Actually I had them pierced when I was around fifteen but I don't have them pierced anymore.
Ah,.. I see.

Important to concentrate first and foremost on the inward and spiritual. Which is indeed Scriptural to do.
But some ppl are not concerned about having any earrings at all. Others will get at least 2 pairs of holes put in, which seems to be the very wide custom for many...
@April_Rose Some ppl are not into jewelry as much. Kind of preferring minimalism, right? :)
@April_Rose PS: Sometimes if they are done in 16 or 18 gauge the holes are less likely to close up than if they are in the basic 20 gauge...
(Might be something for ppl to bear in mind, anyway...)

@April_Rose I don't really mean the big, stretched holes for plugs, as some ppl do; instead, if the person wants holes that won't likely close up quickly, s/he needs to ask the piercer to do them with a needle in 16 or 18 gauge, which might make all the difference.
From back, @Pearl Although there is a classic simplicity about studs for the lobes, there is indeed something special about the pendants which are long and swing constantly; I have given my wife pearl-style pendant earrings. Some ppl do prefer pendants to hoops; something classy about long dangles.
@April_Rose Well, for some ppl "minimalism" means no earrings at all; for others it means one small stud each side...
