Absolutely!!! It would be abhorrent to me to think that we should have any inherent advantage over them. In that case, the game would have been fixed and that seems impossible, doesn't it? What will keep us from falling is the same thing that keeps the unfallen angels from falling. The plan of salvation was revealed to the angels from the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8). They have been working for our benefit ever since. The fallen angels had witnessed for ages the glory of God in very close proximity and were therefore without excuse for their rebellion. Adam and Eve's rebellion took them captive under very quick and deceitful circumstances, so they were granted a further probation period.Is it your thinking that when we are in our resurrection bodies, with our new creation spirit, that we will be the same as Adam and Eve were?
Much love!
The pluralism that exists in post-modern Christendom seems to entertain any number of hypotheses as "truth."Not if we're Godly. What else is there but absolute truth!? Unless we are talking atheists, no absolute truth from their point of view.
While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.ha so then state an absolute truth for us real quick lol :)
No sarcasm was ever intended. I was merely giving the option as I saw it. A sentient being who has no choice but to obey God has no free will and is therefore an automaton (like a robot).
The corruptible will put on incorruptible. Does that not show a difference?Absolutely!!! It would be abhorrent to me to think that we should have any inherent advantage over them.
We dont need to know big words Just christDidn't Christ also have to be resurrected and ascend to His father to accomplish our redemption? So something was indeed finished when He died but apparently it wasn't the atonement process. Eschatology and Soteriology have different names for a reason.

I knew this objection would come up. I believe the incorruptible refers to the physical.The corruptible will put on incorruptible. Does that not show a difference?

I do too.I knew this objection would come up. I believe the incorruptible refers to the physical.
I find that having single words to express lengthy terms can be quite handy. You're free to look them up or ignore, etc. Don't hate me because I use a big word now and then. ;)We dont need to know big words Just christ
Amen, Sister!!! :)What I find appalling is the fact that false doctrines have become Orthodox, and the Truth found in His word has become heresy!
Isaiah 5:20
Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil;
Who put darkness for light, and light for darkness;
Who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!
Hate nah, Jesus never needed to use big words, He had no one to impress. Jesus spoke plain and simple, you will never find Jesus telling anyone to exegete this or that, for Him its imply, this is the way it is, take it or leave it.I find that having single words to express lengthy terms can be quite handy. I ve yet to read any scripture that suggests to me there will be a physical return.Absolutely!!! It would be abhorrent to me to think that we should have any inherent advantage over them. The blood of Christ is the eternal antidote for sin. It is a contingency brought about by Lucifer's self-deception EDIT> and his exile to the earth <EDIT. Of course, God foresaw it. But it needn't have ever happened. Only angels and man can be blamed for the entrance of sin into God's perfect creation.
Atonement does 3 things for mankind, all by divine authority. It first justifies, or accounts us righteous before God. It also sanctifies, or transforms our character/behavior. Finally, it glorifies, or transforms our physical condition from either death or, in the case of those who are alive at the time of parousia (Christ's 2nd physical coming), from sickly, corruptible bodies into those like Adam and Eve had before their fall. These 3 things have countless ramifications and sub-categories, of course.
Perfect, sinless nature failed in Heaven with Lucifer and his deceived host. It also failed with the Edenic pair. But with the testimony of what sin cost the only begotten Sovereign of the universe, the Lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world--the scars that Thomas demanded upon Christ's resurrection--the power of the Antidote will be fully effective forever.
To ascribe the prevention of sin in eternity future as being the knowledge of Christ and Him crucified just seems perfectly natural and reasonable to me.
Yeah, I really, really love that about Him. But with Paul in the Canon of Scripture, the big words come out with both barrels. Whaddya gonna do? :)Hate nah, Jesus never needed to use big words, He had no one to impress. I'll bet you have. You just subscribe to an alternative interpretation.I ve yet to read any scripture that suggests to me there will be a physical return.
