Paul claimed 3 times that Revelation 20:4 was a current reality.

So, our 'born-again' experience is the first resurrection? What about our 'go to heaven' experience? Is that a part of the first resurrection?

Paul claimed 3 times that Revelation 20:4 was a current reality.

Hmmm, you’re right. I envision the Church on earth as an outpost of the heavenly Kingdom, so in that sense we are reigning here now like you say. But, getting back to the last part of verse 4: “They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.” How are you interpreting, “They came to...

Paul claimed 3 times that Revelation 20:4 was a current reality.

When I read Rev. 20:4 it means, IMO, that those reigning are the martyrs and believers who have died and gone to heaven. (The first resurrection) Yes?

Paul claimed 3 times that Revelation 20:4 was a current reality.

I’ve just come over here when I realised ewq’s stunt.

Paul never claimed Revelation 20:4 was a current reality

I’m going back to the original thread because ewq deliberately duplicated in order to detract from what was being said there.

Paul never claimed Revelation 20:4 was a current reality

They are not Preterist. We have explained this often.

    5 Devotionals from 5 Loaves.

Here is my 5th and last of five devotionals in the thread. ‘North to East.’ Perhaps I've got too vivid an imagination; but when I read this verse I see a man lurching – not exactly forwards and not exactly sideways either. He is sort of staggering along the highway half forward and half...

The end nigh – literally – please pray.

Thanks friends. I’ve still got a bit of kick left in me, but towards the end of the day my buddy was having to pull me up the bank. (lol) I’m on a trial with Pfizer. It’s better than chemo. I’ll be good for when the grandkids come over from Aus. this Christmas. Isn‘t it wonderful being a...

The end nigh – literally – please pray.

I’m back! The retreat is called ‘Reel Recovery’ and originally started in the US. It’s free and supported by volunteers. I highly recommend it for men with cancer. Give yourselves a wonderful break. During the day we fish with a buddy whose job it is to teach fly casting, and to hold you up...

22 major reasons to abandon the Premil doctrine

Yes, The Coming Prince, by Sir Robert Anderson, published 1895. I have it and read it. Seriously flawed. For example his 360-day-year begins on Nisan 1st, BC 445. But Nehemiah does not mention the day. Also the year is wrong. Also, Sir Robert's 'Prince' is Antichrist. I appeal to you to reject...

22 major reasons to abandon the Premil doctrine

I don't attempt to have the last word, even when dealing with ignorant and self-declared champions of truth. As for these men. They are my friends - not followers. I respect them as they respect me.

22 major reasons to abandon the Premil doctrine

A bit like a bank manager who gives a 2000 year gap in our mortgage payments. We wanna know. ;)

The end nigh – literally – please pray.

Hi fellow endtimers, I’m sitting outside in my room at a cancer patients retreat on the beautiful Tongariro River. (google) We went fishing this morning and tonight after tea will be another time of conversation about our condition. Last night was hard to hear the stories of some of these guys...

25 questions that prove that ancient Chiliasm was a different animal to modern Premil

Hey, hey. You are conflating Amil with Post mill. Amil doesn't say these things that you quote. Yes, we believe in the advancing kingdom of God, but all of us (not just me) acknowledge a short season of falling away at the end of the present millennium. In fact, some of us consider 'Satan's...

22 major reasons to abandon the Premil doctrine

We were talking about symbolic calendar times and I referred to the “one hour” that the kings reigned. (not the kings themselves) So, what I mean is this: A “time, times and half a time” represents a short period of time. “One hour” represents an even shorter period of time. The times in the...
