Ummm - WHERE does John qualify your position?

NOTHING in his statement about forgiven sin. Anyway - forgiven sin is NO LONGER held against bus, so it doesn't exist - right??
Time for a Bible Lesson . . .

Here is the entire passage – in CONTEXT:
1 John 1:8-10

If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.

You’re making your entire argument from verse 10 ONLY. Verses 8 & 9 are about the sins you are committing now as a Christian.
Notice that John includes himself in this statement . . .

You are a perpetual game player.

Quote anyone saying they have no sin.

WRONG again.

Heb. 10:26-27 and 2 Pet. 2:20-22 specifically refer to people with an EPIGNOSIS of Christ. ONLY a converted, born-again believer can have Epignosis of Him.

Game.
Set.

MATCH . . .

Gods Word is not a GAME.
Gods Forgiveness, Salvation, Quickening is not A GAME.

If you don’t know what those things ARE, or according to GODS WAY HOW to receive those things….that would be your problem, not mine.

I have already ACCOMPLISHED accepting Gods OFFERING and His POWER Guarantees His Gifts He has given men IS KEPT unto me.

You are the one jumping back and forth over the fence. With God….without God Sinning….with God….without God Sinning….

Not complicated….If you are not WITH God, you are AGAINST God…

Both you and @amigo de christo have convinced yourselves that each you KNOW the truth.....but you disagree with each other.

Weird....

You have dodged MULTIPLE questions that I have asked you....Pot calling the kettle black OR hypocrite? Which one are you?

You ask foolish questions as if, foolish question require an others attention…

Statement….I sin no more.
You ask………do you still sin

You ask….did Mary, mother of God sin.
Huh? God is without Beginning. God has no mother or father.

It is obvious you do not comprehend what others say, but also appears you don’t comprehend what you say.
And somehow you wonder why it not possible for you to have a meaningful conversation.

WRONG again.

James is writing to believing Christians - not non-believers.

If it applies to them - it applies to YOU . . .

You have been told, scripturally shown, repeatedly and are too stubborn, too fixated on replying to what people do not say and making accusations and ending up in the same conundrum of NOT Understanding.

Not one person said James was preaching to un-believers.

You said James was preaching to CONVERTED men. No he wasn’t. He was speaking to Believing men.

You simply do not UNDERSTAND Believing is one thing….if a person can manage by his own ability to REMAIN Believing until his end (body dies)……He shall be saved.

And men in Belief can then NOT Believe.
They are not saved then unsaved.
They ARE Believers WHO ARE NOT COMMITTED!

Men who Believe….AND…Confess their Belief, ARE COMMITTING to their Heartful Belief. They Become soul saved and spirit born again RIGHT THEN!!!! ONE TIME and FOREVER sealed unto God. They ARE Converted, and that IS NEVER reversed!

Do you comprehend what a conjunction IS?
AND…AND…AND…!!!

A mans WORKS is Belief.
A mans SERVICE is Confessing his Belief.
A mans GIFT thereafter is Forgiveness for having NOT Believed, and Baptism of the Holy Spirit.

And WHY it is false when you claimed you were baptized with the Holy Spirit as a baby, who was unaware, did not believe, and confessed Nothing.

You were TOLD a LIE, and never to this day, have you discovered the TRUTH in Gods Word, yet you boldly and repeatedly to your own embarrassment, screech out how wrong any one is that does not agree with your utter nonsense.

Seems you have missed the entire Highlight of the New Testament.
Salvation NOW Kept with Gods Power.
Or
Stick with the SAME per the first 4,000 years, keep believing by your own willpower, and at your bodily end/death…then you shall be saved.
Keep wavering back and forth, with God, not sinning against God, without God sinning against God….and keep asking over and over and over for Forgiveness….BECAUSE why?
Why do you do what the JEWS do who follow the Old Testament?

God forgive me, forgive me, forgive me….
Does God have a Hearing Problem?
Are you completely NOT knowing….JESUS’ BLOOD was the LAST sacrifice for Forgiveness….?
How many times do you think Jesus GAVE His BLOOD to forgive and free a man from the game of sin you play?

Your lack of understanding spiritual things, and your stiffnecked attitude and continual accusations is old, boring and very unpleasant to even attempt having a conversation with you.

Go Learn the Truth or keep back-patting yourself…because what you believe, what you do has zero effect on my forever relationship with the Lord God Almighty and my Believing AND Converted brothers IN Christ.

Did Mary, the mother of God, sin?

Curious
all have sinned , all fall short of the glory of God . So yeah she too erred at times in her life .
But praise be to the GLORIOUS LORD , MARY WAS BLESSED to carry the glorious Christ . And all generations shall call her blessed .
Just dont be praying to her .

Its tough for many a protestant to debate even a harlot .
OF course JAMES was written to believers . IT DOES apply to us . EVERY letter them apostels wrote
applies to us . This is where many a protestant has got confused .
But as for me , IF JESUS said it , DO IT . IF JESUS SAID IT BELIEVE IT .
same goes with ALL they wrote in that bible . IT ALL APPLIES to the believer . THE SPIRIT INSPIRED IT
ITS all for our good . That we do take heed to the scriptures , that we are hearers and DOERS of the WORD .
But again many a protestant dont hold to that simple truth . BUT BEWARE , for la madre de mintidas y muerte
DONT EITHER . She too does much evil and teaches contrary to BIBLICAL DOCTRINE .
HERES A THOUGHT . EVERYONE who names the name of JESUS CHRIST , GET IN THE BIBLE and learn FOR YOURSELVES .

Matt. 7:18 – Jesus says that sound trees bear good fruit. But there is no guarantee that a sound tree will stay sound. It could go rotten.

Matt. 7:21 – all those who say “Lord, Lord” on the last day will not be saved. They are judged by their evil deeds.

Matt. 12:30-32 – Jesus says that he who is not with Him is against Him, therefore (the Greek for “therefore” is “dia toutos” which means “through this”) blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. This means that failing to persevere in Jesus’ grace to the end is the unforgivable sin against the Spirit. We must persevere in faith to the end of our lives.

Matt. 22:14 – Jesus says many are called but few are chosen. This man, who was destined to grace, was at God’s banquet, but was cast out.

Luke 8:13 – Jesus teaches that some people receive the word with joy, but they have no root, believe for a while, and then fall away in temptation. They had the faith but they lost it.

Luke 12:42-46 – we can start out as a faithful and wise steward, then fall away and be assigned to a place with the unfaithful.

Luke 15:11-32 – in the parable of the prodigal son, we learn that we can be genuine sons of the Father, then leave home and die, then return and be described as “alive again.”

John 6:70-71 – Jesus chose or elected twelve, yet one of them, Judas, fell. Not all those predestined to grace persevere to the end.

John 15:1-10 – we can be in Jesus (a branch on the vine), and then if we don’t bear fruit, are cut off, wither up and die. Paul makes this absolutely clear in Rom. 11:20-23.

John 17:12 – we can be given to Jesus by the Father (predestined to grace) and yet not stay with Jesus, like Judas.

John 6:37 – those who continue to come to Jesus He won’t cast out. But it’s a continuous, ongoing action. We can leave Jesus and He will allow this because He respects our freewill.

John 6:39 – Jesus will not lose those the Father gives Him, but we can fall away, like Judas. God allows us not to persevere.

John 6:40 – everyone who sees the Son and believes means the person “continues” to believe. By continuing to believe, the person will persevere and will be raised up. Belief also includes obedience, which is more than an intellectual belief in God.

John 6:44 – Jesus says no one can come to me unless the Father “draws” him. This “drawing” is an ongoing process.

John 10:27-28 – when Jesus says, “no one shall snatch them out of my hands,” He does not mean we can’t leave His hands. We can choose to walk away from Him.

Rev. 2:4-5 – Jesus tells the Ephesians that they abandoned the love they had at first and have fallen. Jesus warns them to repent and do the works they did at first, otherwise He will remove their lampstand (their awaited place in heaven).

Rev. 3:4 – in Sardis, Jesus explained that some people received the white garment and soiled it with sin.

Rev. 3:5 – Jesus says whoever conquers will not be blotted out of the book of life (see Exodus 32:33). This means that we can be blotted out of the book of life. We can have salvation, and then lose salvation by our choice.

Rev. 3:11 – Jesus says to hold fast to what we have, so that no one may seize our crown. Jesus teaches us that we can have the crown of salvation and lose it.

Rev. 13:10; 14:12 – we are called from heaven for the endurance and faith of the saints, keeping the commandments and faith.

Rev. 21:7 – we must conquer in order to share in our heritage and become a true son of Jesus.

Rev. 22:19 – we can have a share in the tree of life in God’s holy city and yet have that share taken away from us.

And somehow you wonder why it not possible for you to have a meaningful conversation.
A conversation takes place when one person says something OR asks a question. The other person then responds in a logical manner and asks the other person a valid question. You have failed to do that. You write a lot of words but never really say anything logical AND you don't answer my questions AND you partially quote me. That is why NO CONVERSATION with you is meaningful.

There is a pattern . If one does err confess ye your faults one to another and pray for one another that ye may be healed .
Many do now consider if they do sin that its not really counted to them as sin
or that its not really them sinning . BIG MISUNDERSTANDING has occured about romans chapter seven .
And many also forget the part where JOHN even said , DO NOT SIN
however if we do sin we have an advocate with the FATHER . NOW this is no excuse to SIN
IF any of the brethren do err , does sin , You rebuke them . If they hear not then the next pattern is done .
They must be removed out of the church TILL repentance has been done .
Otherwise leaven will leaven . ALL of what was written to the church , APPLIES TO THE CHURCH .
again there is this common ERROR among many that hebrews and james DOESNT apply to the church . WRONG again .
Whether jew or gentile THEM LETTERS DO apply to us .
Again we have another massive error , some teach that paul and peter preached a different gospel
meaning one to the jews and one to the gentiles . WRONG AGAIN .
WHILE peter mainly preached THE GOSPLE to the jews , yet we also see him do it to gentile cornelious
and while later paul would preach the GOSPEL mainly to the gentiles , we see him preaching that same gospel
First in many jewish synagogues . IN OTHER WORDS IT IS THE ONE SAME GOSPEL
that both peter , paul and ANY OTHER apostel or person Preached . NOT TWO GOSPELS . that is A LIE .
There are many problems within the protestant realm indeed . But you do need to the FLEE the RCC my friend .
Many teachers , many leaders do abound and i promise they under the guise they are of us ,are NOT .
They have come within to DECIEVE . we better get back in the BIBLE for ourselves

I speak not for any on this thread but what i say next is also true . Remember He who loveth corrects error .
We have to remember this . For many today use the word love as a means to overlook sins , and even to accept sins .THIS
LOVE WOULD NOT DO . ALL whom GOD loveth HE corrects
IF we have HIS SPIRIT then we have HIS LOVE upon our hearts . That love does correct error . it desires the death of none
but rather their repentance . always remember that too my dear friend .

Lol....soooo there are many problems in the Protestant realm, but I need to flee The Catholic Church? Flee to whom? A Protestant denomination that has "many problems". Or should I do like you and 'get back in the bible' for myself? Doing that leads to MILLIONS of truths instead of thousands of truths that each denomination teaches. If I were to listen to you, Jesus prayer is never answered (John 17:20-23). What you are suggesting is OPPOSITE of what Jesus prayed for and wants.

You crack me up.....

@Illuminator ~
I agree with Scripture.
I disagree with your Understanding of Scripture.
I disagree with BOL and marymog Understanding of Scripture.
I disagree with BOL and marymog speaking FOR others what the others have Not said.
I disagree with BOL crude responses to his own words he speaks FOR others.

Scripture REVEALS Knowledge.
All Earthly Alive men are Persons.
Yet….All Persons ARE NOT the SAME;
We, Our, Us, I, Them, They

Ignoring, not considering, not understanding:
Spirit VS the Mind , (also the words) If, And, Is, As, Who, I, When, Where, Why…
LEADS…an individual to a False Understanding.

Ignoring, not considering, not understanding;
* God Created the first man BY (form-ing him a BODY).
* God Made the first mans Body Alive.
* AND called His creation (formed body) AND called His making (giving that Body Life of Gods Breath)…. Very good.
* God GAVE manKIND:
1) his OWN seed to reproduce his SAME-KIND of thing. (Man)
2) food to sustain his body’s LIFE (which)
….the Life of the Body, IS BLOOD.
….the Life of the Soul, IS Gods BREATH.
3) The Food God GAVE, sat in the MIDST of the Garden God that which God PUT man IN.
4) Behold, Look, See…TWO TREES in the MIDST of the Garden.
5) MIDST, signifying a prominate placing EXPRESSLY for man to notice, see BOTH.
6) Gods VOICE elaborated ABOUT A Warning of ONE of the Tress, for man TO AVOID, IGNORE, REJECT, reaching out AND TAKING AND EATING From THAT TREE.

Offering is one thing.
Taking is one thing.
Tasting is one thing.
Spitting out is one thing.
Eating is one thing.

Who, we, us, them, our, them, they….IS expressly dependent on “IF” the individual…
Knows what the Offering IS and who has made the Offering.
(God or someone else)??

IF the individual Takes the offering.
If the individual Tastes the offering.
If the individual Tastes and Spits out the offering.
If the individual Tastes, Tastes some more, Tastes some more, and chooses to EAT the offering.

Gods Offers, Satan Offers, Men Offer…
And we, us, our, I, they, them…is riddled throughout Scripture and Applies to specific individuals.

Not every man in general READING Scripture…IS the;
SAME….We, Us, Our, I, They, Them….
Specific…God, Satan, Prophets, Tribes of Israel, Gentiles, kings, emperors, believers, unbelievers, tasting, have eaten, are with, are within are without.

When TWO men DISAGREE ON any one of those SPECIFICS….The DIVISION is established….the TWO MEN are not WE, US, OUR…the TWO MEN are Divided…
Divided ON Knowledge AND OR Knowledge AND Understanding of the Knowledge IS NOT the SAME.
One is we, us, our
One is they, them

You and I are Divided on Understanding of the Knowledge.

You repeat the Knowledge AS IF, repeating the knowledge Verifies your understanding.
It doesn’t.

Scriptural Knowledge has SOME VERY EXPRESS Teachings of Gods Word…
Those EXPRESS Teachings…are REVEALED according to the Words……DO NOT.
The Words “DO NOT”….do not PREVENT a man from exercising his FreeWILL TO DO, those things.
However Gods Word, always REVEALS the NEGATIVE Consequences for a man exercising his FreeWILL to DO, what God Expressly says to DO NOT.

Lev 26:
[1] Ye shall make you no idols nor graven image, neither rear you up a standing image, neither shall ye set up any image of stone in your land, to bow down unto it: for I am the LORD your God.

Make no idol, graven image, standing green image, set up any image, TO bow dow to it…
Do you, Have you, Does your church?

Rom 3:
[23] For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
All is inclusive of Terrestrial manKIND.
Do you believe, does your church teach, ALL Terrestrial manKIND Has sinned?

1 Corinthians 2:
[14] But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

Rom 8:
[5] For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit.
[6] For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
[7] Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.
[8] So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

I have NO issue with Scriptural knowledge and the understanding of the Scriptural knowledge of what DOES and DOES not apply to me and Expressly WHY, without an other attempting to determine the applicable FOR me.
