Modern Scholars Spreading Doubts About the Bible's Reliability: Moses and the Pentateuch

Scholars... Man's "wisdom" is foolishness before God.

    Was Noah's flood global?

Genesis 11:19-20 19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly on the earth, and all the high hills under the whole heaven were covered. 20 The waters prevailed fifteen cubits upward, and the mountains were covered. Nope, it says mountains. Thus if it were a localized area, from the outside you'd see...

    Was Noah's flood global?

I believe there was just one large land mass in Noah's time. My personal theory is that God separates the continents while the Earth was flooded. The colossal earthquakes that would result wouldn't affect anyone then. Again-- just a personal theory.

    Was Noah's flood global?

AMEN! Ecumenism is straight out of Satan's playbook -- dilute the Gospel until it means nothing to no one.

    Was Noah's flood global?

I'm not good at doing links, but if you Google Ringwoodite Oceans 2023 you will find several articles.

    When is the last day?

As I will be living with Christ forever, I won't have a last day.

    Was Noah's flood global?

Also: Genesis 7:20 KJV Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered. So, basically, the highest mountains were under about 23 feet of water.

    Was Noah's flood global?

Excellent point about Ararat. The question then becomes, "Where did all that water come from and where did it all go?" (Interestingly, I just finished reading an article about the following 20 minutes ago) Well, a recent scientific discovery may just answer that. Scientists have discovered a...

Why are Bible scholars leaving Christianity?

The narrow path is to love God and reject the world. Too many people are too wrapped up in the world and do not want to let go of their worldly pleasures and interests. "A man cannot serve two masters."

Only if you play it backwards ;)

    Religious Delusions?

Wow. Go figure. Seriously, tho, your experience is why I don't dismiss things out of hand. Certainly nothing that goes against scripture-- quite the opposite in fact. God answers prayer! And, interestingly, figs are mentioned many times in the Bible.

    Religious Delusions?

    AMEN.

    Religious Delusions?

I don't necessarily reject them out of hand, but I do filter them thru scripture, which weeds out most. In my experience, people who use those phrases, more often than not, are a) trying to justify doing something not supported by scripture and b) trying to cut off discussion on the topic. My...

Attributes of God and Related Issues 2

God's creation, God's rules. And you hit the nail on the head there at the end. The absolute and unmitigated arrogance of people to presume to sit in judgment on God, and by pitiful human standards no less -- as if He should've consulted with them first. What a completely absurd farce.

Which Existed First, The Almighty God or The Holy Scriptures?

If God did not already exist to formulate His scripture, there would be no scripture.

    The Truth about Christ's Sacrifice

It seems like 2 distinctly separate events are being combined into one here. The first event: Christ's sacrifice, as one who was perfect and without sin, satisfied the penalty of sin under the law for us for all time. As a result we have salvation through Him. The second event: In the act of...

Do not pass judgement on One another

It's a difference of being discerning vs passing judgment. As sinners, we have no leg to stand on in judging others' sins. Only God, who is absolute holiness and purity, is able to judge us. That said, we are to be discerning in our lives over who we listen to, who we support, etc.

Is the Great White Throne Judgment a CELEBRATION?

Those whose names are not found in the Book of Life certainly won't be celebrating... so it's going to be a 'no' from me.
