Why don’t you explain to me when you think it is proper to judge because you seem to be passing a lot of judgement on me right now. Is it just ok for you?You obviously don't understand the concept, because you are judging rather people are elect.
Where does that come from?@CNKW3 What is the difference between the elect and the "highest elect".
As in ...if it were possible even the HIGHEST ELECT should be deceived.
Well it says the Very elect.... Matthew 24:24....so rephrasing what is the difference between the elect and the very elect...or is their a difference?Where does that come from?
I don’t think it is speaking of degree. Other translations use the phrase.Well it says the Very elect.... Matthew 24:24....so rephrasing what is the difference between the elect and the very elect...or is their a difference?
Since the Calvinist are having a hard time proving that God specifically chose them for salvation, the trend I
Exactly....so who does Satan deceive? Those who believe His Word....who are those who believe His Word? His elect....so that includes all born again believers.I don’t think it is speaking of degree. Other translations use the phrase.
Even the elect.
They will mislead, if possible, even the elect.
Chris uses the unbiblical definition of foreknowledge.
Foreknowledge in the Greek is a verb, meaning God’s foreknowledge is not that He merely knows something ahead of time, but that He actually does something in foreknowing them. Them He foreknew means He elected them...He did something. Ppl are conflating this with His omniscience. He knows everybody whoever lived by His omniscience, but only foreknows His elect via foreknowledge.Hi Anthony,
In your claim that Chris uses an unbiblical definition of foreknowledge, would you mind showing from the Bible your definition?
Since the basic linguistic meaning of the word is to know ahead of time, where do we find this defined another way?
Much love!

I am saved from the wrath of God for I believe is Jesus my Lord whom the Father has sent

If this thread were titled "All who made themselves the elect of God by electing yourselves please stand up!" every false gospelizer in here would stand up. It is a denial of grade and is nothing less than meritorious salvation.
When we claim God elected us to salvation they call it arrogant, knowing full well that biblical election is not meritorious, not based on a thing good or a thing done in us, but is solely of grace. Lol!!!![]()
Which book do you recommend?I could explain but that would spoil the book I recommended.
That's a category error. Has nothing to do with what were specifically getting at. Keep trying!Hi P4T,
There's an expression I love, "sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander". Yes, just as ridiculous the other way around!
Oh . . . let's all "prove" our salvation! Prove our election? Right!
Wait . . . there is a proof. Our love. And endurance through trials.
Will you show us in the Bible where it means God saw you'd choose him so he chose you? Then show us how that's not meritorious? And how you did that while dead in sin and unable? And how meritorious choosing is unmerited favor (grace)?

There's nothing to answer. You don't have to answer my question if you don't want to.
