The Bible is VERY clear on what happens to an aborted fetus. It does not become a living being until the Spirit of God "Breathes into its Nostrils the Breath of Life."
"Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being." Gen 2:7
As James confirms: "For as the body apart from the spirit is dead" James 2:26
Job confirms the Genesis account:
“Behold, I belong to God like you;
I too have been formed out of the clay."
“The Spirit of God has made me,
And the breath of the Almighty gives me life." Job 33
"Till I die I will not put away my integrity from me.
For as long as life is in me,
And the breath of God is in my nostrils" Job 27
Life only exists while the
Breath/Spirit of God is in their nostrils, after they exit the womb until they enter the grave, at which time the Spirit returns to God who gave it. Eccl 12
Death involves the same things, but in reverse order:
1.. Man's body returns to the dust from whence it came;
2. And the spirit returns to God who gave it. Ecclesiastes 12:7
Yes...birth of form-ed man...receives soul (vessel), Gods Breath in soul into form-ed mans nostrils.
Yes...man (form/body) and soul Called by the identity of the mans Name.
Yes...when Body’s life (blood) dies...living soul departs dead body.
Example...
Rachel, wife of Jacob, died during delivery of son Benjamin. Her soul departed, her body buried.
Gen 35:
[18] And it came to pass, as her soul was in departing, (for she died) that she called his name Ben-oni: but his father called him Benjamin.
[19] And Rachel died, and was buried in the way to Ephrath, which is Bethlehem.
Example...
Elijah sojourned at a widows house. Widows boy falls sick, dies. Elijah prays God to return the boy’s soul to him, God does, boys bodily life resumes.
1 Kings 17:
[17] And it came to pass after these things, that the son of the woman, the mistress of the house, fell sick; and his sickness was so sore, that there was no breath left in him.
[18] And she said unto Elijah, What have I to do with thee, O thou man of God? art thou come unto me to call my sin to remembrance, and to slay my son?
[19] And he said unto her, Give me thy son. And he took him out of her bosom, and carried him up into a loft, where he abode, and laid him upon his own bed.
[20] And he cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, hast thou also brought evil upon the widow with whom I sojourn, by slaying her son?
[21] And he stretched himself upon the child three times, and cried unto the LORD, and said, O LORD my God, I pray thee, let this child's soul come into him again.
[22] And the LORD heard the voice of Elijah; and the soul of the child came into him again, and he revived.
[23] And Elijah took the child, and brought him down out of the chamber into the house, and delivered him unto his mother: and Elijah said, See, thy son liveth.
Example ...
Luke 16: 19 - 31
Abraham has died and body was buried. (Gen 25: 8,9)
A rich man has died and body was buried. (Luke 16: 22)
In Hell, betwix a dividing great gulf, the rich man and Abraham are having a conversation....or more to the fact....the rich man and Abraham’s Departed Living souls are having a conversation.
In Luke 16...the senses that were in a mans body, now departed out of a mans body are on display for living men to know....
Seeing, hearing, speaking, tasting, touching, continues alive, with Gods Breath of Life, in a mans departed living soul....at the very least...
until Judgement Day.
Glory to God,
