Jack, which bible is, in your opinion, the Christian biblical canon? You have refered to the Christian Bible. Which one is it?
Are you still hearing voices in your head? Your Apostasy is glaring. Remember what you admitted?

"Personally I have left Hawaii (bible) and have gone further afield."

Christians don't forsake the Bible. What is your religion? Universalism maybe?

Amazing.
You have asked him a half dozen times. Yet he has failed to answer. How come? (I wonder)

Interesting that the Bible is "the Word of God", unless someone quotes a translation you disagree with.

The Biblical cannon....does not birth our spirit....that is a supernatural act that can only be performed by the Living Spirit.

There are many imo, who follow the teachings of the Bible...yet, don’t know the Spirit of Christ in their heart.

I don’t really understand the question...maybe because I became Born Again ,having never read a Bible...I think quite a few believe that the inspired word is the Living God...as we know in our hearts/ spirit...it’s not.

Like I’ve explained, not all have fellowship or are a child ( spirit) Of God.

Agree.

It pretty much becomes like any other religion of man at that point.
And those who practice it that way accuse Spirit-filled believers of "over-spiritualizing" it.

100% agree...Amen!

Don’t worry about them...when you have the Living witness/ testimony indwelling your spirit/ heart.

Most of the time..if they are looking for a flesh argument...I will ignore.

I’m growing up in Christ....Praise God...

@One 2 question is asking Jack which translation of the Bible is the "Christian" Bible.
It's a good question, which Jack refuses to answer.

If Jack does answer, his false claims against One 2 question will fall apart.

I don’t really understand the question

As there have been many bible canons with different books in them, like the first one that was put in circulation amoung the early church which had only 11 scrolls/books.

More books were added over time, the Catholic bible with 73 books, until the Ethiopian bible complete with 88 books became probably the most exhaustive.

Here's a more detailed explanation:

The Vulgate:
St. Jerome's Latin translation and compilation of the 66 books into a single volume is known as the Vulgate.

Council of Rome:
The Council of Rome in 382 A.D. played a crucial role in determining the canon of the Bible, including the 73 books of the Catholic Church canon.

Protestant Canon:
The 66-book canon of most Protestant denominations emerged later, with the Apocrypha being excluded.

King James Bible:
The King James Bible, originally with 80 books, was first printed in 1609, and revised and printed again in 1611.

Apocrypha Removal:
The Apocrypha was officially removed in 1885, leaving only 66 books in the Protestant canon.

My question to Jack is which one was he refering to when he used the term, Christian bible.

Thanks for the clarification.
I assumed that you were asking Jack which translation of the Bible is the "Christian" Bible.
And frankly, I'm not sure why Jack would choose an earlier canon. ???

Is it fair to question the idea of a closed canon? In this case, the legitimacy of a biblical canon.

It was initially open so that writings could be collected and compiled to form a canon. Then someone must've come to the conclusion that they had all that was needed, then closed it.

Was it God who inspired him to do that? Was it something he took upon himself to do with possibly good intentions?

History tells us that it was closed temporarily. It may have been closed but not locked and the key thrown away. Someone or someone's decided to reopen it and add more scrolls to it. Then some removed some. This happened multiple time.

So is it really a closed canon? And who decides what's in and what's out?

Did the infallible God Who kept changing His mind? Or was it fallible humans?

I think we know the answer to this one. Maybe????

Sadly, the enemy has duped many into believing that the Spirit can leave our spirit, ..which is impossible once we have been Born Of The Spirit......

It IS possible. Samson in the book of Judges and King Solomon of the Book of kings, Proverbs, and Ecclesiastes. Those are two examples of people of God that had the spirit of God leaving their spirit. Because of things they did to be separated from God.

There are many imo, who follow the teachings of the Bible...yet, don’t know the Spirit of Christ in their heart.

Likewise, there are people who are spiritual, but aren't scriptural or follow the teachings of the bible.

Possessing Spirit and having the Spirit possess us is essential. For it is these who are children of the Divine Father.

Possessing the bible or any other book is not essential.

I would not dare compare a book with the Person God sent to indwelling us.

For those who do it could be seen as bibliolatry. What do you think?

That's for sure.

I would not be surprised if its the majority.

Many haven't experienced the Spirit, they haven't heard from Him or talk with Him. They are more ok to keep God the Father at a distance, in heaven. They are content to talk to God the Father at Jesus's left but not Jesus Whose right there. And even less will interact with the Spirit Himself Who is around them, maybe even in them.

Now that's sad.
