What have you got to back up from what you hear, if you don’t consult the written word to make sure what you heard/ hear was from God.

How would you know any of this..by reading from God’s written?

If it wasn’t from God’s written word....then it wasn’t from God.

Please Show me in the word ,where God speaks to only you in a personal way?

I won’t further this discussion ..pointless following someone who thinks they don’t need to read the Bible....every time I hear the Lord speak to my heart, I check it with scripture, that’s our spirit handbook, to make sure what we hear is 100% from God.

Any thought, desire, inclination, or urge we may have must be brought to the Word of God for comparison and approval. Let the Bible be the judge of every thought. “For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12). No matter how urgent the urge, if it goes against what Scripture says, then it is not of God and must be rejected.

Follow the Holy Spirit’s Leading
The Holy Spirit is God—a divine Being with a mind, emotions, and will. He is always with us (Psalm 139:7–8). His purposes include interceding for us (Romans 8:26–27) and giving gifts to benefit the church (1 Corinthians 12:7–11).

The Holy Spirit wills to fill us (Ephesians 5:18) and produce in us His fruit (Galatians 5:22–25). No matter what decisions we’re making day to day, we can’t go wrong when we exhibit love, joy, peace, etc., to the glory of God. When we have a random thought pop into our heads, we must learn to “test the spirits” (1 John 4:1). Will following this inclination lead to more Christlikeness? Will dwelling on this thought produce more of the fruit of the Spirit in me? The Holy Spirit will never lead us to gratify the sinful desires of the flesh (Galatians 5:16); He will always lead us toward sanctification (1 Peter 1:2). Life on earth is a spiritual battle. The enemy is eager to supply diversions to distract us from God’s will (1 Peter 5:8). We must be vigilant to ensure that what we heed is more than a feeling but is truly from God Himself.

Remember, God wants to show us the right path to take. He’s not in the business of hiding His will from those who seek Him.

Here are some good questions to ask as we examine whether or not we are hearing God: Are the promptings confusing or vague? God is not the author of confusion; He is the bringer of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33). Do the thoughts go against God’s Word? God will not contradict Himself. Will following these promptings lead to sin? Those who “keep in step with the Spirit” have “crucified the flesh with its passions and desires” (Galatians 5:24–25).

In addition, it is good to seek counsel from a Christian friend, family member, or pastor (Proverbs 15:22). Our pastors are there to help shepherd us: “Have confidence in your leaders and submit to their authority, because they keep watch over you as those who must give an account” (Hebrews 13:17).

God does not want us to fail. The more we listen to God, the better we will be at distinguishing His voice from the other noises in our heads. Jesus, the Good Shepherd, gives His promise: “He goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice” (John 10:4). Others may speak, “but the sheep [do] not listen to them” (verse 8). The better we know our Shepherd, the less we have to worry about heeding the wrong voice.










Without God’s word , we would be leading ourselves....believing what we hear is from God...I’ve also heard murderers say that God told them to murder/ rape etc...very dangerous way of communicating imo I’m afraid.

Leaning on your own understanding of the Bible is not how you test the spirits - and that is according to what is written in the Bible!!

There is a test in the Bible for testing the spirits to see if it is the Holy Spirit who you are hearing from, and that test is not 'leaning on your own understanding of the Bible, but rather it is a test of the spirit which is talking to you - to make sure that spirit is confessing Jesus Christ came in the flesh!!

Therefore the person who tells others to lean in their own understanding of what is written in the Bible is the person who is not testing the spirits like told to do in the Bible. Here is the test:

1 Jn 4:1-3 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.
By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God;
and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God; this is the spirit of the antichrist, of which you have heard that it is coming, and now it is already in the world.

Now if you are thinking that your own understanding of the Bible is going to keep you from being deceived, as opposed to actually testing the spirits according to what is written in the Bible, it is you who are deceived because of your own pride!

Of course there as a couple of things about that test. The first is the you actually have to be able to hear with your spiritual ears!!!

If you cannot hear or are dull of hearing so spirits come across as a feeling or unction on you, then you can't use that test. Note that John wrote this instruction to the "Beloved" - so it is for believers whom the Lord loves because they actually do listen to Him. Those who pretend obedience to Him cannot use the test!!

And I will also tell you that even using the test is kind of weird. You pick up a spirit talking to you, so you ask it to confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh, and sometimes everything goes quite, or sometimes they will flat out tell you "I can't tell you that". Other times they will try to change the subject by just trying to tell you something else - anything else. I have heard them curse at Jesus when asked that question. I have also heard them say, "oh yeah, Jesus came in the flesh', but then many name Jesus have been in the flesh, so I make sure I actually insist on Jesus Christ came in the flesh, because that is who we are talking about. And I myself, actually want to hear them confess that Jesus Christ not only came in the flesh but also rose again.

And that gets down to the reason they don't confess that Jesus, the Christ, came in the flesh. If He came in the flesh, died on the cross, and rose again, they are doomed, guilty, and have lost all hope. And more than that, they are under the command of Satan, and if He was to find out that they said Jesus Christ came in the flesh, then Satan will torture them. It would be something like saying Putin is a bad man, in Russia. If found out, it would not be good for you, and more so in the case of Satan's rule.

So, another thing to know about this test, is that Satan hates it!!! Just using it is like rubbing salt in his wounds - and that applies to the other evil spirits in the world also. So even using the test results in less evil spirits wanting to talk to you, period!

And all this and more will get explained to you, if your are actually taught of God. Now we can only learn so many things and that takes time. So a new believe might not understand all this, which is not only understandable but expected. But what about those posting often on this Christian Forum?

Well - if they are leaning on their own understanding of the Bible instead of trying to be taught of God, they won't lean this, won't actually do what is written in the Bible, but they will be Bible Thumpers!! The orderly line upon line of test that they read a little here and there will become the Word of God to them, instead of Jesus Christ!

They will then come to believe the Bible is the "Good News", instead of understand that Jesus Christ and our now being able to talk back and forth with Him by faith is the "Good News". So they write things like:

And complete miss the fact they have it all wrong!! "HIS SPIRIT" brings us His words, and Jesus Christ is the Truth, and the Gospel is that we can get to know Him personally!! And that is all in the Bible which 'amigo de christo' calls 'HIS WORDS, HIS GOSPEL, HIS TRUTH. 'amigo de christo', has in fact replaced Jesus Christ with the Bible. Did he not read what Jesus told the Jews?

Jn 5:39,40 You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me;
and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life.

That is his problem: He has replaced Jesus Christ and the Good News which is we can come to Jesus and walk and talk with Him, with the Bible and knowing the Bible. And that is not what the Scriptures tell us!! But they do explain that doing what 'amigo de christo' is doing is a problem and a serious problem!!

In the same section of the Bible we find that Jesus was talking to those who do not have His word abiding in them, and they don't actually believe in Him!!

Jn 5:38 “You do not have His word abiding in you, for you do not believe Him whom He sent.

We find out this also:

Jn 5: 41 “I do not receive glory from men;

Do you not still understand that God used men to write the Bible? He spoke to Moses and so Moses heard from Him and wrote! But still, He does not receive glory from men!! It is the Holy Spirit who gives Him glory, and that by taking His words and bring them to your spirit. And that is what give you life, not the Bible - which you people fail to understand because they don't actually believe Jesus is there with us all the time with His Holy Spirit!

Jn 6:63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.

The Bible is not spirit, it is ink on pages. Yes the Holy Spirit talked to Moses, but then he wrote and those writings were intended to get you to hear from the Lord via His Holy Spirit, just like Moses was doing. But they whom Moses spoke and wrote to did not listen!!!

Deut 8:20 “Like the nations that the LORD makes to perish before you, so you shall perish; because you would not listen to the voice of the LORD your God.

So, they accuse others ( the saints, like their father the devil) of not knowing the Lord when it is them who don't know Him and don't listen to Him and so they call the orderly lines of text they read a little hear and there the word of God, and that just results in the falling backwards and being taken captive. That too is in the Bible!

Is 28:12,13 He who said to them, “Here is rest, give rest to the weary,”
And, “Here is repose,” but they would not listen
So the word of the LORD to them will be,
“Order on order, order on order,
Line on line, line on line,
A little here, a little there,”
That they may go and stumble backward, be broken, snared and taken captive.

People, the Bible is not the Word of God, Jesus is. That is His name, according to the Bible, and that because He is with you to talk to you personally!!!

Also, the Bible is not the GOOD NEWS , Jesus is. That is because you can and do know God if you come to know Him. And like knowing any person, we get to know them by talking back and forth with them, not be reading their book. Try reading the book of a famous author then showing up and their door without ever taking back and forth with them and see if they know you. Will you not be turned away as a foolish person?

And your understanding of the Bible is not the Truth!! Jesus Christ is the Truth and that because He has the words of God! His Father gave them to Him, and His Holy Spirit does not speak on His own but takes His words and brings the to you!

Jn 16:13 - 15 “But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.
“He will glorify Me, for He will take of Mine and will disclose it to you.
“All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said that He takes of Mine and will disclose it to you.

But the Scriptures are good for reproof, so I use them to reprove the Bible Thumpers so they might repent of their ways and seek Jesus Christ and what He says!! They are the ones who do not believe the Bible!! And how will they believe in Jesus Christ is they don't even believe what is actually written?

Jn 5:46,47 “For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about Me.
“But if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe My words?”

Can you not even see in the above verse that Jesus Himself make a separation between the writings of Moses and His words?

Adam, didn't know the Bible. Enoch did know the Bible. Noah didn't know the Bible. Abraham didn't know the Bible. Yet you make it about the Bible.

As for me, the first words my Lord told me were, "Read Your Bible", so I do and He talks to me about it. But it is about knowing Him who talks to us, Jesus Christ, and you are making it about the Bible!!

He also talked to me about how people make an idol out of their Bible, which we see in these verses:

His glory does not come from the Bible which He had men write!! His glory comes from His Holy Spirit who brings His words to us!!! How to you not know this??? Did you not even read your Bible???

“But there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who it was that would betray Him.

The Bible was to get people to seek Jesus Christ and listen to what He has to say to us via His Holy Spirit, but the unbeliever betrays Him by making it about the Bible instead of using the Bible to make it about Him!! But He knows who they are!

Did you not read where Jesus Christ took on flesh and came to earth but ran into a people who had the Scriptures but did not listen to Him??? They killed Him!!! They hated Him!! They refused to listen to Him!! But they had the Scriptures!! They read the Scriptures, studied the Scriptures, and they of all people should have known that He was the word of the Lord who spoke to Abram in a vision, but they didn't!! All that study of the Scriptures did not succeed in getting them to know Jesus Christ when He showed up face to face with them in the flesh!!! Did you read that in the Bible??? There are four books of the Bible on that subject!!!

And yet even then there was a few, very few, who did know Him. They heard with their spiritual ears!!

Luke 2:26,26 And there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon; and this man was righteous and devout, looking for the consolation of Israel; and the Holy Spirit was upon him.
And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.

So are you not making an idol out of your Bible? And if the Lord told "One 2 question" that he was not to read the Bible anymore because he was making an idol out of it, why do you not consider that you might be doing the same thing? Perhaps you need to talk to Jesus Christ on this subject, least you become like those Jews who were thinking knowing the Scriptures would save them, and so didn't come to Jesus and didn't hear from His Holy Spirit!!!

That is what was happening with most of the Jews back then, so is it happening Today?

Heb 3: 7-11 Therefore, just as the Holy Spirit says,
“TODAY IF YOU HEAR HIS VOICE,
DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS AS WHEN THEY PROVOKED ME,

You know what He told me today, even before I got started with the Lord's prayer and my time with Him, He started telling me to write again on this forum. So, I sat with Him, prayed the Lord's prayer with some other things I usually pray and listen again. And He again said, go and write.

There are obviously a lot of people concerned when someone says they hear from God, even that they heard from Him that he was tending to make and idol out of his Bible, and they are concerned that he is not hearing from the Lord, when perhaps they need to be considering whether they too are making an idol out of their Bible just like the majority of Jews were doing in the desert and all the way till Jesus showed up in the flesh. The Scriptures will not save you, but didn't we read that in the Scriptures?

Gal 3:22 But the Scripture has shut up everyone under sin, so that the promise by faith in Jesus Christ might be given to those who believe.

Did you miss that verse???

Again, the first words He told me were "Ready Your Bible", but I know that it is about Him speaking to me personally!!! It is faith in Jesus Christ, and not about you leaning on your own understanding!! The Bible makes that clear, if indeed you did read it!!

Prov 3:5,6 Trust in the LORD with all your heart
And do not lean on your own understanding.
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He will make your paths straight.

Where as others seem to be making and idol out of it and not listening to Him. So who is going to meet the Lord in heaven when they are removed from this flesh. Is it those who know the Bible well, or those who actually know Him well?

Rom 10: 1-3 Brethren, my heart’s desire and my prayer to God for them is for their salvation.
For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with knowledge.
For not knowing about God’s righteousness and seeking to establish their own, they did not subject themselves to the righteousness of God.

Do you not know that the Word of God we preach is near us always, in our mouth and in our hearts, so not ink on pages!!

If He came in the flesh, died on the cross, and rose again, they are doomed, guilty, and have lost all hope. And more than that, they are under the command of Satan, and if He was to find out that they said Jesus Christ came in the flesh, then Satan will torture them. It would be something like saying Putin is a bad man, in Russia. If found out, it would not be good for you, and more so in the case of Satan's rule.

So, another thing to know about this test, is that Satan hates it!!! Just using it is like rubbing salt in his wounds - and that applies to the other evil spirits in the world also. So even using the test results in less evil spirits wanting to talk to you, period!

And all this and more will get explained to you, if your are actually taught of God. Now we can only learn so many things and that takes time. So a new believe might not understand all this, which is not only understandable but expected. But what about those posting often on this Christian Forum?

Well - if they are leaning on their own understanding of the Bible instead of trying to be taught of God, they won't lean this, won't actually do what is written in the Bible, but they will be Bible Thumpers!! The orderly line upon line of test that they read a little here and there will become the Word of God to them, instead of Jesus Christ!

They will then come to believe the Bible is the "Good News", instead of understand that Jesus Christ and our now being able to talk back and forth with Him by faith is the "Good News". So they write things like:



And complete miss the fact they have it all wrong!! "HIS SPIRIT" brings us His words, and Jesus Christ is the Truth, and the Gospel is that we can get to know Him personally!! And that is all in the Bible which 'amigo de christo' calls 'HIS WORDS, HIS GOSPEL, HIS TRUTH. 'amigo de christo', has in fact replaced Jesus Christ with the Bible. Did he not read what Jesus told the Jews?

Jn 5:39,40 You search the Scriptures because you think that in them you have eternal life; it is these that testify about Me;
and you are unwilling to come to Me so that you may have life.

That is his problem: He has replaced Jesus Christ and the Good News which is we can come to Jesus and walk and talk with Him, with the Bible and knowing the Bible. And that is not what the Scriptures tell us!! But they do explain that doing what 'amigo de christo' is doing is a problem and a serious problem!!

In the same section of the Bible we find that Jesus was talking to those who do not have His word abiding in them, and they don't actually believe in Him!!

Jn 5:38 “You do not have His word abiding in you, for you do not believe Him whom He sent.

We find out this also:

Do you not still understand that God used men to write the Bible? He spoke to Moses and so Moses heard from Him and wrote! But still, He does not receive glory from men!! It is the Holy Spirit who gives Him glory, and that by taking His words and bring them to your spirit. And that is what give you life, not the Bible - which you people fail to understand because they don't actually believe Jesus is there with us all the time with His Holy Spirit!

Jn 6:63 “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.

The Bible is not spirit, it is ink on pages. Yes the Holy Spirit talked to Moses, but then he wrote and those writings were intended to get you to hear from the Lord via His Holy Spirit, just like Moses was doing. But they whom Moses spoke and wrote to did not listen!!!

Deut 8:20 “Like the nations that the LORD makes to perish before you, so you shall perish; because you would not listen to the voice of the LORD your God.

So, they accuse others ( the saints, like their father the devil) of not knowing the Lord when it is them who don't know Him and don't listen to Him and so they call the orderly lines of text they read a little hear and there the word of God, and that just results in the falling backwards and being taken captive. That too is in the Bible!

Is 28:12,13 He who said to them, “Here is rest, give rest to the weary,”

So the word of the LORD to them will be,

People, the Bible is not the Word of God, Jesus is. That is His name, according to the Bible, and that because He is with you to talk to you personally!!!

Also, the Bible is not the GOOD NEWS , Jesus is. That is because you can and do know God if you come to know Him. And like knowing any person, we get to know them by talking back and forth with them, not be reading their book. Try reading the book of a famous author then showing up and their door without ever taking back and forth with them and see if they know you. Will you not be turned away as a foolish person?

And your understanding of the Bible is not the Truth!! Jesus Christ is the Truth and that because He has the words of God! His Father gave them to Him, and His Holy Spirit does not speak on His own but takes His words and brings the to you!
