when i suggested living like a Jew, like Jesus, obeying the law, you said your a non Jew. what were you implying by this statement?

where do you come up with such nonsense ?
I know that I am answering your questions to another person; so consider the answers that I give to be my answers.
I know of people who have done so.
The obvious answer to this is that we walk as Christ walked when we bear the fruit of His Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23).
See also 1 John 2:6.
I can't answer for @jaybird; but for my own self, I believe that I can be confident that I bear the following:
Gal 5:22, But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,
Gal 5:23, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
Christophany...meet jbf.I see it on forums (antinomianism) and have no idea if they are just trolling like the sinless perfectionists on the other end of the spectrum are trolling.
We don't any longer need to obey it
Which is why folk such as jaybird are confused.Christophany...meet jbf.
he should be as jfb is a modalist not a trinitarian.Which is why folk such as jaybird are confused.
Again, I am no modalist but I am a true Trinitarian; however you have fallen for Tritheism in guise of the Trinity.he should be as jfb is a modalist not a trinitarian.

instead of sleepless in Seattle its clueless in Seattle. someone doesn't know the difference between modalism, trinitarianism and tritheism.
truly sad.
And you walk the walk in what way?Peter walked on water. but according to you thats the wrong example. all things are possible with the faith that Jesus taught, but when you talk the talk and dont walk the walk its futile
Not really. You described accurately how we are to obey, but I believe you, and many others here, are wrong in that they claim we are not obligated to obey. How can it be that we are not obliged to obey God when our first parents lost Eden through disobedience, Jesus died because of disobedience, and Jesus rose in order to empower us to obedience? Obedience has never been just one option among many.@Backlit, you obviously didn't read the rest...or you would have realized that it was catering to your pov.
Salvation (life) while in active rebellion is what the arch rebel desires and his persuasive power has not diminished. The great word 'love' is the catch cry of all misfits, (dare I use the word) from new age to charismatic movements including 'christians'. It is flung around like the great elixir without understanding that love is action that costs....not trumpeting..... which is no more than lip service. Not really. You said it. And you quoted scripture. Can scripture be broken? So, do you believe that if we disobey on one point, that we are then condemned eternally for our disobedience?
Because that is the alternative to our point that we are not obligated to obey...that we are in fact obligated.
If we are in fact obligated, then Galatians 3:10 kicks in...which isn't a pretty picture, because Galatians 6:13 is a reality.
Of course, Galatians 3:10 has Galatians 3:11-13 as its immediate context; Romans 6:14 as its topical context. You said it. And you quoted scripture. Can scripture be broken?
So you don't, then?few do today because so many are teaching not to follow the example of Jesus.
I never even heard of modalism until I read here in one of your posts. I looked up the definition and it's peculiar, but though I believe in the doctrine of 3 distinct persons my brain doesn't distinguish between them. I don't commonly pray to the Holy Spirit, but generally to the Father, yet I think of my fellowship with the Holy Spirit in the word as fellowship with Jesus. I'm not able to separate them at all in my mind, so perhaps I'm a modalist more than a trinitarian. To be honest, I believe that such classifications were created by men in disagreement with each other so that they could toss a brothers opinion into a bin with a label to justify disregarding them. I recall someone once labeling me a calvinist though I knew absolutely nothing about John Calvin beyond his name. It's nice to have these handy categories. I'll bet that the Lord gets a good laugh about it, but given my experience with people in the church and in the world, I can't say that I've met two people on the planet that believe all the same things or are in complete agreement about anything.instead of sleepless in Seattle its clueless in Seattle. someone doesn't know the difference between modalism, trinitarianism and tritheism.
