I present LOTS of Scripture. That is preaching the Word.
2 Timothy 4:1-4
1 I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom:
2 Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and DOCTRINE.
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; 4 and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables.

An unbeliever, comes to this forum, and finds a THREAD that is denouncing REAL Christians, who love the Bible, as ""Bibliolatry".
So they think..... "wow that bible can really mess up your head". "Dont want to be one of those". "better AVOID that Bible".
Now you tell me how arguing about this, is Leading someone to Jesus.
Better yet, as you seem not to understand what's going on here., and the OP is so happy that you dont understand.....so i'll just leave it with you.
We are obligated to defend the Bible. Arguing / debating, same thing. On Judgment Day they will be without excuse. If we don't defend the Truth, we will be held accountable! The written Word of God is POWERFUL!

This Thread is not about defending the bible.......its about Christians, who love the bible, being falsely labeled by someone who hates the bible. And within this argument, unbelievers will believe that Bible believing is a bad thing, and weak minded Christians, will be summarily coerced.
It is indeed about defending the Bible! The Bible is under constant attack in this forum.
Forsook - meaning: abandon, desert, forsake, to leave without intending to return.
Is this what you mean by your use of the the word 'forsook'?
Just a question to clarify the much used term in Christian circles. The inspired word. What does inspired mean? Who or what is doing the inspiring. Who or what is being inspired.
One dictionary definition- fill (someone) with the urge or ability to do or feel something, especially to do something creative.
Another, of extraordinary quality, as if arising from some external creative impulse.
Within the bibles God's expressed thoughts are documented. Agreed. But obviously not all. I think everyone would agree with that.
Is God free to choose to reveal or express any of His thoughts to mankind? More than is found in the bibles?
I guess some people have foolishly thought and taught that the bibles contain all of God's truths, all of His thoughts, all of His words. That all that God revealed to humans and has been written down has been gathered and is found in the 88 books of the bible (the most extensive bible).
What a lie that is and needs to be exposed along with many other untruths.
Thankfully the Spirit of Truth has been doing this over the past 2000 years or so.
I though it was about God , His Son Jesus the Christ and Their Spirit Who They sent to live in us.
We are to glorify Them in and outside of this forum.
That They work in us to will and do of Their good pleasure. Three of Them in unity, as one.
And which bible is that? The original KJV with its 80 books? It's shortened version of 66 books. Or the 73 book Catholic bible. Or the Ethiopian bible with its 88 books?
Which of these bibles are you defending? Which one in particular Jack? Maybe all of them?
Why does the bibles need defending in the first place? Where in any of the bibles does anyone say that the bibles needs defending?
I don't recall that instruction or command.
Who said the written word of God is powerful?
Paul wrote theses words, For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
You aren't adding the word, 'written' to his word are you?
Just wanted you to clarify this.
I don't know if Satan hates the bibles but he was more than happy to use the scriptures.

It was written under the influence of the Spirit..by men, who are fallible.
We can and do, also speak under the influence of the Spirit...he speaks through us as our spirit is Born Again...we have direct communication with God, via his witness the Living Spirit who indwells our spirit/ heart.
Why else must we be Born Again to see the Kingdom Of God?
Not just for that...we have also been set free from sin ,eternal damnation and Gods wrath the moment our spirit became Born Again.
We have been reconciled back to God when Spirit gives birth to spirit...he uses us all according to his purpose and plan and will...it can’t be stopped...
We Glorify the Living God..not the Bible...
