    The Apostleship Of Paul...

    3. Matthias was chosen after the remaining 11 prayed to the Lord to indicate His choice as a replacement. And, as Ronald posted, Paul was later appointed by God as Apostle to the gentiles.

    10 Questions about Eternal Security

Titus 3:4-6 4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 Which he shed on us abundantly through...

    My take on original sin

It also should be noted that Melchizedek preceded the Levitical order. As such, Christ as High Priest supersedes the Levitical priesthood.

Why did God punish Cain and Onan so differently?

I believe it all boils down to what God says in Exodus: "I will show mercy on whom I will show mercy" Besides, at that moment Cain was the only other man on earth besides his father; while with Onan, God had other options available.

    about Suicide

How about we look at the entire verse, eh? Roman's 6:23 For the wages of sin is death but the GIFT from God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Gift from God is what God has chosen to give us solely of His grace and mercy. There is not even one thing we can do to earn it. It is...

    about Suicide

The same way a person who takes the Lord's name in vain immediately before being hit by a bus, I'd imagine.

You Better Know Your Bible When You Come Here

Definitely. Come correct or hit the bricks. No one here's got time for people's false doctrine.

Did Jesus die the Second Death?

Short answer- no. Long answer- given that sin is defined as disobedience toward God, I just can't see God disobeying Himself.

God's cup of wrath - Bible Study 4 Pages (Completed.)

It's interesting to note as reference that, during the time of Christ and also when John wrote Revelation, wine was the standard drink at meals and so forth. This was primarily due to the lack of water sanitization at the time. However, not wanting to be sloshed all day, the wine was diluted...

The 1000 year Millennium from the Bible

Revelation 19:19-20 19 I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to wage war against the rider on the horse and his army. 20 But the beast was captured, and with it the false prophet who had performed the signs on its behalf. With these signs he had deluded...

The 1000 year Millennium from the Bible

Incorrect. The lake of fire exists at the end of the Great Tribulation. The Beast (Antichrist) and the False Prophet its first two occupants - thrown in when Christ returns to begin His rule. Satan joins them 1000 years later after his rebellion is crushed at the end of the Millennium, and the...

If our interpretation of scripture sidesteps common sense, did we get it right?

I should've said sin rather than evil. That said, my conclusion is based off of His absolute holiness. His plan and His timeline are His own -- He certainly doesn't need to answer to me for them. I do not presume to sit in judgment on God over how HE runs HIS creation -- or for any other...

If our interpretation of scripture sidesteps common sense, did we get it right?

God is merciful and loving, yes, but He is also absolute holiness and absolute purity. By that very nature He cannot allow evil to exist indefinitely nor can he allow those not made pure by the blood of the Lamb -- those who willing defy and reject the Lord -- to go unpunished.

    No. just... no.

    Are Tarot cards okay?

You mention casting lots in Acts 1. It is worth noting the context here: Acts 1:24-25 24 Then they prayed, “Lord, you know everyone’s heart. Show us which of these two you have chosen 25 to take over this apostolic ministry, which Judas left to go where he belongs.” In this specific instance...

Is The Last Temptation of Christ worth watching?

No. There is nothing to be gained spiritually by watching this. Nothing but speculation by people who haven't the first clue as to what they're talking about -- they are not nor will ever be gods so they have absolutely no frame of reference with which to posit Christ's thoughts. It is, at the...

    Are Tarot cards okay?

I would no more keep tarot cards or ouija boards in my home than I would a live bomb. Just a disaster waiting to happen.

Powerful post. Go with God, my brother.

Does Jesus Christ elevate our Guilt from past mistakes if we allow him?

This is the key right here. As far as Christ is concerned, they're forgiven and forgotten. Satan, however, will use anything he can to drive a wedge between us and Christ and place a stumbling block in our path -- and dredging up guilt over old sins is right in his wheelhouse. IN THE NAME OF THE...
