I dont think he was talking about you , he just sent a video showing one of the main kings of delusoin
KENNETH COPELAND . it might have just been a general warning he was giving .

Well, I'm kinda wanting specifics. I know there are a lot of people here who post on them, and I don't think they should be told that "dreams and visions that come today" (the title of this thread) are not from God. That appears to be the insinuation. He could also be talking about those who post on dreams and visions at other Christian forums as well, so I would like it from him personally on who he is referring to in the OP specifically.

Read both deut chapter thirteen and eighteen .
How do we know if a dream or vision IS of the LORD .
WELL if any part of said dream or vision contradicts His words , OH ITS A FALSE ONE ALL RIGHT .
Actually look around in the bible
and you see what the true prophets warned about to a sin laden isreal and jersualem .
YOU CAN BET it was not messages , dreams and visions about Ya best life now , prospeirty , many paths junk
and ye shall have peace . Many dream all right .
and they prophesy all right , the ONLY PROBLEM IS , ITS OF THEIR OWN hearts desire , NOT THE DESIRE OF GOD .

Dreams from God don't usually teach new doctrines. They are more likely to be personal revelations. So stick to the scriptures and test everything.

I recall a dream that illustrated to me how disgusting it is to pick and choose what we believe from scripture. It is common sense and written in Leviticus 20:22

This is an excellent point. In my experience, very rarely will they teach doctrine. The vast majority of dreams will refer to personal matters, and constitute personal prophecy on things going on in the lives of believers. This in turn is what makes it a disqualification of dreams in general when everything in them must somehow be confirmed by the word of God itself.

I fully agree that when doctrines are put forth or implied, they must line up with the word of God. But I don't agree with the supposition that if they don't teach scripture or can be backed up by scripture directly that they are not.

so long as the dream dont CONTRADICT scripture . you are right my friend
many of these so called dream prophets
will spend hours teaching the church , ONLY IT AINT DOCTRINE
its all about experiences , about money , about us even being EQUAL to GOD . pretty scary huh .
Kenneth copeland been teaching , HEY WE EQUAL TO THE FATHER .
and before one thinks oh he dont mean it like that .
HE is the same man
that said , I HAD to TELL GOD , TELL GOD . TELL GOD
to GET THE SON OUTTA MY WAY SO I COULD GET THE JOB DONE . not only does he see himself
as EQUAL TO GOD TO CHRIST , bud HE SEES HIMSELF AS GREATER THAN .
REMINDS ME of ...................I SHALL BE AS GOD , satan said that .

Yes, it may prove to be impossible to judge a personal revelation against scriptures in practice. However the exception is if you are told something personal in the dream that is contrary to God's promises, I would instead believe it is from the enemy.

This is an interesting testimony, Hobie, and I have zero doubt that there are indeed people who will manipulate others for the sake of money through so-called dreams (all of it appears to have been faked in that testimony).

But now my contention has not been that such things do not occur. My contention has been with a statement made in your OP:

Again, who are the "slew of people" you are referring to specifically? You are posting on a Christian forum where dreams and visions are posted quite regularly and taken as coming from the Lord. The suggestion is that you are referring to them, or am I mistaken?
Well, if you want to make it about this forum, ask how here many reject half of Gods Word, the Old Testament, or reject Gods Law the Ten Commandments saying its done away with, or reject His Sabbath to say the least. So need to discern my brother...

Isaiah 8:20
To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

Hobie, since you brought this up, let me ask you about your theology. Are you SDA or a Bible Student perhaps?

I was asked the following question which gave me pause to think about this..

"Do you believe that people will still have dreams and visions from God today?"

We know what the Bible says will happen at the end..
Joel 2:28
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

Acts 2:17
And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

We seemed to have gotten a slew of people lately saying they have had dreams and visions from God and most have turned out to be false or worse, teaching doctrines of demons. So how will the Holy Spirit be poured out in the end times if not in dreams and visions, and how will they know if it is truly the Holy Spirit versus a unclean or evil spirit.
The Joel and Acts passages say that God will pour out His spirit upon "all" flesh--meaning upon both the evil and the good. Which is not only a prophecy for the end of days, but began at Pentecost and continues to the end, as these are the last days.

As for how to know which is evil and which is good, "A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit" (Matthew 7:17).

God will pour His Spirit out on all flesh, that accepts Jesus as their Savior. Not all flesh, otherwise there would not be a sheep and goat's prophesy.

Hello Scott, and how are you? : )

About your interpretation here, I don't see anywhere in Acts where God poured out His Spirit upon the evil. He poured it out upon those who were hungry for the Lord, such as Cornelius, whom scripture says was a devout man, and gave alms and worshipped the True God.

The meaning of "all flesh" there in context is in reference to believers of all ages, from youngest to oldest. "Your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams."

Hope you are well, and good seeing you again.

But there is a sheep and goats prophecy: False Teachers were to (and have) entered into the church, teaching lies, and causing strong delusion and great apostacy.

Moreover, the passage does not stipulate only those "that accept Jesus as Savior", as if NOT "all" but only part of "all flesh." Indeed, all flesh is rather accursed, destine to return to the dust and be destroyed.

In order for this to be true, Scott, there would have had to have been evil people who had the Spirit poured out upon them on the Day of Pentecost, yes? : ) If so, which ones were they?

Thank you! I am well.

"All" when appearing after Jesus said, "It is finished", after which His next acts were to be for "another fold" which He "must also bring", was to mean unto "all" the nations of the gentiles--that is the context.

"All."

Of which some were at that time beginning to follow Jesus among the few who were Jews--yes, still in Acts shinning as "a light unto the gentiles"--not to be confused as only pertaining to them, but rather to "all." But what limit is there among "all" "who are called?" There is none, except the son of perdition. Even among Israel, who's father was "the devil", "all" were "called." But you refer to the "few" rather, who are "chosen." Even so, "there will be one flock and one shepherd."

soon all will believe the lie . they will believe God and HIS SPIRIT is upon
all the religoins . a delusoin grows and grows daily it surely does .
THEY , many already beleive other religoins are fine with GOD .
many already beleive and have made a motto that says ALL YE NEED DO is BELEIVE IN LOVE .
but that there version of there love IS A LIE .
Soon they will gather as one and the day of armeggon cometh .
for many loved a lie and desired what humanity has always desired
a god that promises them the lusts of their heart and winks and says and no worries ye all have salvation too .

No, not in the context of Acts 2. It would be another 10 years before the Spirit would ever be poured out upon a Gentile. The "all" He poured out the Spirit upon were all Jews, and those they were speaking in tongues to were all Jews.

All who had the Spirit poured out upon them in Acts 2 were Jews who believed in the Lord Jesus Christ, so again I would ask who among them were evil in your opinion?

You are looking at the "light (or presentation) to the gentiles" as the event...which is not how this all actually works.

Revelations of foreshadowing, prophecies, or enactments of "light" in this world, are not the actual events. You can (and most do) look at everything in the context of the timing of revelation events made manifest, but again, that is not the whole and accurate or "all truth" of it. By that same measure, Christ would have only saved himself in the crucifixion. But no, we "were crucified with Him"...and He was "slain before the foundation of the world"--and we also "with Him."

But I am not giving my interpretation or opinion. These are the days of "all truth" being revealed as promised and written, not merely days of enactments of revelations made manifest that have been until now.

The answer then, is "all" were evil, and "all" called, but "few" chosen. As it is also written, "all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23). But don't misunderstand: No one who is born (again) of the spirit of God, is fallen, or evil, or having sin. And if you presume to divide the evil from the good, which was before the foundation of the world--not only will you error, but presume to be God. The problem is, this issue would appear to reside within a smaller context, but does not...which, yes, is why Paul preached the renewing of your mind. Best to get use to it--as these are the days foretold.
