Dreams and Visions that come today.

I was asked the following question which gave me pause to think about this..

"Do you believe that people will still have dreams and visions from God today?"

We know what the Bible says will happen at the end..
Joel 2:28
And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:

We seemed to have gotten a slew of people lately saying they have had dreams and visions from God and most have turned out to be false or worse, teaching doctrines of demons. So how will the Holy Spirit be poured out in the end times if not in dreams and visions, and how will they know if it is truly the Holy Spirit versus a unclean or evil spirit.

Of course , I have had dreams . I was shown my future in a dream and @6 months later it happened .

So how will the Holy Spirit be poured out in the end times if not in dreams and visions, and how will they know if it is truly the Holy Spirit versus a unclean or evil spirit.

Of course , I have had dreams . I was shown my future in a dream and @6 months later it happened .

But there are other spirits that are 'unclean' out there to say nothing of the devil himself, that is not a true way to discern.

So when the devil came, he tempted Jesus to turn stones into bread, he tempted Jesus to throw Himself down from the pinnacle of the temple. Then this is interesting, Satan twisted Scripture to suggest that if Jesus were truly the Son of God, angels would protect Him. But with Scripture read rightly, Jesus counters the temptation, this tells us what we must do.

But there are other spirits out there to say nothing of the devil himself, that is not a true way to discern.

I know of Satan and his cohorts and he knows where I live and he also knows Who's I am . A gift of the Holy Spirit is discernment , you did know that didn't you .

God knows our future in detail . The dream was given to me in detail , never had a dream before like that one . Part of it was in high definition detail , it was if I was really there but it was a dream .

I will give you something to ruminate on .

I had dream and this dream was different than any dream I could remember having before and I will describe it to you .

In the dream I am standing in doorway looking in a room and I have a unseen narrator tell me this is a hospital room . I look the room over and see a regular hospital bed with the usual rails , I see the usual roll around table/tray for use while in bed , I see a chair next to the bed and that is it . I notice there are not any medical hookups on the wall at all , nothing for oxygen , no blood pressure cuff just none of of the normal stuff , the wall was just a blank wall behind the head of the bed . After seeing the blank wall I say this is not a hospital room but the narrator said yes it is . I say oh well the is only a dream anyway .( This is the first dream I ever remember being aware I was in a dream .)

Now in the dream I am standing between the bed and the outside window looking out the window , the window is maybe 4X8 and a single pane , never seen a window like this in a hospital before . As I look out the window it is the most exquisite detail and color , vivid , bright and sunny and it is if I am really there and not just a dream , so real it seems . I can tell I am more than a few stories up from the ground . Is see the city streets and parking lot below and in the distance city buildings and further I see a mountain . I am told by the narrator there will be a flood there at the hospital . I say but what effect would that be on me ? This floor is way off the ground ! The narrator said there will be a flood . I say oh whatever this is just a dream .

There are more elements to the dream but I am not sharing today .

I tell my wife of the dream the next day because of the view out the window in the dream being so real and then in few days I never give the dream another thought .

About six moths later I find myself in a very unexpected situation , but God knew it was coming for me . Things involving the supernatural things of God were manifesting in my life after I had said a prayer and over the course of a few days an implosion of sorts occurred and my well being and sanity was brought into question . So I was admitted to a hospital to be observed and checked on much to my displeasure because the things of God were happening now in my life ! Why would I be confined to the hospital now ! I was admitted and it was dark when I wheeled into my hospital room and I was most dejected and thought why God am I in the hospital .

The next morning I woke up and got out of bed and stood to look out my window in my hospital . OH MY it is the hospital window view from my dream I am in the hospital room and it is just as I saw in the dream ! ! I cried , I laughed , I prayed and thanked God because I then knew without a doubt God had shared my future with me !

No, one wanted to be a elder but had told the others that he had visions or dreams where a "angel" gave him instructions. Well he had been having other issues with members and had been divisive and verbally put down members because they were black which shocked us. So clearly he was not in tune with the principles of Christ to say nothing of what he was trying to do under this "angel"..

Our board disagrees with what we have done and feels we should not have addressed you with the private decision we have made. We ask that those that have a web site to please put the information back (if you have made changes or taken the site down), and to those that have read and supported the dreams to please be patient with us. The constant daily travel, different motels every night and then ending with the presentation each weekend has made us both exhausted.

Even worse, he is involved in a sexually deviant life style which we just learned of. The deeper you go, the worse it gets. We are all very disturbed over this. Becky wants to ask for your forgiveness as well that she was deceived.

We have repented of our sins and pray that healing will come to you and all those we have affected. On a positive note, we are glad that the Creeping Compromise book has gone out to many people.

If you have sent donations to us, we plan to pay it back if and when we are able. In His mercy and gracious love…Ernie and Becky

You can say "God bless", "Love and Prayers", "I repent". I didn't see Jesus in any of your post. The power of the Holy Spirit wasn't in any of your post. Fake people are always trying to take people's money. That's the Key. True born-again believers don't store their riches on earth.

Old Testament doesn't work now. IF Jesus does not come out of their mouths, its false. The Holy Spirit testifies of Jesus Christ. A false prophet will never preach the Blood of Jesus.

Dreams from God don't usually teach new doctrines. They are more likely to be personal revelations. So stick to the scriptures and test everything.

I recall a dream that illustrated to me how disgusting it is to pick and choose what we believe from scripture. It is common sense and written in Leviticus 20:22

Dreams from God never teach new doctrine or contradict scripture. Most of my dreams are personal, but the ones that are prophetic come true, sometimes 2 weeks or sometimes 2 years, I have a few more that haven't come true yet.

This is an interesting testimony, Hobie, and I have zero doubt that there are indeed people who will manipulate others for the sake of money through so-called dreams (all of it appears to have been faked in that testimony).

But now my contention has not been that such things do not occur. My contention has been with a statement made in your OP:

Again, who are the "slew of people" you are referring to specifically? You are posting on a Christian forum where dreams and visions are posted quite regularly and taken as coming from the Lord. The suggestion is that you are referring to them, or am I mistaken?

How do we know if a dream or vision IS of the LORD .
WELL if any part of said dream or vision contradicts His words , OH ITS A FALSE ONE ALL RIGHT .
Actually look around in the bible
and you see what the true prophets warned about to a sin laden isreal and jersualem .
YOU CAN BET it was not messages , dreams and visions about Ya best life now , prospeirty , many paths junk
and ye shall have peace . Many dream all right .
and they prophesy all right , the ONLY PROBLEM IS , ITS OF THEIR OWN hearts desire , NOT THE DESIRE OF GOD .

Old Testament doesn't work now. IF Jesus does not come out of their mouths, its false. The Holy Spirit testifies of Jesus Christ. A false prophet will never preach the Blood of Jesus.

Dreams from God never teach new doctrine or contradict scripture. Most of my dreams are personal, but the ones that are prophetic come true, sometimes 2 weeks or sometimes 2 years, I have a few more that haven't come true yet.

That man is one of the kings of deceptoin . there are others too . even now we see a queen
of harlots who has been put into the faith office , named paula white . and they are not alone either
