3 Dreams/Visions In A Night

I normally post my dreams/Visions in the blog section but thought I could post them here as well. These are 3 consecutive dreams or possibly visions, I had last night. (23/12/24) It was difficult for me to determine whether these were dreams or visions because I was still awake but my eyes were closed.

Dream About The Rose:1.
I was holding a rose in my hand. It was a beautiful and deep red in color. As I looked at it, it began to wilt and the edges of the petals began to change color from red to brown. It continued to change color until it was completely dried out and some of the petals fell off, then I dropped it to the ground.

Walking In The Snow:2
I was walking down a snow covered slope making my way to the bottom and I was wearing snow shoes.
As I trudged through the snow, a skier came whizzing past me down the slope, then another but I kept walking till I got to a sled. I thought that I would make more progress using the sled so I undid my snow shoes and hopped in the sled but it did not go any faster than when I was walking in snow shoes.

Stargazing:3
I was sitting on a precipice of some kind, very high up and it was night time. The stars were out in their full glory and I could see them surrounding me like I had a 360 view.. As I looked out at them, I seemed insignificant in comparison to everything that God had made and sensed the immensity of all his creation. Then suddenly, a shooting star came flying accross the sky and it came so close, I felt like I could reach out and touch it.

I've got part of this. Question: you said you walked until you got to a 'sled'. Please explain, sled as in toboggan or snowmobile? Also, did you mind being in the snow? Is snow in real life something you're used to or do you live somewhere that doesn't get snow?

This is what I got so far -
Of course the rose is you, this is how the Lord sees you. Beautiful!

Song of Solomon 2:1-2 Like a lily among thorns is my darling among the maidens. Like an apple tree among the trees of the forest is my lover among the young men. I delight to sit in his shade, and his fruit is sweet to my taste.​

The rose represents you standing with the Word and dying to yourself.

Isaiah 40:6-8 A voice says, “Cry out!” And I asked, “What should I cry out?” “All flesh is like grass, and all its glory like the flowers of the field. 7The grass withers and the flowers fall when the breath of the LORD blows on them; indeed, the people are grass. 8The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God stands forever.”​

This is the cool part, Isaiah 40:6-8 is quoted by Peter in 1 Peter 1:22-25. Peter is the disciple who walked on water...like you did in part 2.
Snowshoes on snow. Snowshoes prevent you from sinking into the snow. Walking on frozen water!

The last scene is so appropriate given the current season. You're sitting there watching a celestial event and we're going into Christmas. Now I know this isn't Jesus' real b-day and the whole wise man thing, but it doesn't change the fact this is what Christians celebrate at this time. We're celebrating our bright morning star (Revelation 22:16) coming to earth. A beautiful celestial event, a shooting star!

What does it all mean? I think the Lord is acknowledging your growth in Him by dying to self. You're walking in faith (on water...er snow) through it. Complete faith His taking you where you need to go.

In a class I was taking yesterday, I learned something that I'm really feel applies here. The teacher talked about Genesis 17:1,

"When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty; walk before me faithfully and be blameless."​

The Hebrew word used in this verse for the words "before me" means to walk towards my face. (Strong's Hebrew: 6440. פָּנִים (panim or paneh) -- Face, presence, countenance, before). Peter had to keep his focus on Jesus otherwise he'd sink. Walk towards His face. Abraham was also told his children would outnumber the stars (Genesis 15:5).

It feels like the Lord is calling you into a covenant of sorts or there's a big change coming, maybe?

I am listening to the bible on-line and I heard this passage this morning as I listened to the Book of Isaiah.

That's fantastic! Not everyone is so blessed. Sometimes, I find my own dreams hard to understand. I'll just wait and God'll either eventually give me the interpretation or bring someone in my path to help.

When you pray for people, they are like the rose in your hand. With me you spoke life and I am still here with a normal heart beat. It is easy to not know, but it is hard sometimes to have faith when The Lord does not act right away. This is when the enemy sneaks in and you saw what happened to the rose. I am not a prayer warrior, as that is not my calling, but when I see the need I pray and believe. To me there is no room for doubt as The Lord has already said He would do it. And I believe His words before all else.

Where I live it snows and I learned to take days off according to The Lord rather than driving back and forth to work. I used to work four days a week so if I missed a day my check would be a lot less. Looking back I remember the three day check going much further when ever I asked The Lord (What should I do?) which makes no earthy sense and yet it was so. "I thought I would make more progress" verses "what should I do?"

Oh my Lord, this is so true, so true - "What is man that You are so mindful of him?" I was thinking this very thing this morning. God is so good and so kind and so precious xox

To me the rose represents the blood of Christ and the petals changing different colors could represent the promises he has given you but upon it dying you dropped it this part sticks out to me

The snow and sled one could mean you are on a path to walk and you may be trying to get there faster but you have to do it in God's pace not yours which is why the sled didn't change anything
But this is just my two cents

I always know when they are God dreams because I can remember them. And can often see the meaning straight away and if I can't I ask and all becomes clear. Not all our dreams are God dreams there's a big difference from ordinary dreams and the meanings attached to them. I was reading this morning about the God dream given to the magi and wondered if the all had the same dream or just one.

You know sometimes dreams from him have no real meaning sometimes they are for comfort I had a dream not long ago see I tell him all the time I just want to see him smile to me that smile of his is worth a thousand words and not long ago had a dream where I was before Jesus sitting on his throne and he was just smiling at me not saying anything just smiling short and sweet dream

I have met Jesus many times in dreams and sometimes actual encounters
it seems to me though it is not common to meet Jesus but this doesn't have to be this way he is not just some distant God in another realm he is an actual person and he will come to you if you invite him

The beautiful thing about God is that He invites us first. He pursues us. He calls us to come away and be in His presence. It is He who knocks on our heart's door. We just need to hear and respond.

Okay folks, I just want to clarify some things here. This is a Dreams an Visions forum. Not a discussion forum about D&V. If you want to discuss areas about D&V please create a thread in the Spirituality section. This section is for members who want to post a thread about their dreams or visions because they want to know what God maybe saying to them, they need clarification or are making sure that what they have gotten out of it is in-line what what they have already understood in their heart. That is why we brought in a number of dream interpreters and also welcome members who may just get a word from the lord for the dreamer.

Not all interpreters are the same. I can interpret dreams through revelation from the Holy Spirit and it may take a day or two and he will show me in a form of a vision. However, I cannot always interpret my own dreams. Members like Shekinah Glory can get a direct interpretation from the Holy Spirit and she would be considered a (biblical) dream interpreter but that does not discount the fact that the Holy Spirit can interpret dreams through a variety of other gifts.

Also keep in mind that this is the first time we have ever had a D&V section here @CyB and we are trying to navigate our way through this. It was something that God placed on my heart to do because it will be used powerfully in the days ahead.
