How is that?

LoveYeshua said:
Paul here is saying that the Law acted as a "guardian" until Christ came. After Christ’s coming,
believers are no longer under the Law in the same way because they are justified by faith.
This suggests a transition from being under the Law to being under grace through faith,
which some interpret as the Law being "ended" or no longer applicable in its previous form.

Have you not read?
"So the law was our guardian until Christ came that we might be justified by faith.
Now that this faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian. Galatians 3:24-25

That was not meant to be a put down.
But, as a correction.
So, you (and others) can be built you up in the Word, and in turn, become benefitted.

That does not mean we are not to learn anything from the Law pertaining to certain principles of God.
For, ALL SCRIPTURE is for our benefit. That includes the OT Law.
Just, no longer to be applied in the same way for the Church age.

"All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." 2 Timothy 3:16-17

grace and peace ................
How ia that? He added the church is not under the Law in the same way! That means he declares the church is under the 10 in some way and sorry but Paul condemned that in Galatians. And it is not guardian.,but a pedagogue which is far more than a mere guardian.

And yes we can learn much from the OT but it does not mean we are under the same laws as the OT are with the exception of 2.

Only a fool would believe the we are Under the Law !

But the Law still exsist regardless ! tho under Grace ! that's a huge diffrence !
But a carnal even a carnal religious would only make a claim that the Law is as under the OT was for.

Remember Grace covers all !
If one has not Grace then one is not a Saved Christian in fact !

Who rejects the OT Commandments ? Satan !

Is their no value in the OT Commandments ? what about the first one ? Oh boy only Satan would reject that in fact ! then look at the rest of them, I do not see anything wrong with all such at all !

Could anyone point out just one that you have an issue with !

You are not under the Law today.
In what way do you think you are?

Look Ronald, God did give a definition of the covenant; Deu 4:13 He declared to you His covenant, which He commanded you to follow—the Ten Commandments that He wrote on two tablets of stone.

Later prophet Jeremiah did give the definition of the new covenant and why it was given;

Jer 31:31 Behold, the days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah.
Jer 31:32 It will not be like the covenant I made with their fathers when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt— a covenant they broke, though I was a husband to them,” declares the LORD.
Jer 31:33 But this is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the LORD. I will put My law in their minds and inscribe it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they will be My people.
Jer 31:34 No longer will each man teach his neighbor or his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ because they will all know Me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquities and will remember their sins no more.”

Paul was quoting this in Hebrews 8:8-12

this says ; I will put My law in their minds and inscribe it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they will be My people.

where does it say the laws constituting the covenant changes? what changes is that people will know them ad it will be PUT in our minds and inscribed on out hearts this change is critical in understanding the new covenant. this means we will be under the Holy Spirit of God that teaches us all things. Let the Holy Spirit guide you.

Well as THE LAW is composed of 613 commands not just 10.

Also the ten in stone were for Israel alone and the proselytes to Judaism.

Paul told us the laws in stone minister death, not life.

Jesus said He fulfilled the law

Paul said Jesus is the end of the law for righteousness.

We are not under the law of sin and death (the commandments empower sin as Paul said In 1 Cor. 15) But under the law of Christ!

The Bible does present the Ten Commandments as the covenant itself. In Exodus 34:28, it is written:

"So he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread nor drank water. And He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments."
"So He declared to you His covenant which He commanded you to perform, the Ten Commandments; and He wrote them on two tablets of stone (Deuteronomy 4:13, NKJV)

This clearly states that the Ten Commandments are the covenant. When we look at Jeremiah 31:31-33, we see God speaking of a new covenant, but notice what He says:

"Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the Lord.
But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people."

This passage does not say the law itself would change. Instead, it tells us that the ten commandments that are the covenant instead of being written on stone tablets, would be written in our hearts and minds. That means the law remains the same, but its place changes, from external tablets to internal conviction. This is why we see in the Gospels of John, Matthew, Luke and Mark, Jesus teaching the commandments and magnifying them.

Now, let's connect this with the Ark of the Covenant. In Deuteronomy 10:1-5, God commanded Moses to place the two tablets of the Ten Commandments inside the Ark:

"At that time the Lord said to me, ‘Hew for yourself two tablets of stone like the first, and come up to Me on the mountain, and make yourself an ark of wood... Then I turned and came down from the mountain, and put the tablets in the ark which I had made; and there they are, just as the Lord commanded me.’"
This shows the special place of the Ten Commandments, inside the Ark, symbolizing their central role in the covenant. But what about the rest of the law? In Deuteronomy 31:24-26, Moses wrote the book of the law and placed it beside the Ark:

"So it was, when Moses had completed writing the words of this law in a book, when they were finished, that Moses commanded the Levites, who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord, saying: ‘Take this Book of the Law, and put it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there as a witness against you.’”

This distinction is important. The Ten Commandments being described clearly as the Covenant were placed inside the Ark of the Covenant, showing their eternal, unchanging nature as the foundation of the covenant. The rest of the law was placed beside the Ark, acting as a witness.

Now, when Jeremiah speaks of the law being written in our hearts, he is speaking of the same law, the Ten Commandments. The "new" part of the covenant is not that the law changes but that God Himself ensures it is within us, guiding us from within rather than being an external set of rules. This aligns perfectly with how Jesus upheld and fulfilled the law, always pointing back to love for God and neighbor as the foundation of obedience (Matthew 22:36-40).

So, the New Covenant is not about replacing the Ten Commandments but about making them part of who we are.

I have already done this so many times....I have to have a little fun.
Where are the scriptures where God lists the ten commandments that establish the covenant?
"So he was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread nor drank water. And He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments."Exodus 34:28

"So He declared to you His covenant which He commanded you to perform, the Ten Commandments; and He wrote them on two tablets of stone
(Deuteronomy 4:13, NKJV)

there is more....

There you go.

And these are the actual Ten Commandments.
The ten summaries of the Mosaic Law in chapter 20 are not commandments nor covenant laws.
But still have little to do with Christianity.

The Law was a pedigogue, a schoolmaster, that led the Israelites to Christ.
"Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith."
Gal. 3:4

According to Paul, the Law served as a tutor for the Israelites to come to the understanding of the need for a Savior, Christ.
They could not keep its commandments, no one except Christ did.
He fulfilled the Law for us.
So now we are under His Grace
. Once faith is established, the Law is fulfilled. The Law also points us to our sin, defines it. So for the unbeliever, it remains.
"The wages of sin is death." That sentence remains on the lost until they come to faith in Christ.

We are not bound by the Mosaic Law. Death on the Cross was Jesus atoning sacrifice that satisfied God's requirements of the Law.

We are justified and saved through faith in Jesus, not by adherence to the Law.

"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God
: Not of works, lest any man should boast. Eph. 2:8-9

"There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." Rom. 8:1

Believers live under grace, with no condemnation, no judgment - ever.
We have passed from death to life.
We are empowered by the Spirit to love, not like before we were saved, being empowered by and slaves to the flesh hopelessly trying to perform legalistic obligations.

Exodus 24
7 And he took the book of the covenant, and read in the ears of the people. And they said, All that the LORD has said we will do, and be obedient. 8 And Moses took the blood and sprinkled it on the people, and said, Behold the blood of the covenant, which the LORD has made with you concerning all these words.

Notice the covenant was ratified with blood, and the people's obedience to all God's Law, including the 10 Commandments, formed the basis of the covenant.

Te ten commandments inside the ark of the testimony are a testimony against you (as they always were) because you break the covenant. You have broken it and you will break it because you cannot perfectly fulfill them yourself.

Or why do you think there was a mercy seat covering it, which required the blood of atonement to be sprinkled on it by an earthly high priest once a year?

Where is the blood of your covenant? The blood of your atonement?

THE LAW CHANGED WHEN CHRIST HAD DIED FOR SINS

"For the priesthood being changed, there is of necessity a change made in the law also." (Hebrews 7:12).

“Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah: Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the LORD:

For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sins no more." (Jeremiah 31:31-32 & 34b).

Jesus said: "For this is My blood of the new covenant, which is shed for many for the forgiveness of sins. As often as you drink it, do this in remembrance of Me." Matthew 26:28; 1 Corinthians 11:25.

The New Covenant was also ratified with blood.

If you do not have a high priest sprinkling the blood of the sacrifice of atonement once a year on top of the mercy seat containing the tablets of the testimony - the ten commandments - in a physical temple, then you're done for - because the ten commandments are a testimony against you - and you cling to them.

Why don't you rather place your faith in the eternal High Priest who took His blood of atonement with Him into the Tabernacle of God in heaven, whose Spirit He wants to give you to abide in you so that you can produce the fruit of the Spirit which fulfills the ten commandments which are a shadow of the fruit of the living Spirit?

God's apostle tells us why the law was added:

"Why then the Law? It was added because of transgressions, until the Seed should come to those to whom it had been promised, being ordained through angels in the Mediator's hand." (Galatians 3:19).

Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is: love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, faith, meekness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

John 15:4-5
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.

Romans 13:8-10
"Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. For this: Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law."

John 15:10-14
"If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you."

1 John 3:23
"And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight. And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment. And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given us."

1 John 3:17-18
But whoever has this world's goods and sees his brother having need, and shuts up his bowels from him, how does the love of God dwell in him?
My children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth.

John 15:4-5
Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you unless you abide in Me.

Jesus is the eternal mediator of a completely new and different covenant. It does not require your obedience to commandments or law that will always convict you of sin and cause you to die. Instead, the New Covenant requires your faith in Christ and in HIS blood of the eternal covenant and your abiding IN HIM so that the fruit that fulfills the ten commandments (of which the ten commandments are only a shadow) becomes YOUR fruit.

If you continue to hold onto that first covenant that was ratified with the blood of an animal and attempt to gain righteousness leading to eternal life through YOUR obedience to the ten commandments you will die an eternal death - because your best obedience will show up your disobedience and your sin, and that will lead to your eternal death.

The ark of the testimony contained the ten commandments that are the testimony against us. That's why it was covered by a mercy seat that required a high priest to sprinkle the blood of an animal as a sacrifice of atonement for you once a year.

TRUST JESUS!!

I am not taking about the "law"I am taking here about the 10 Commandments, GOD told us it is the COVENANT see the opening post. this covenant was given FIRST to Israel but extended to all peoples through Christ, even in the Old testament, GOD accepted anyone wanted to join Israel under the same covenant do a search in the bible and use the terms sojourn or/and sojourner and see for yourself.

use scripture and define the new covenant, tell me what it contains.

Oh my! Did you read the scriptures you quoted?

10 Then the Lord said: “I am making a covenant with you. Before all your people I will do wonders never before done in any nation in all the world. The people you live among will see how awesome is the work that I, the Lord, will do for you. Obey what I command you today. I will drive out before you the Amorites, Canaanites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites. Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land where you are going, or they will be a snare among you. Break down their altars, smash their sacred stones and cut down their Asherah poles. Do not worship any other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God.

1.“Be careful not to make a treaty with those who live in the land; for when they prostitute themselves to their gods and sacrifice to them, they will invite you and you will eat their sacrifices. And when you choose some of their daughters as wives for your sons and those daughters prostitute themselves to their gods, they will lead your sons to do the same.

2. “Do not make any idols.

3. Celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread. For seven days eat bread made without yeast, as I commanded you. Do this at the appointed time in the month of Aviv, for in that month you came out of Egypt.

4. “The first offspring of every womb belongs to me, including all the firstborn males of your livestock, whether from herd or flock. Redeem the firstborn donkey with a lamb, but if you do not redeem it, break its neck. Redeem all your firstborn sons. “No one is to appear before me empty-handed.

5. “Six days you shall labor, but on the seventh day you shall rest; even during the plowing season and harvest you must rest.

6. “Celebrate the Festival of Weeks with the first fruits of the wheat harvest, and the Festival of Ingathering at the turn of the year.

7. Three times a year all your men are to appear before the Sovereign Lord, the God of Israel. 24 I will drive out nations before you and enlarge your territory, and no one will covet your land when you go up three times each year to appear before the Lord your God.

8. “Do not offer the blood of a sacrifice to me along with anything containing yeast, and do not let any of the sacrifice from the Passover Festival remain until morning.

9. “Bring the best of the first fruits of your soil to the house of the Lord your God.

10. “Do not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk.”

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Write down these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.” Moses was there with the Lord forty days and forty nights without eating bread or drinking water. And he wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant—the Ten Commandments. Exodus 34:10-28

These are the Ten Commandment defined by God Himself. The Ten items in Chapter 20 are basic moral summaries of the 613 Mosaic Laws.

So now we are under His Grace.

Jesus was teaching the Ten Commandments and observed the sabbath, is that evidence that they are no longer in application, quite the contrary.

Matthew 19;

16 Now behold, one came and said to Him, “Good[a] Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?”

17 So He said to him, [b]“Why do you call Me good? [c]No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.”

18 He said to Him, “Which ones?”

Jesus said, “‘You shall not murder,’ ‘You shall not commit adultery,’ ‘You shall not steal,’ ‘You shall not bear false witness,’ 19 ‘Honor your father and yourmother,’ and, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ ”

even Paul said;

Roman 7:12
""So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous, and good.""

faith in Jesus requires to to what he asked us to do to keep the commandments just having faith and no action is no faith at all.

James the brother if Jesus clearly explained this please read;

Faith Without Works Is Dead!!!

14 What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.
he ""works""
18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without [a]your works, and I will show you my faith by [b]my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is [c]dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made [d]perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was[e]accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only.

25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way?

26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

what are these works, they are not the works of the letter of law meaning following the letter of the law blindly like the pharisees did is not the way to to so but to love our neighbour, help one another provide for the least fortunate visit people in need, caring about people , these are the true work of the law that we must follow, this is what Jesus is asking us to do but also th remember for first and greatest commandment, to love God with all our heart and strength.

Jesus taught us to do good works, but not like the Pharisees, who did them just to be seen by people. Jesus wants us to do good works from the heart, with love and honesty, not to seek praise or show off. Here are some verses where Jesus talks about these good works:

1. Helping others quietly and with a pure heart

Matthew 6:1-4 (NKJV)
"Take heed that you do not do your charitable deeds before men, to be seen by them. Otherwise you have no reward from your Father in heaven. Therefore, when you do a charitable deed, do not sound a trumpet before you as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory from men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward. But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly."
2. Feeding the hungry, giving drink to the thirsty, welcoming strangers, clothing the naked, visiting the sick and those in prison

Matthew 25:35-36 (NKJV)
"For I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me."
3. Loving your enemies and praying for those who hurt you

Matthew 5:44 (NKJV)
"But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you."
4. Being a light by doing good works that glorify God, not ourselves

Matthew 5:16 (NKJV)
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven."
5. Forgiving others

Matthew 6:14 (NKJV)
"For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you."
In simple words, the works Jesus asks for are things like helping others without showing off, giving food, visiting people who are sick or lonely, forgiving those who hurt us, and loving everyone — even those who are not kind to us. And all of this should come from true love and kindness, not from pride or the desire to be admired.
