Rejecting God on the basis of evil and suffering

And yet, there will come a day when suffering will end, at least for the saved. The question then is, why is God allowing suffering for this finite period of time? When people ask this question, they are admitting they don't know the answer, yet they draw incomplete conclusions based on that...

    Reasons Jews Reject Jesus

Not directly but indirectly. Jesus reffered to himself as the "I AM" (Mar 14:53–14:65) just as God called himself the "I AM" in the burning bush (Exo 3:13–14). The High Priest knew what he meant, which is why he tore his clothes and called Jesus a blasphemer.

Do the Dems Really Want Biden for Pres?

Democracy goes back to ancient Greece. There's plenty examples that God intervenes in human affairs, and so do the powers of darkness.

    Reasons Jews Reject Jesus

A few off the top of my head: -He claimed to be God, which was blasphemous to the religious Jews. -He didn't come how they thought he would. They were expecting some type of military leader who would kick the Romans out. -Paul said they were blinded in part so the gentiles would be grafted in...

    What's Up With Sex?

There's nothing wrong with modesty. Some denominations are more strict in that area than others. I'm not sure how this is a negative. There's a pretty big difference there, don't you think?

Rejecting God on the basis of evil and suffering

I've been thinking about the argument some atheists have about not believing in God because of the existance of evil and suffering in the world. That argument has been addressed before, and there are many possible resolutions. But really, it's not a good argument for rejecting the existence of...

You can become more like God via theosis/divinization and man inherited death, not sin

How do you suppose Christianity would have spread without the Bible? Through word of mouth alone? That doesn't seem likey. There is a saying: The Old Testament is the New Testament concealed; the New Testament is the Old Testament revealed. It's been said that one-third of the New Testament...

    What's Up With Sex?

I believe that is God's intent but sometimes it doesn't work out that way. Is it? We are taught that sex outside of the sacrament is evil, not sex itself. How so?

    can demons work for god?

Just to answer your direction question, I don't believe so. If anything, they work for Satan. But can God use demons and fallen angels for a greater good? I think so. God allowed Satan to attack Job to prove a point. It's not that Satan was working for God per se, but God can used his own evil...

Joe is on his first campaign right now....

He's too stubborn to quit on his own, plus he feels protected in the president's seat. He will have to be forced out and Dems will be the ones doing it.

Please Help Me. I Am Fighting For The Soul Of My Grand-Niece.

Hugh Ross believes in micro evolution but not in macro evolution, which is Darwinian evolution.

Please Help Me. I Am Fighting For The Soul Of My Grand-Niece.

Hello, a few thoughts... That is a contradiction in terms. An agnostic doesn't know if there is a God or not. A deist believes there is a God but doesn't believe He is involved in human affairs. I would ask her, If we came from monkeys, then why didn't monkeys evolve? For all the supposed...

    Carbon-14 and fossil dating

Carbon-14 dating seems less reliable the further back you go. It presumes that the rate of decay has always been constant, which we don't know for certain. Regardless, there are environmental factors that can throw off the results.

Unsure if its consequences or a test

This is just part of the trials and tribulations of this life. In other words, stuff happens.

    Dementia and a Trump-Biden Debate

I didn't think he would, either. I was wrong on that. I looked back at the 2020 debate, and Biden's decline is evident in just four years. There's a pretty big consensus on both sides that Biden did poorly, although I think they are setting the stage for a switcheroo. Every time I start to...

    Is Ignorance Bliss?

I've heard this argument before. A large degree depends on how God judges those who have died in ignorance, which is largely obscure. There's only two things God can judge someone on who died in ignorance: how much they knew and how they responded to it. Paul teaches that God is revealed in...

Why God chose to reveal himself in the masculine

I don't think it's that. Even Jesus referred to God as the Father. Either we take Jesus' words at face value or we don't. True, a spirit is genderless, but for whatever reason, God has chosen to embody the masculine form.

    Tulsi Gabbard

There's a reason why he never left D.C. Obama has been conducting a shadow government since Trump came into office, and he's still at it.
