And so you think you know what a spiritual “invisible church” looks like? FYI, the invisible church of Christ consists of those whose sins He redeemed since Pentecost (Matthew 1:21). And you know who they are? Amazing.
The city on a hill of Matthew 5:14-16 is NOT a church!!! They are those who glorify the Father by their good works...etc Only God’s children will glorify the Father and NEVER the Apostate Catholic Church.
WRONG.
Matt. 5 begins with
The Beatitudes. Jesus
specifically says:
Matt. 5:11
Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you and utter every kind of evil against you falsely because of ME.
When Jesus
continues His teaching, He is speaking to the
SAME crowd when He says:
Matt. 5:13
YOU are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its taste, with what can it be seasoned? It is no longer good for anything but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot. YOU are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden.
This
"city on a hill" are
HIS FOLLOWERS, Einstein.
You know -
CHRISTIANS.
This
"invisible Church" is
YOUR invention and has
NO place in the
Bible . . .
Says you and the CC. In fact, the Bible was written when God told Moses and Jeremiah to write a book (Bible) and by other writers which were completed by John at the end of Revelation. The gall of your church to claim that what God has done.
The audacity of men and a church to pat themselves on the back and to take away the glory that belongs to God! You have no idea what you people are talking about. I throw this back at you... Do your HOMEWORK!!!
God is the Author of the Bible and dictated the words He wanted to convey to mankind through His Prophets and Apostles, as stated in 2 Peter 1:21.
To God Be The Glory
Time for a
History lesson . . .
Let's start with a
promise fro
Christ to His
Church:
John 16:12-15
“I have much more to tell you, but you cannot bear it now.
But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, HE WILL GUIDE YOU TO ALL TRUTH. He will not speak on his own, but he will speak what he hears, and will declare to YOU the things that are coming.
He will glorify me, because he will TAKE from what is MINE and declare it to YOU.
Everything that the Father has is MINE; for this reason I told you that he will TAKE from what is MINE and declare it to YOU.
During a period of
37 years at the end of the
4th and the turn of the
5th century, the Canon of Scripture was
formally declared and confirmed
FIVE times. It is the
same canon of Scripture that was around during the
Protestant Revolt and that is
still in use today by the Catholic Church. It was during the
Protestant Revolt in the
16th century and subsequent periods that
rebellious, prideful men had
problems with the canon and decided for themselves that some of the books were
"uninspired".
Luther wanted to
remove several books including
Hebrews, James, Jude and
Revelation.
Calvin and
Zwingli did not believe
Revelation to be inspired and wanted to remove it as well.
- The
Synod of Rome (382) is where the canon was first
formally identified under the guidance of the
Holy Spirit.
- It was
confirmed at the
Synod of Hippo eleven years later
(393).
- At the
Council (or Synod) of Carthage (397), it was yet again confirmed. The bishops wrote at the end of their document,
"But let Church beyond sea (Rome) be consulted about confirming this canon". There were 44 bishops, including St. Augustine who signed the document.
- 7 years later, in
405, in a letter from
Pope Innocent I to Exsuperius, Bishop of Toulouse, he reiterated the canon.
- 14 years after that, at the
2nd Council (Synod) of Carthage (419) the canon was
again formally confirmed.
The Canon of Scripture was
officially closed at the
Council of Trent in the
16th century because of the
perversions happening within
Protestantism and the random
editing and
deleting of books from the Canon.
Them's the
facts of history, sparky . . .
