There is not much left for me to unlearn. I feel confident of knowing only one thing for sure. The rest? Who knows? They could be like spots on a mirror obscuring the view so I see as through a glass darkly.

My opinion of you is changing however, but I'll remain mum on that, at least for now.

Actually, we may be more on topic than many suppose. Eve was not content with not knowing. She did so long to be as wise as God. How many theologians read that in Genesis and say, "Maybe I should stop what I'm doing." No, they skip the lesson and go on. Then they spin theories about God as if they know what they're talking about.

We do not become perfect and sinless though the intellect alone. Indeed that path is a path in the wrong direction, one of vanity. Have faith in God that He has provided us everything we need. Be like the lilies of the field. God will take of you if you are like the lilies of the field. If you are a lily, do you need to understand what the sun is and how light works and how chlorophyll works? Or do you just praise God for having roots in the dirt and for being provided light, air and water?

Deuteronomy 29:29 The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

If only Eve had accepted the fact that there are secret things which belong to God. . . . She may have found He revealed some of them to her later if she had done what she had been advised to do.
I guess that leaves Satan, Adam and Eve off the hook.

Some angels will change sides. You can even call them "gods" if you like. In the end, many of the fallen angels (or gods) will be restored to their proper positions after they repent.

Micah 4:5 For all people will walk every one in the name of his god, and we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever.
I fear there is a great gulf fixed between us in faith and practice. You know I'm holding back a lot--I'm new here. I have many things to say...

And yet, because of the relaxed atmosphere here, I've been able to gain respect/regard for many people here, including yourself.

The Bible is an awfully voluminous work. I suppose it's possible you don't view the Canon as being divinely guided.

No proof of God in a test tube, BByrd. Emperical evidence for God Himself doesn't exist, and He is the Arbiter of truth. If we're talking basic apologetics, I confess I've got one foot in the presuppositional camp.
ive been railing against it for a while now, but ive never actually applied myself to the problem
there must be some absolute truth, practically speaking
water ice is always at least 32 degrees or something...
ha seems like, huh

contemplate you killing Christ (in you) all by yourself, that day long ago maybe
you might even recall when if you marinate on it long enough
Christ died when i killed Him

hey do you know its possible to go back to the day you first recognized your "self" in a mirror?

Think about how easily even that could change, even if it resulted in the death of millions. No God in a test tube.

The temperature at which water freezes
and how did the millions die, again?

but yeh really we seek absolute "spiritual" truths i think eh
but i dont think you can state any

its just a weird thing about truth imo; its a moving target

satan is a liar and the father of lies, but one cant Quote him technically lying, either, i dont think anyway
they're always like half truths?

Embrace the paradoxical nature of Scripture, and your head won't ache nearly as much (if I'm reading you right).

ah, i love it personally

but coming from the hegelian to the naive dialectic is work imo
many passages that just dont seem to fit any model
almost on purpose it seems
(pretty sure this has been remarked upon at large somewhere on the web
pretty interesting if i remember right)
