Seriously???

Do you realize, the term “christian” was a term FIRST “coined” BY MEN WHO DID NOT BELIEVE In Christ Jesus, TO CALL MEN WHO were FOLLOWING Jesus?

Do you realize….the suffix “IAN” denotes a FOLLOWER of a word to which the suffix is added to?
Christ…..IAN……is a follower OF Christ.

Did you FORGET, Judas Iscariot “WAS” a Follower of JESUS? And quit following Him?

Did you FORGET, Jesus was REVEAL-ED He Is the Christ?

Did you FORGET, men have Freewill, to BELIEVE as they INDIVIDUALLY choose?

Did you FORGET, men can choose to Follow Jesus, Believe Jesus is the Christ, Follow Jesus Christ…Call themselves Christians and STOP following Jesus Christ?

Did you FORGET, men can FOLLOW Jesus Christ….for a day, a year, for DECADES….and NEVER CONFESS TO THE LORD GOD, They Heartfully BELIEVE IN Him?

Seriously, have YOU NEVER sat in a Church, week after week, seen ANY same person week after week sitting in a Church, and ONE DAY that same person answer an Altar calling, and Profess his HEARTFUL Belief “IN” the Lord God, before a congregation of Witnesses?

So before that same individual Answered that altar CALL….sitting week after week in that church…..would you call him a CHRISTIAN?
Could he have called himself a CHRISTIAN?
Sure.
Was he saved or born again? No
Not until he called on the Lord and confessed his heartful Belief….AND God searched his Heart and found his confession to be True.

Yes, seriously. The term Christian, is NOT Gods requirement for any man to become Saved and Born Again.

AND BTW, there ARE men who NEVER call themselves a Christian, and are NEVER called by others A Christian….WHO ARE Sanctified, sav-ED and born again.

I know that Christians are equated to disciples of Jesus in the Bible.

What you ignore is, names and titles of men that implies or satisfies other mens ears…
IS of no matter to Gods Order and Way for any individual to Receive Gods Offering of Salvation.

No, I didn't ignore the fact that Christians are called disciples of Jesus in the Bible.

Romans 10
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
What does the phrase "unto salvation" indicate? In my ears, Paul is saying that we continue to believe and confess even to the moment of salvation.

What does salvation mean? It refers to being saved from two states of being that are related to death caused by sin. The first state is the death we cause by sinning ourselves, and the second state is the eternal damnation that we incur because of sin. Currently, we are forgiven of our own sins, and those who are in Christ are not condemned to damnation. However, we still cause "death" for others through our actions, such as wrath, anger, impatience, apathy, ingratitude, belittling, degrading, humiliating, stealing, etc.

At the Last Trump we will be changed. Not only will we experience physical change, we will experience spiritual changes such that we will no longer be the source of death for others. We will love more greatly, and more deeply. We will be kinder and more gentile. We will be courageous and defend the truth. Eternal life will be the life we experience because we are all like Jesus.

"with the mouth confession is made unto salvation"
The New Testament discusses three aspects of salvation, which are justification, sanctification, and glorification. Each of these aspects is explained in detail. Justification is a matter that is hidden from us, meaning that we cannot see it. Paul, in his letter to the Hebrews, says that the walk of faith is proof of the justification that we cannot see. Justification is a legal issue that can be compared to a judge's verdict in a court case. The question is, what is our relationship with God? Does He accept us, forgive us, and grant us His favor? If we have been justified by God, then the answer to these questions is yes; He has pardoned and forgiven us, and He will bestow His favor upon us.

Sanctification is one of the aspects of God's favor towards us. As mentioned in Romans 5 by Paul, if God provided justification for us when we were his enemies, then he will surely provide sanctification and glorification now that we are his friends. It is the Holy Spirit who works within the hearts of those who are being saved that brings about sanctification. This continuous process happens as we walk in the Lord, being led, enlightened, and spiritually and psychologically healed by the Holy Spirit. The Spirit softens our hearts and renews our minds.

Finally, we will be glorified, which will be evident after God has changed us so that we no longer sinners by nature. We will be righteous by nature and walk in the Spirit of the Lord without fail.

Given the breadth and profundity of our salvation, can we actually believe all of that takes place the moment we confess?

When I was a young guy coming of age, it occurred to me that it would be
the cat's meow if I were as naturally pleasing to God as His son Jesus always
is, because then it would be very easy to attain to Heaven and to stay in
Heaven without fear of being kicked out:

"He that sent me is with me: the Father has not left me alone; for I do always
those things that please Him." (John 8:29)

I was very surprised, and excited, upon discovering that something very
similar to the thing I wished for is contained in a promise that God made to
Moses' people.

Ezek 36:24-27 . . I will gather you up from all the nations and bring you
home again to your land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you
will be clean. Your filth will be washed away, and you will no longer worship
idols. And I will give you a new heart with new and right desires, and I will
put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony heart of sin and give you a
new, obedient heart. And I will put My spirit in you so you will obey My laws
and do whatever I command.

That benefit will make it possible for Moses' people to live with God on earth,
but it isn't sufficient for making it possible for them to live with God in
Heaven. However, there is a benefit available that makes it possible for
them to live with God wherever. It goes like this:

2Pet 1:3-4 . . His divine power has given us everything we need for life
and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory
and goodness. Through these He has given us His very great and precious
promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and
escape the corruption that's in the world.

I should think it goes without saying that the divine nature would be a whole
lots more successful at producing an acceptable level of piety than the
human nature could ever hope for because even at its best, the human
nature is corrupt; which is translated from a Greek word basically meaning
decayed, i.e. seriously deteriorated; like when road kill is left exposed to the
elements for too long.

Decay can be stopped but it can't be reversed, and therein is a serious
problem with the human nature: it's gone beyond recovery and the sensible
thing to do now is take the natural-born human nature out of a man and
rebuild him a nature that's imperious to decay. Well; it so happens God has
a surgical procedure for just that very purpose.

Col 2:11 . . In him you were also circumcised, in the putting off of the
sinful nature, not with a circumcision done by the hands of men but with the
circumcision done by Christ.

No, I didn't ignore the fact that Christians are called disciples of Jesus in the Bible.

You have been told, shown, the difference between
A Believer OF the Lord God Almighty….
and
A Heartful Confessed Believer IN the Lord God Almighty…
And
the differences they are identifiably CALLED…
And
the differences of their consequences.

If half truths, and irrelevant titles are satisfactory to you, that is your prerogative.

You USING your half truths, stubbornness and irrelevant titles against the already sanctified-ED, who are already Accomplish-ED IN Christ…also is your prerogative,

and Scripturally Warned…
God has A VERY Negative consequence for ANY who stand Against, His people, Israel, His people, of Promise.

I was drawing from many passages of scripture. But in order to keep the post shorter, I didn't bother to quote or cite everything. Do you have one thing in particular of interest or all of it?

Do as Scripture teaches, You Go search the Scriptures to SEE for yourself IF what you Hear is True or not.
When someone confesses belief in Jesus he / she is a disciple of Jesus, a Christian. It's not difficult. The thief on the cross confessed Jesus and became His disciple.

Matt 6:33 . . But seek first . . . . His righteousness,

The righteousness of God is humanly impossible to attain because He's set
the bar too high.

Rom 3:23 . . For all . . . come short of the glory of God.

In other words: God has made His own personal sinless perfection the
standard by which everyone is evaluated. Obviously then; no one among the
Jews or the Gentiles-- except for Christ --has ever, nor ever will, measure
up; not even the holiest people that one can imagine, e.g. Noah, Daniel, or
Job; and those were some very righteous guys. (Ezek 14:12-20)

The thing is: Christ's crucifixion and resurrection satisfies justice for people's
sins, and gives them a rating of innocence and exoneration that they could
never in a million years attain on their own. But if the plan of salvation were
to be wrapped at that point, they would still be short of the glory of God,
viz: the ultimate goal of salvation is God's own personal sinless perfection
which, again, is something that people could never in a million years attain
on their own.

Jer 13:23 . . Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard its spots?
Neither can you do good who are accustomed to doing evil. (cf. Rom 7:12-23)

Now with justice satisfied and out of the way by means of Christ's crucifixion
and resurrection; the supreme being is at liberty to become extremely
benevolent with a remarkable act of God that when fully completed will
equip folks with a personal sinless perfection comparable to His own.

2Pet 1:3-4 . . His divine power has given us everything we need for life
and godliness through our knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory
and goodness. Through these He has given us His very great and precious
promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature and
escape the corruption in the world caused by evil desires. (cf. Ezek 36:24-27)

All the time,
Me too.
I asked this question because I believe that our answer to the topic question will help set our expectations. When I pray for my children to be saved, what is it that I actually expect God to do for them? If, for instance, I believe that God would not interfere with our free will to save us, then I would not expect Him to violate my child's freedom to save him or her. So, what should I expect in this case?

I would HOPE beyond belief he would appear to my child so they would believe

My flesh would want him to violate there free will, But I would not expect him to. If they still say no. thats on them, But I know he will do whatever he can to convince them..

If a once truly born again believer can’t possibly go back to sin and go to hell, explain:

1. Where did God say any man ever loses his free will on this earth? (Joshua 24:15)
2. Where did God say that those He saves cannot ever go back to sin?
3. How and why are the wages of sin no longer death? (Romans 6:23)
4. Why did God separate Adam and Eve from Himself when they sinned and yet now somehow changed and keeps rebels, violators, unrepentant sinners in His kingdom? (Genesis 3:24; Malachi 3:6)
5. Explain why God is no longer just?
6. Explain why God no longer punishes sin, especially in the unrepentant? (Romans 2:6-7)
7. Explain why God is no longer holy and therefore can and will keep rebels in His holy, eternal kingdom? (Isaiah 6:3; Revelation 4:8)
8. Explain why you claim Jesus lied when He said a man can “believe” and then “fall away” if such is not possible? (Luke 8:13)
9. Explain why Christ’s apostle Paul warned all New Testament believers, namely Gentiles, that they will be “cut off” from and by God if they do not continue in His goodness? (Romans 11:20-22)
10. Explain why Jesus told the Church at Laodicea, His own people, that if they become “lukewarm,” He would reject, spue them out of His mouth? (Revelation 3:15-16)

1. Mankind lost free will when Adam fell and we inherit a sin nature because of it. All men are born lost and slaves to sin. We cannot do right in the sight of God until we are saved.

2. believers can sin! Nowhere does it say we can never sin again.

3. they still are death, but jesus paid the sin death of all our sin at the cross. when we trust in HIm, that payment (for all our sin, not just some) was applied to us.

4. Because jesus paid for all our sin. not just 99% or whatever. Alos a study in the original languages show that if someone lives as what you said in this number, they are ot saved, not if someone sins not as a way of life, but a matter of weakness.

5. He still is!

6. He does still punish sin in the unrepentant. But you must understand biblical repentance is a once for all act. After we repent we are saved forever! When we sin after we become Gods child- we must acknowledge our sin (1 JOhn 1:9) and God wipes out the temporal consequences of broken fellowship. OUr relationship is secure, but sin can break our fellowship with god.

7. God still is Holy. I would need to know how you define rebel to adequately answer you.

8. Those in Luke have no root. Using todays way of description, these are people who get all religious type of feelings but because they are not rooted in Jesus (saved) they fall away. Jesus spoke of these in Matt. 7 and 1 JOhn

10: He was speaking to a geographical church. composed of believers and unbelievers like all churches are today. Notice that teh Lukewarm, Jesus is standing outside the door and not in? This means those individuals do not have Jesus in their hearts and are unsaved!
