We need to be able to deal with verses like this without needed to change the meanings of the words. The word meanings need to remain consistent with the other places they are used.

These parables are concerning the outer darkness, which is not hell. Hell will be eventually cast into the lake of fire and human men perish there. It’s not the worst fate. The worst fate is reserved for worthless servants.

Because they don’t have Gods Spirit. They will die, be raised again, and go to the second death. There is no eternal life except through being born a second time, with Gods Spirit. Those who have His Spirit will not see the second death. That’s what makes the outer darkness so terrifying.

Just because God raises a man to life again does not mean he is born eternal. If he were born eternal, he would not need to be raised again.

With all due respect, that is a very stupid remark. I showed you from Scripture that the soul does NOT perish when a person dies. And that is why those who were resurrected had their souls return to their bodies. And because the soul is imperishable, God offers eternal life to all. He also decrees eternal damnation to those who do not obey the Gospel.

Being spiritually dead does not mean being physically dead yet. It’s one of the first things we begin to struggle over - why did God say on the day you eat it you will die and yet they lived hundreds of years after that…?
