2Ti 3:10 But thou hast fully known my doctrine, manner of life, purpose, faith, longsuffering, charity, patience,That is not saying you must read your bible to be birthed in the Spirit.
Of course we need to read the word of God...He leads us through his word.
What I am saying is...you must be born again for the Holy Spirit to lead us through his Living word.....
2Ti 3:11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me.
2Ti 3:12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution.
2Ti 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
2Ti 3:14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
2Ti 3:15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
2Ti 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
2Ti 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
1Ti 4:13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
1Ti 4:14 Neglect not the gift that is in thee, which was given thee by prophecy, with the laying on of the hands of the presbytery.
1Ti 4:15 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.
1Ti 4:16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee.
God hath given us the Bible, which is a book of instructions. But this book can be of no
manner of profit to us, any otherwise than as it conveys some knowledge to the mind: it can
profit us no more than if it were written in the Chinese or Tartarian language, of which we
know not one word.
This book was written for the use of all; all are directed to search the Scriptures. John
5:39, "Search the Scriptures, for in them ye think ye have eternal life; and they are they that
testify of me;" and Isaiah 34:16, "Seek ye out of the book of the Lord, and read." They that
read and understand are pronounced blessed. Rev. 1:3, "Blessed is he that readeth, and they
that understand the words of this prophecy." If this be true of that particular book of the
Revelation, much more is it true of the Bible in general. Nor is it to be believed that God
would have given instructions in such abundance, if he had intended that receiving instruction should be only a by concernment with us.
