Do you believe this? (find some poison and snakes)

Mark 16:17-18 NIV
17 And these signs
will accompany those who believe:
In my name they will drive out demons;
they will speak in new tongues;
18 they will pick up snakes
with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison,
it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on
sick people, and they will get well.”

I kind of like it. It generates conversation and opportunity to teach unbelievers about the Bible.
How well do you know the origin and history of the biblical canons?

Can you teach us about these.

Maybe you could restore people's confidence in one or more of them.

You forsook the Bible so you must know more than God of the Bible?

Bibliolatry: Worship/knowledge of the book MORE than the author

Let's go back to the OP.

For myself,I don't like to Recite texts or the Bible. I like trying to understand the God, why he said this or why he doing that.

Because I've been in too many situations where folks quote the Bible but don't fully understand and understand the meaning of the word of God.

I suggest that we try to think about the words of the Bible in terms of life, not in terms of sin, and maybe you will get a different result.

I kind of like it. It generates conversation and opportunity to teach unbelievers about the Bible.

I see it differently.,
,,,, as unbelievers dont need to be ""taught about the bible""......they need to be shown the Cross to receive salvation, and then then they can be taught the bible, as unbelievers can't ="hear" the word of God out of a bible, as its "spiritually discerned"., only.
So, sharing the gospel with them, is how they "get some bible", and this member we are discussing hates the bible, and is a Universalist, so, he'd lead them to hell while creating more Threads that spit on the Bible... and enjoys it.
You think that is "conversation" that is worth keeping around.......so, i'll leave you to your POV.

I know that new Christians will be faith ruined ( by people who themselves are ruined by some cult).... if you let them park and preach on a "christian": forum.
So, to protect new Believers, has to be Job 1 of a "christian forum".... this has to be the MOD's #1 reason for being the forum police.
Its to keep heretics, the obvious bible hating, theologically confused people, from just posting and Threading their confusion, that is going to ruin a New Believer's faith, or harm any believer who has no foundation in the Grace of God ... = Hebrews 13:6

So, @Jack .

Lets say you were a minister and you had a Church.......and i said........ "i think its good to let heretics preach from your Pulpit and have access to your members to try to deceive them, as this is good conversation, and is good for the unbelievers also".

See, a lot of People mistakenly think a Christian forum is sort of like a cross between Facebook, and whatever someone want to try to prove out of the bible.

And the reality is, if you have the word "CHRISTIAN" as the Title of your Forum, then you have to Honor God by keeping the place free of the liars, and the cults, and the theological misfits.... as otherwise you are inviting Christians to become confused by them, and faith ruined by them, and that is not how you please God or honor God with a "christian" forum.

Whether preaching the Word saves or infuriates people accomplishes our responsibility for Judgment Day. If we stop preaching because people hate us we would never preach the Word. We are delivering our souls. But you make some valid points!

2 Corinthians 3:6

Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

Amen!

The inspired word says, that we are to seek the Lord God out with all of our heart mind and souls.

My calling is to preach ,that God is a mighty Living Spirit.....who indwell our heart/ spirit,

Recite Bible without understanding of God, that makes no sense to me.
Excellent.....Amen!..makes no sense to me either.

Remember though...some know what they read about God from their own understanding.

There are those who are still yet to be Born Again and know him in their spirit.

Some don’t know God in their heart/ spirit...that’s why we must be Born Again to see the Kingdom Of God.

2 Timothy
2:23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
Sounds like a VERY clear NO!

Whether preaching the Word saves or infuriates people accomplishes our responsibility for Judgment Day.

There is no preaching going on here.

Preaching involves The Cross of Christ, not brainless arguing against people who love the bible.

Consider that a unbeliever, reading this Thread, is going to think......>>"i dont want to be one of those'., as the OP is accusing Christians of Becoming.
So, that is harmful to the unbelievers.

If we stop preaching because people hate us we would never preach the Word. We are delivering our souls. But you make some valid points!

Again, you are not preaching.
You are arguing on a Thread that is designed to accuse Christians of loving the bible.
This is not sharing JESUS with unbelievers, @Jack .
