    Run AWAY from Calvinism!

13 I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life. This is all written to Christians who already had faith. What it tells us is simply: believe and you will have eternal life. It's so strange how some want to warp the plain...

    Run AWAY from Calvinism!

Scripture is full of confirmations that we can choose God. If I have no free will, nothing I do matters anyway. That would be God playing a game of solitaire and we would be just pieces being moved around irresistibly. That's pagan philosophy. It's commonly called fate.

    Run AWAY from Calvinism!

No, read my lips, "I don't believe in irresistible grace." That's got absolutely nothing to do with whether God is sovereign. The question is, does he irresistibly cause you to believe or allow free will?

    Run AWAY from Calvinism!

Guitars are the debil! :) I suspect Jesus enjoys some good guitar music from time to time.

    Run AWAY from Calvinism!

I don't have that problem because I don't believe in irresistible grace.

    Run AWAY from Calvinism!

Oh, I loved it. But I grew up among the " Holy rollers." I'm quite reserved myself, but my feet don't stay still.

    Run AWAY from Calvinism!

Finding quotes from Calvin is easy enough. "We also note that we should consider the creation of the world so that we may realize that everything is subject to God and ruled by his will and that when the world has done what it may, nothing happens other than what God decrees.”[1] (emphasis...

    Run AWAY from Calvinism!

I don't even know what 0PC is. I've been to a holiness pentecostal service, just as a drop in. It was a good time but a little wild.

    Run AWAY from Calvinism!

All but the gibberish is fine. Make a joyful noise unto the Lord!

    Run AWAY from Calvinism!

Nothing wrong with being a charismatic.

    Run AWAY from Calvinism!

You better pray you are .. and God's not just messing with you. Because that's a possibility according to Calvin.

    Run AWAY from Calvinism!

What? How does that fit into Calvinism? In Calvinism, God irresistibly saves you forever or he doesn't. There's no fight.

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

I understand how someone can cherry pick verses to make the Bible says things it doesn't actually teach when you read it in context. So... you believe that God ordained all sin, correct? You do realize that the Bible says God hates sin, right? "There are six things that the Lord hates, seven...

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

When Calvinists have no rebuttal, they often resort to some kind of silliness.

If OSAS is false, then what?

I think only God knows where one's soul is. But there are clues. Is he repentant? If you are going to be a Calvinist, you need to read what Luther said about that sort of thing. Arminians, ( not Armenians) do believe you can toss your salvation by falling away.

    Not.

Oh, good grief! The schizophrenia God!

If OSAS is false, then what?

    Impossible.
  19. R

If OSAS is false, then what?

Actually that's just the opposite... I've found the Calvinists and OSAS tend to think that way. And it's true, sin doesn't cause loss of salvation, unless it's unbelief. Of course in Calvinism, nothing can cause loss of salvation.

If OSAS is false, then what?

They are conditional promises. They are only for believers...not former believers.
