    Christian Denomination Differences

Odd that, as knowledgeable as you claim to be, you don't know why. We do good works after salvation because - The saying is trustworthy, and I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed in God may be careful to devote themselves to good works. These things are...

    Christian Denomination Differences

Ah. Catholic. I'm a believer indwelt by the Holy Spirit, Mary. Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? 1 Cor 3:16 As such - As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His...

    Christian Denomination Differences

So much for trying to get you to think for yourself, but ok. There is one thing only that will send a person to Hell. Not receiving Christ.

    Christian Denomination Differences

These? The ones I referenced saying I don't follow them?

    Christian Denomination Differences

Let's pretend you've passed away (peacefully) :) and you're standing at the gate of heaven and you're asked why you should be allowed to enter. What's your answer?

    Christian Denomination Differences

Who said the same thing as I did and who am I "exactly" like? Well, Patient Mary, I told you already - I can't answer for what Methodists or Lutherans, etc., believe or preach. I find a church whose statement of faith is scriptural - based on doctrine found in the bible - and go there. I've...

    Christian Denomination Differences

I can't speak for "protestant denominations" because I don't follow one. I don't follow Wesley, Luther, etc., I follow Christ. Ask yourself what will keep you out of hell, eternal separation from God? His Son. God sent His only Son to die for us and I quoted John 3:16 above - ...whosoever...

    Christian Denomination Differences

Except for the saved by faith alone, which is scriptural, where did I say any of the other stuff was biblical? Where are you getting that I said anything about any of this? Works based salvation is not biblical. For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is...

The Difference Between Fundamentalist (SOME) and The Rest Of Us.

Taking all scripture literally is a bit dangerous, since not all scripture is literal. There's the poetic, the allegory, the visionary (e.g., Revelation), parables, all manner of figures of speech. I do agree completely on the self-righteousness; dangerous ground to be on. Nobody knows...

    Christian Denomination Differences

This is what happens when people take verses at face value and out of context.

The Difference Between Fundamentalist (SOME) and The Rest Of Us.

Like the poster above, I'd like to know your definition of 'fundamentalist'. fyi we aren't under the "law" anymore, and it was given to Israel anyway. That being said - just because we're under grace, does that mean we continue to sin? May it never be! <Romans 6) I'm a born-again Christian...

    Christian Denomination Differences

First, could you tell me what you consider the "2-4 branches" of Christian denominations? Paul tells the church in Galatia (chpt 1:6-8) I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— not that there is another...

Once Saved Always Saved Garbage Teaching!!

I thought the verses he quoted in the first place, the ones I copied, were pretty obvious on the difference between a person who's saved and one who's not.

Thank you, can't take credit though lol! I just copied what he wrote. These things are right in front of them, but the enemy has blinded people for sure. Yeah....the title isn't good. Hopefully we can help someone, even one person, see the Truth. Thanks, again :)

Once Saved Always Saved Garbage Teaching!!

1 John 3:7 Little children, make sure no one deceives you; the one who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous; ^^^ saved 1 John 3:8 the one who practices sin is of the devil; for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God appeared for this purpose, to...

Does he believe he is God?

Given the verses you're quoting it looks like you're trying to say he's claiming to be the one Daniel spoke of. I haven't seen the article you're referring to so am leaving the thread now.

Does he believe he is God?

No, but you're talking about him and one who will "stand in the temple showing himself that he is God." That's not the King of the North, either. That's the antichrist. So who, exactly, are you talking about? The one the antichrist will inhabit is.

Does he believe he is God?

The body of believers is the church - Col 1:18 And he is the head of the body, the church... The reason our body is called the temple is because believers are indwelt by the Holy Spirit - 1 Cor 6:19-20 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have...

Is there salvation outside the Catholic Church?

To the RCC it sure has, so I like to point out whenever I can that the word catholic (among many other things) doesn't mean what they think it does. Yes, wheat and tares everywhere - not everyone who claims to be a Christian is a Christian.
