9)...it also sanctifies him (Hebrews 13:12, Hebrews 10:29) and cleanses him from all sin (1 John 1:7).

So, my question to all: is it possible for the blood to be applied and for it to not perform all of its explicit functions?

Can it justify a man and not also sanctify and cleanse him from all sin?

I would say that believing that you are justified when the blood has not sanctified you and cleansed you from all sin, may or may not mean damnation. People more intelligent than me have concluded that it does, in fact, mean damnation. (imitation is the sincerest form of flattery).

Something worth considering.

Mary was a very blessed woman.....that does not exclude her from being a Sinner that needed a Saviour......she would be the first to agree.....

1) I never said that; and,

2) I actually did sic the mods on @HisLife because his behaviour truly was beyond the normal level of attack that you might experience in a normal case of banter on a forum; and,

3) That was the only case in which I even ever did that.

And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.

Surely you are the one who gauges whether a person's gospel is right or faulty...

You can bet your sweet behind that I do ! A five year old could do it....it’s 1cor15:1-4.....anything that goes beyond saying that Jesus died for your sins and rose from the dead and that simply believing those Truths will save a person is a False and perverted Gospel.....
You sinfully ADD to that simple Gospel when you falsely claim that one must Repent Of all of their sins before they die or they will go to Hell......This is why you and your ilk are “ Fallen from Grace”...... all one has to do is read Galatians ....your “ fallen” state is obvious and can’t be denied...... I take no pleasure in saying that.....it’s just so obvious , it can’t be ignored....

We agree on this but we are using just different terms....Faith in the Blood Plus Nothing does the saving....then, because of your Faith in that Blood , God gives you His Holy Spirit and it is that Indwelling Spirit That does the Sanctifying in a person’s life.....
The Blood “ starts” the process that you are referring to....the actual process itself follows naturally after that Faith is put in the Blood and is a work performed by the Holy Spirit , not the Blood per se.....but that is quibbling....I understand what you mean and there is no problem seeing it that way or expressing it that way....I think my way of thinking is a little more precise....it means nothing in the end .....anybody who puts their Faith in that Blood Of Jesus to Save them is Saved.....THAT is the important thing.....how one sees or explains the details of God's Transforming work in the Heart Of The Believer is secondary.....the fact that it “ happens” is the important thing......

There is no rule that says I can't use your own words against you...

Of course there is no rule.....do as you wish ....I couldn't care less.....Heaven knows, it’s a tactic I have often used! That’s where you are getting it from— me! Lol....
Just trying to give you a “ heads up” ......you seem like a nice guy, a guy who means well....you are reasonably intelligent .....you got some good stuff going for you , but unfortunately you are not “ clever”..... Your aping Of me , in an attempt to “ turn the tables” on me , ain’t clever....it doesn’t fit who you are and it comes off as kinda pathetic....just sayin’.....
If this little explanation makes you think that you are “ getting to me” .....you are mistaken....do what you want.....its laughable to me and probably many others....just so you know how you are coming off....now please , if you choose—- have at it! I love to laugh! Your friendly foe, BB ....
