Even those who walk in the Spirit, Jesus is cleansing them of some kind of sin. 1 John 1:7. They are not willful sins, because that would be a dichotomy with walking in the Spirit. But there are unintentional sins called trespasses that you don't even know you've committed due to immaturity in the Spirit and its fruit. And as you mature, those are less and less. Leviticus 5:15; 1 John 5:16-17

What I am getting at is this. Every sin we commit, it is a willful sin. None of us are coerced. Even if someone puts a gun to our head and we lie, we still could refuse to lie.

For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins,[Hebrews 10:26]

What that is saying is that if we go on live a live filled with sinning after we have acknowledged the truth, there remains no sacrifice for sins. However, 1 John 3 tells us that we who are saved, can't go on practicing sin, as His Spirit is within us.

Not every sin is a willful sin. Seeing no difference and saying "sin is sin" is a Calvinist teaching, but it is not how God's word tells us that God views sin. Intention and knowledge are what makes a difference in sins to Him. There are sins unto death (willful sins of lawlessness), and sins NOT unto death (unintentional sins), unwittingly committed called trespasses. Do you understand that or not?

If I sin, it is unknown to me. If I sinned and knew I was committing a sin, that would be "willful." I never go against my conscience. You are asking me questions, but revealing nothing about yourself when I return the question. Hmmmmm. LOL

Sissy, we have this flesh to contend with. It causes us all kinds of problems. Yet, we have no excuse when we sin. Even Apostle Paul, who penned 13 of the NT books struggled with sin, as his testifying to it is found in Romans 7:14-25.

Every sin is under the blood, that's Christianity 101. However, that does not negate the fact we need to repent of them.

I've been open with you. I said every time I sin its a willful sin. "Sin is sin" is not solely a Calvinist teaching, but a Christian teaching. And I agree with you that there are more grievous sins than others. Look at the believers at Corinth. For this reason many among you are weak and sick, and a number sleep.[1 Corinthians 11:30] Sleep is used by Paul in some places to mean the believers who have died. Like in 1 Thessalonians 4:13 But we do not want you to be uninformed, brethren, about those who are asleep, so that you will not grieve as do the rest who have no hope. Paul in Corinth is telling them that some have abused the Lord's table, and some of them were sick, some were weak, and some were asleep. It appears they died saved, even though they abused the Lord's table. This points to the perfection of the Christ(Whom believers are in) over against the imperfection of mankind.

The HS DID NOT indwell the 120. I have already showed that in acts 1 it is the apostles and ONLY the apostles promised the power of the Spirit in acts 1. Acts 1:11. Ye MEN OF GALILEE. This is not the 120.
The “they” in acts 2:1 refers to the nearest antecedent which is “apostles” in the last verse of chapter 1 . This was a letter and did not have chapters when it was written. So, you can throw all the “ifs” out there if you want but the facts are clear. The HS was promised the apostles in Jn 13-16 and again in acts 1. There were no others present during these encounters.
