Why would Peter be living after the manner of the Gentiles (and not as the Jews) if Peter was a Jew? Not only that, but then start compelling the Gentiles to live as the Jews (which Paul said Peter did not live as they did)?

Scripture doesnt say.........do you have an opinion

Jesus revealed the mystery only to Paul.......Paul revealed it to others and the Spirit revealed it to others

It says it was (revealed) to them (plurally) by (the Spirit)

There were quite a few apostles and prophets

[Act 14:14 KJV] 14 [Which] when the apostles, Barnabas and Paul, heard [of], they rent their clothes, and ran in among the people, crying out,
[Rom 16:7 KJV] 7 Salute Andronicus and Junia, my kinsmen, and my fellowprisoners, who are of note among the apostles, who also were in Christ before me.
[1Co 4:9 KJV] 9 For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.

Right, and so not revealed unto Paul alone, but rather as Paul said himself, it was revealed unto the plurally

The last verse always reminded me a little of the following scenario

Rev 6:10 And they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O Lord, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

How long will you NOT avenge our blood

Rev 6:11 And white robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them, that they should rest yet for a little season, until their fellowservants also and their brethren, that should be killed as they were, should be fulfilled.

Then answers them that more of their brethren should be killed as they were first, and seeing Paul says this of the apostles set forth last as appointed to death

1Co 4:9 For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.

And then finally, God avenging the same are mentioned here finally mention the apostles here

Rev 18:20 Rejoice over her, thou heaven, and ye holy apostles and prophets; for God hath avenged you on her.
