The broad spectrum of Christianity VERSUS the narrow-minded view

Aren’t we called to respect all denominations?

I’m sure Jesus taught that?.

I haven’t always done that, have you?

I’ve been called by God to respect all denominations, I am now I believe, obedient to his word in that area...

Oh sister, beware of the carnal reasonings of man, it is a snare for the soul. "Denominations" aren't even mentioned in the bible...they are the inventions of men who depart from the simplicity that is in Christ. It's not about denominations but about individual souls who either belong to Him or don't belong to Him and who either follow Him and His word or are going their own way. And a "church" is simply a gathering of those who belong to Him.

We are not called to "respect" any church group or individual that is preaching falsehoods.....bible speaks on thiswise: with "such a one do not even eat" and "from such turn away"...or "rebuke strongly", etc. That doesn't mean to be malicious or not to have the love of God for such (and human sentimentality is not the love of God), but it means we must not have fellowship with them. Come out from among them and touch not the unclean thing they have going on...."be ye separate" from such.

My response is the same.

Even though you are ascribing a meaning that GOD didn't intend? You know, something that is said only actually means what the person saying it means, not what others may ascribe to it.

Yes I believe Jesus did die for all in one sense, but all will not receive that indescribable gift sadly. Jesus said "Ye MUST be born again." He preached the necessity of believing on Him and receiving His Spirit. We need ears to hear what the Spirit is saying with these things.

They are always learning but never able to come to the knowledge of the TRUTH .
Always remember , paul preached CHRIST and HIM crucified , he didnt use the wisdom of men and their words
lest the cross of CHRIST become of no effect . Rather he even taught , LET HE who is wise in this world
become a fool that he may become wise . THE WISDOM of THIS world is foolishness with GOD .
HE taketh the wise in their own crafitiness , they own wisdom has them IN THE PIT
of which mans wisdom cannot set them free and pull them out of it .
What seems wise to men is FOOLISHNESS to GOD .
And it was by the foolishness of preaching that GOD CHOSE to save them who do BELEIVE .
Who do BELEIVE . never let st steven or scores of others convince us otherwise .

Why would you limit that to the "born-again" camp?

[

Those who BELEIVE IN JESUS THE CHRIST are the born again .
but beware for many beleive in another jesus and that aint no christ and it cannot save them .

In the letter of john we will find the simple answer of WHO the BORN again are .............
I believe its in chapter five if i recall . He who beleives .......................

Someone said that all denominations have their part in the body .
Well by what i have seen about the only part their doctrines have in the body
cometh of the rear from which the waste exits . Bad doctrine , blasphemous doctrine does not save
does not have ANY PART in edifying the true body but rather only grows as does a chancor till it leavens them full .

We aren't called to go around trying to establish our own righteousness (which falls short of the glory of God) , but need to submit to the righteousness of God in Christ. (That's where the Law fell short. Remember the gospel even came to those who were keeping the Law FIRST).

THAT was and IS still the PLAN of GOD . To save those WHO BELEIVE in JESUS the CHRIST .
but as rick warren and the churches seeker friendly inclusive methods has overtaken the denominations
most reject this now . they do so unto their own destruction . they preach a false love
they beleive will reconcile man to GOD , but in truth its methods have only reconciled the lost to the lost
and they merge now as one under what they THINK is GOD , IS LOVE and shall save them .

yet many reject them words in that there holy book . Well they do so unto their own destruction .
Sheep feed on them words , wolves and others twist them adding wolf chow into the mix .
Lambs dont feet on shoat or geep food . The blend will not do to the taste buds and or the nostrils of a lamb .
ITS DESIRE is A GOD GIVEN DESIRE to HONOR and GLORIFY THE FATHER AND THE SON .
And men who trod under the words of truth , WELL THEY SURE DONT GLORIFY and HONOR THE SON OR THE FATHER .

The word Trinity isn't in the Bible either.

Furthermore, denominations came as a result of the Protestant Reformation.
Do you think we should all have remained Catholic?

The verses says what it means and means what it says.

1 John 2:2 NIV
He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.
