22 major reasons to abandon the Premil doctrine

Think symbolic Sis when reading Revelation, otherwise you are doomed into becoming a premil pillar of wood.

22 major reasons to abandon the Premil doctrine

So, how are we going to treat Revelation 17:12? Literally or symbolically? "And the ten horns that you saw are ten kings who have not yet received royal power, but they are to receive authority as kings for one hour, together with the beast."

22 major reasons to abandon the Premil doctrine

Revelation draws some of its imagery from the ancient Hebrew calendar.

22 major reasons to abandon the Premil doctrine

That is because Premillers of all stripes conflate the 'time, times and half a time' (mentioned in Revelation) with the last half of the 70th week. (mentioned Daniel 9) Then they say a countdown could recommence from when an abomination is set up in a rebuilt temple. This line of thinking has...

    the real danger of Amillism

Not me Randy. There is only one covenant now and that is the ’New Covenant’, and my prayer is that the Jews find it. Why can’t we simply interpret Romans 11 as a prophesied New Covenant revival similar to some of the great revival‘s God has bestowed on various Gentile nations over history?

What was the date of the Crucifixion?

Agreed, and tick for your post #186 too, except a small part I'll get back to you about. As for the various theories concerning when Passover best fitted the Crucifixion, I wrote a paper on Academia.edu which you may like. Scroll down to 'The Moon and New Testament Passover dates.' Download...

What was the date of the Crucifixion?

I sure am glad you’re not endorsing. Take for example the middle picture. (post #312) The statue has a gap from it’s ankles down, then suddenly grows a pair of feet after 2000 years.

25 questions that prove that ancient Chiliasm was a different animal to modern Premil

I seem to recall the Montanists being akin to the Irvingites. If that's the case, they would have been early dispensationalists. But its a long time since I studied Church history. Keep going bro.

25 questions that prove that ancient Chiliasm was a different animal to modern Premil

Tertullian had a bit to do with the Montanists I think. Were the they Chilliast or full blown Premil?

25 questions that prove that ancient Chiliasm was a different animal to modern Premil

Pertinent questions Paul  but can you tell us why you quote AD 240 and AD 270. That was in the middle of the Imperial persecutions. How are they related to your subject?

What was the date of the Crucifixion?

But scripture has plenty to say about moons, especially new moon in the first month, Nisan. A lunar month is 29.5 days and full moon is slap bang in the middle. Now, a little arithmetic for you The Light. Divide 29.5 and tell me which day of Passover month is it?
