Greetings again CTK,
Daniel 8:9–14 (KJV): 9 And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land. 10 And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them. 11 Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down. 12 And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered. 13 Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot? 14 And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.
I take "came up" as the growth of four notable horns which replaced the one large horn. Most modern translations accept "four horns":
Daniel 8:8 (ESV): Then the goat became exceedingly great, but when he was strong, the great horn was broken, and instead of it there came up four conspicuous horns toward the four winds of heaven.
Daniel 8:8 (NASB 95): Then the male goat magnified himself exceedingly. But as soon as he was mighty, the large horn was broken; and in its place there came up four conspicuous horns toward the four winds of heaven.
Daniel 8:8 (NIV84): The goat became very great, but at the height of his power his large horn was broken off, and in its place four prominent horns grew up toward the four winds of heaven.
Daniel 8:8 (NET): The male goat acted even more arrogantly. But no sooner had the large horn become strong than it was broken, and there arose four conspicuous horns in its place, extending toward the four winds of the sky.

This gives a great amount of detail of how the Pagan Roman Empire first gained a foothold in Asia Minor, and then over a number of years grew in influence and power in the region. For example I have a bookmark in pages 39--40. This explains the gradual growth of the Little Horn of Daniel 8.
Kind regards

The Little Horn of Daniel 8 is different to the Little Horn of Daniel 7. The Little Horn of Daniel 7 is the Papacy, while the Little Horn of Daniel 8 is the Eastern Roman Pagan Empire and this Little Horn crucified Jesus and destroyed the Temple in AD 70.The 4th kingdom beast is pagan Rome - the kingdom that was in place when the Messiah arrived. After the cross AND after the 10 horns came out of pagan Rome, the little horn would not arrive for another 400 years.
You have attempted to establish a rule in order to interpret Daniel 8. That rule is erroneous, as is your interpretation based on that rule.God is going to have us focus on ONLY those kingdoms within this chapter that He has given "horns" to.
Daniel 8:8 (KJV): Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven. It was God who had given the power to the 4 notable ones (4 generals). They are not ever recognized as "horns" in this chapter.

You seem to have invented your own "history". One prophecy book which also includes some history that I have found interesting is:God is not required, and indeed does not follow what we have recorded in our history books.
