and because of our permanent position IN CHRIST we also have been appointed as God’s inheritance, or perhaps, we have been appointed an inheritance (by God)
which was foreordained in accordance with His predetermined plan (his decree),
a plan/decree which originated from the One who sets in motion all things, the one who, behind the scenes, is shaping the events of history (the One who implements/executes the plan)
in accordance with the decree of His sovereign will, purpose, and design, (as such, this plan can not be altered)
1.12
(in light of this, our destiny as God’s inheritance, our own inheritance, as well as all aforementioned divine provisions/blessings)
we, who are now in a state of awaiting a future reality, (having previously placed our hope in Christ,)
ultimately, will praise His glory (who he is and what he’s done)
1.13
IN WHOM also you,
having heard the word/message, which as to its very essence is truth/reality,
which is the Good News (Gospel) of your salvation,
IN WHOM also,
after you believed,
you were then sealed, that is, you were marked as God’s property
by means of the promised Holy Spirit,
(the Spirit, the promised One, the Holy One)
